God treats you the way you treat others. And he treats others the way they treat you. It makes you stop and think doesn't it? How powerful our words and actions are. They can encourage, hurt, anger, scorn, or uplift someone. How careful we all need to be when it comes to what we say. I have often been accused of being blunt and saying whatever I want but honestly, not anymore. I will never lie to you if you ask me point blank what is on my mind or what is the matter but I choose my words carefully. But to know God is listening and aware should make us all more accountable. I watch my husband as he displays such kindness to strangers everyday when we go out. He lets cars all out in front of him, he holds the door at church for all to exit before him and he even will help bus our own table at a restaurant just to be of help. I watch people's reaction to him. It is honestly both funny and kinda sad when people just sit in their car and stare at him when he stops and waves them out. Do you believe some don't move at all? One week we were leaving WalMart and I saw a wall displayed filled with the faces of missing children. I told my husband he should pray over the wall and the looks, mainly dirty or judgemental were just astounding as he laid hands on the wall and quietly prayed. So believe me, we Christians need to step up our "A Game" and be more like Christ....why? Because people are watching and you can set a wonderful example of how to be. Because now? The witness of kind acts are so obscure they are looked upon as strange so we all have some work to do. So do it for yourself...you will feel so good but most importantly do it for God. He will be most pleased.
