Did you know there are 6 things the Lord hates and seven He despises? Would you be shocked to know that the 7th is when someone creates dissension amongst his people? Division. Divide and conquer. The secular term for it? Trouble maker. Jesus hates the dissension the trouble maker causes. He does not despise the person but their actions. So it is the act of man, not man that saddens the Lord. But who ever knew how serious it was. This action than causes discord amongst family members, churches, friends, co-workers, the list goes on and on. It is because of their intent behind it. The deliberate act of someone who is very aware of what they are saying and what the outcome will be. How do we overcome this? Especially when it is against you? Be the peacemaker. Stay in peace, create peace, keep peace and make peace. Matthew 5:9 says, "blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. " God wants you to know that if you are the subject of some one's lies or deception today, pray for them, forgive them and keep peace in your heart. If someone is deliberately causing trouble for you today without any merit, stay in prayer and know the Lord will deal with them. No weapon formed against you will prosper, He will fight this for you so.....keep the faith and hold the peace! Have a blessed Monday!
Proverbs 6:16-19
16 There are six things the Lord hates, Seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood; 18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, 19 a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Church was so good. The message was so spot on. All about how we handle life's difficult circumstances. Pastor Bruce is awesome. So blessed to have such a solid leader! But the truth is we all will face difficult times. It is called life. It is to be expected. What is not predictable is how we handle the hard situations. Do you give up? Do you run and hide? Do you get mad at God? Or do you stand still and know that He is God? Always know that whatever we are facing, Jesus is on the other side and will carry us through. For this too shall pass. Whatever we lose now, we will gain 100 fold. So stay the course, stay in prayer, praise the Lord even when you don't want to. God is for us and He moves by our voices of praise. Whatever we face now will help us grow and help others later. So victory is ours. Just believe. And remember......ALL IT TAKES TO SEE A MIRACLE ARE EYES OF FAITH!
Psalm 55 - our lesson in church is all about this psalm.

Are we being responsible or are we being fearful? When we are experiencing something in our lives that is not bringing us contentment or fulfilment or satisfaction and we do nothing about it, are we being responsible and accepting life's "card" for us or are we simply afraid....afraid of the unknown, or afraid of change? We can be more specific in using an example of our current relationship or current job situation. Are either satisfied fully? Judge the tree by the fruit. Ask yourself....am I being fulfilled? Is my current situation hindering my Christian walk in any way? Am I exemplifying God in my workplace? Is God even present in my current relationship? Am I ignoring God's voice and choosing to play it safe or am I in God's will for my life? Are my priorities spiritual or secular? Those are tough questions to ask but we all need to self examine ourselves. We allow ourselves to be evaluated at our workplace for our professional life so isn't our personal life more important than how well we teach our class or how quickly we type a letter? Why is God always the last in people's lives and not front, center and ever present? I am as guilty as the next when I was working and making a good living and traveling and living the high life but my you know what? My job did not allow me time to attend church....I was always working weekends and nights so I was never home to attend Saturday's 6:30pm or Sunday's 9am or 11am. I was either on the road on my way to work or already there. And it eventually took its toll and caught up to me and I had to face the reality that it came between me and God. He had to come to me through another person to tell me He was not pleased with me. That I had placed so many other things and people in front of Him. I was so ashamed. So believe me, I understand where you are. I was there. But we all have our own story. I am simply posing the question to you ... are you living your life right and living it for God? Is He the center of your life?

Hold on for your miracle is right around the corner! Don't give up! I learned years ago that there will always be an attack right before your miracle or answered prayer. The enemy does not want you to receive the Lord's blessing on your life so it does whatever it can to destroy you, distract you, put doubt in your mind and discourage you. "D" words....But hold on and pray through this and your miracle will be waiting for you. I rejoice when I begin to feel opposition because I know my answered prayers are near. I learned there will always be the rain before the rainbow. Just pray with fervor and stay focused on God and He will sustain you and keep you in His perfect peace during this trying time. Just be still, He is on the throne and will carry you through always. We have His promise of eternal life so we are warriors in the battle of the spirits of good and evil. Spiritual warfare is very real and should be taken very seriously. Prayer is crucial in your Christian walk. Doesn't always have to be fancy or eloquent or of long speech. I believe in simple, clear and precise prayer. Specific prayer is all God needs. Meditate on a bible verse. This is how faith moves and works. He heard your cries before they were ever spoken. He just wants you to trust Him, hide in Him and wait on Him. He has the rest all under control. Just wait and believe!

You are a victor not a victim. Do not let your current circumstances get you down or make you doubt your faith. The Lord is with you all the way and will never leave you. Just take one minute of each hour of each day. Be still in God. Meditate and believe in His promises. I know how hard it is to wait for something but His timing is perfect and He will reveal what is best for you in His perfect way. Just believe. Let all your trials make you better, not bitter. What is happening now to you and the way you react and behave may very well help someone in your future and it may help them come to know Christ. Out trials and tribulations very often are not even about us, but about our testimony. We will experience all of life's disappointments and failures but be persistent in your faith. Choose determination. Be determined in your prayers....no weapon formed against you will prosper. Know that the Lord God, your Father, is with you always. He will never let anything happen to you that He does not allow. This is all part of His plan for your life. So don't give up. Don't let go. Don't try to force the issue. Don't get ahead of God. Just be still and know that He is God....and He has got this! Have a blessed Thursday!

The Lord wants us to be patient. To allow Him to completely ripen our fruit before He calls us. Isn't that awesome? Doesn't that make so much sense? I watch Joyce Meyer daily and she was holding up a greener than green banana and used it as a display representing us as Christians. She taught me that we must be still and patient and walk each day in Christ while growing and learning. This practice ripens our fruit. The Lord does not call us to Him to use us until our banana ("fruit") is completely ripe. She used the demonstration that we are the fruit on the vine of the branches. What happens so often is people grow impatient with God or angry with God that they give up too early. This does not allow the fruit to ripen. Instead it will rot because it did not fully grow on the vine. I think of it as "spoiled fruit=spoiling God's plan for our lives". The Lord works at His own pace. I was praying for something specific in my marriage for years and years and I stayed strong and in faith knowing the Lord would not fail me and He did not. But it took years before He answered my prayer. I shutter when I think about all I would have missed had I given up during my waiting on God. He wants to bless us richly but we must wait on His timing and demonstrate our faith in Him. So enjoy the journey to wherever the Lord is taking you. Love Him and trust Him and allow Him to bear good and ripe fruit in you. Let Him prune us and shape us until He says we are ready. Amen?!

I want to give a shout out to my husband who is completing his EE classes tonight and graduating after 4 months of evangelizing training. Proud of you C! He shared with me a scripture this morning that really resonated with me. "Produce fruit in keeping with repentance." (Matthew 3:8) It really holds true today with the Christian that goes to church and may even serve in the church but their actions and conduct beyond there is a contradiction to their faith. Would someone know you were a believer of Christ on a Wednesday night at the super market after working all day and being irritable? Would someone see Him in you after being cut off in traffic by another car? It is easy to represent God when we are in church or right after service. It is when life enters in, we forget. Our actions and conduct are as important to God as everything else. I look at people's lives who are saved and their lives don't seem to change. I heard in class that upon receiving Christ as our Lord and Saviour, that our lives immediately begin to change. So then why do we not see fruit in some believer's lives? I believe there is something in their old life that has not been let go of. I believe they haven't changed perhaps their behaviorial ways along with their heart and mindset. Repentance is life everlasting. Taking in a whole new point of view....God's point of view. God asks us to turn. When we do this, our life will produce fruit. The bible makes it clear that God promises a certain outcome and if we don't do this wholeheartedly, alternate outcomes are promised. So self exam yourself today. It is good for us to do this. God will show you what He wants from us. To take us to the next level. But we must first look at our lives. Has it produced much fruit? Do our lives represent change since coming to Christ? Or are we still in the same situation/position as before? Ephesians chapter 4 clearly is God's instruction for us and our Christian living so I urge you to read it today and let it help you get back on your track so your life can bear much fruit. Amen!

"Fear not, for I am with you. " Psalm 41:10 The bible speaks often on defeating fear. Knowing the Father intimately takes away your fears because you know you can trust Him. Also to know and memorize scriptures on defeating fear and speaking them out loud produces fruit. Fear is an emotion that the enemy wants us to feel or think we all have. I believe we can surrender all fears to the Lord for deliverance...not some, all. I remember hearing in a bible study years ago with Pastor Paul and he said never to speak your fears out loud for satan will use them on you later. If you never verbalize them it is better for the enemy cannot read your mind. I must have heard that 15+ years ago and I never forgot. I cringe til this day when I hear people say out loud what they most fear......I want to scream, NO!!!!! and if I know them, I do tell them immediately what I so vividly remember learning. Keep those thoughts to yourself. For the only things that should be coming out of our mouth are praises of joy, praises of answered prayers and our love of the Lord. So the next time you find yourself in a situation that makes you scared or uneasy or down right, fearful, meditate on God's promise and you will find the Spirit of peace upon you. Have a blessed Monday!

Happy Sunday! I taught my 1st class with the 4 year olds and it was sooo fun. All my faves were there....Jazzy of course, my #1 girl, along with Aiden, Gary, Calleigh, Andrew, Cosette, Julianna, Rylie, and my super fly girl, Abby. So many more.... can I just tell you they are so well behaved and such great little kids growing up with the knowledge of Jesus and the understanding of God's love for them. Their scripture for the month is from John 15:12..."love others as I have loved you." Just love it!! As for me....I asked the Lord to take me to the next level of my walk...the next realm so to speak. I prayed that I would die to thy old self and become what He created me to be. To keep Him on the front of my brain 24/7. No break, no stopping. To give Him authority over my mind and to allow Him to help me with the struggles I have with myself. I am anxious to watch Him work in my life in this new way. He is ever present in my ever changing self and I love that. So great day already and I am now just asking for the Lord to bless the rest of our day. I pray that for all of you as well. Be blessed!!

It is funny I have a beautiful sign that I keep hanging outside that reads.................................... You Can Trust Me, Love God. It has hung fine outside for a year and I noticed a few days ago it was lying on the ground. The chain had broke and it was unable to hang. I brought it in and it has been standing up in the foyer facing the inside of the house. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have read that sign right when something was on my mind and even when I was unaware of my thoughts. God brought that sign in because I know He wanted me to be ministered by it. It was not something I even noticed if I was not right outside on my front porch so I thanked Him because that simple message has done so much for me since it has been in. That is why I always say how wonderful He is that even in the smallest of ways, He is right there for us. I am in the midst of watching Him work now in an area of my life and I just claim victory and thank Him for His work in the matter and it hasn't even been finalized yet but I know how He is working it all out for our good. I just thank Him and He wants us all to have hope. Keep the faith, trust Him, no matter what....won't you??

Enjoy where you are now on the way to where you are going. I always try to say to people to think positively. Be grateful, be happy, be thankful. No matter what!!! There are so many things we do not have that we should be grateful for. And yet so many people dwell on what they want that they don't have. Make sense? I remember when I was single and lonely and not sure whether or not I wanted to ever marry again, I searched God's word on the topic and under the life application were the words I have never forgotten. They were simple and direct.......EMBRACE WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW. IF YOU ARE MARRIED, EMBRACE BEING MARRIED AND DO NOT THINK ABOUT BEING SINGLE. IF YOU ARE SINGLE, EMBRACE YOUR SINGLENESS AND DO NOT THINK ABOUT BEING MARRIED. I never forgot those words and even today almost 15 years later, I apply them in all ways of my life. It keeps your life simple and peaceful. We could all get caught up in the if only's and what if's but you know what? Right now, they are not a part of our lives so we must get caught up in the how grateful am I. I am so blessed. Thank you Lord for this time of my life. Mt future is in your hands. So today embrace your current circumstances. Pray, believe and know that God is with you in all things and working everything out according to His time and will. So why worry and get angst? Just know He is in control, let Him have it and try not to worry. You can exercise you mind and your thoughts so try it. Trust me...more importantly trust Him and enjoy this day as your best day! Amen.

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, because they don't know what they are doing."
(Luke 23:34)
Has anyone betrayed you in your life? Has someone who should have been a friend turn out to be an enemy? Has your hurt turned to anger or bitterness? Be careful not to allow anyone to spoil your spiritual walk and spiritual life. Jesus says He understands for when He walked this earth, He was mocked, denied, wronged and even betrayed. And yet His words were not of anger, revenge or bitterness. Hi words were of compassion, forgiveness and kindness. Are you able to say those words in your situation or are you holding on to negative emotions? Let them go today and allow God to give you the power to forgive and let go of all your hurt, anger, and bitterness in your hearts. Your heart will be healed and your burden will be light. And you will be able to let go of the person and the situation and be able to move forward with your life with peace and God's grace. Amen!

Thank you Lord for this day. I give it to you and I ask that it is filled with peace and joy. I ask you Lord to forgive me of my sins and bless my family and I with good health and love. I pray for prosperity and favour on all our lives and I come to you humbly yet proudly. I love you Lord and I thank you for all you have done for me and all you will continue to do. My life is in your hands and I commit my life and ways to you. Whatever your will is for my life, I will accept and honor. Blessed be the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the Highest. I ask that you protect my family from all evil. That we are covered with the blood of the lamb and in your care. Let no man devour what you have brought together. I ask that no weapon formed against us prosper and that any thoughts that are not of God be removed. Let your tender mercies come my way as we delight in you. Bless my home and let all that enter it be comforted. May they leave differently than when they came. I love you Lord. I thank you Lord. And I ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.

It is better to stay home alone and be lonely than to go out and hang out with friends/companions that are not good for us. Part of making wise decisions for our life are the friends we choose or the people we choose to have in our lives. As Christians it is best for us to be around people whose lives are uplifting and encouraging and ones that provoke us to want to achieve excellence in our own. I don't think it is wise for me or anyone to fellowship with someone who doesn't believe as I do. Not to separate and hide but simply for my own Christian walk and growth. I don't judge anyone nor do I take an attitude of entitlement, I simply know that I want to be around people that uplift and teach me, not bring me down or tempt me. Iron strengthens iron. It gets tiring to always be in a debate with someone about the Lord. I like being in my home and/or in my pool, simply enjoying one's company with ease and comfort. To be able to be yourself is so empowering. To have that unspoken bond of faith is so awesome. I believe God calls us to reach out to all man to spread His word. This is true and very important to my husband and I. But I am speaking for me when I am home and not out in the world, what I find best for me. So I trust that the Lord will bring to my life good, honest and solid people who believe as I do and love God as I do. Amen?!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I also wanted to thank those that sent me birthday wishes. I received them all and I was touched so thank you! It was a blessed day spent just with my family and some good food. Who could ask for more. :-)
I wanted to share with you something I received in the mail entitled:
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD?
Stability: A relationship with God is like an anchor that keeps you grounded --no matter your circumstances.
Security: Knowing the Father intimately takes away your fears because you know you can trust His unfailing character and provision.
Serenity: Even in difficult times, you have peace because you have confidence that your situation is in His capable hands.
Sensitivity: You become more responsive to the work of the Holy Spirit and to the needs and emotions of other people.
Spiritual Understanding: You will begin to comprehend God's Word in a deeper way than ever before, and He will teach you to see your life from His perspective.

Happy birthday to me! I am so grateful my first birthday off since leaving work and being home is a Sunday. Of all the days of the week. For that alone is a fabulous birthday present. I am just grateful to my Lord for bringing me back and for allowing me to be in the place I most would want to be on my birthday...His house. Then a family dinner at my house with turkey and all the fixings. Life is good and I am so forever grateful to you Lord. There are no words. ;-)

It is okay to have negative emotions but they are not to have us. I learned that when we are in the midst of such negative emotions, we are to keep moving forward and we must pray ourselves through it. Being a Christian does not mean we are perfect and happy and smiling everyday of our lives. The life of a believer is not all puppies and sunshine, it is a journey.... a lifelong journey. This includes trials, tribulations, hurts, betrayals, stumbles, disappointments. These things are a guarantee and it is up to us how we choose to handle these situations. Such reactions will determine our character and walk in Christ. For the Lord sees our attitude, reaction and behavior to them. These times are what strengthens us and we are to keep moving through them, not dwell in them and remain in them. So if you are hurt by someone today or angry at someone today, forgive as God forgives you, let go of the hurt and keep moving forward and in all things, pray. God will see you through it and I promise you, you will be stronger for it. So enjoy all the blessings of the day. Love someone today, forgive someone today, pray for someone today and remember God loves you and wants the best for you....today and always. Be blessed!
Colossians 3: 12-17

If God asks you to do something, do you obey right away or do you think it through first? Many people rationalize and justify their decisions when it means not listening or obeying God. If you are living with someone other than your spouse, you are living in sin. There is no rationalizing about it. There are no justifications that God will say to you, "in your case, I understand and it is okay." NO!! God hates when we justify our sin. Our sin separates us from God. Many people justify living together with their boyfriend/girlfriend and will come up with all kinds of reasons...kids, money, lifestyle, affordability, etc....but if God asked you to walk out and move out on your own, would you do it? Would you trust God enough to know He would provide whatever it is you would need in order to live on your own? What excuse are you using today for not listening to God? Has God asked you to do something that you haven't done? Forgive someone, leave your high paying job for a lesser prestigious one, go into the ministry, join a missions group, give away your possessions, tithe double, invite your neighbor to church, witness to a stranger? I encourage you to listen to the Lord today, and obey. For it may change the course of your life forever.

The bible says to "guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you-guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us." We are no longer controlled by our sinful nature but by the Spirit of God that dwells within us. As it says in Romans, chapter 8, verse 9 ... "and if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ." Upon the receiving of the Lord in to our hearts, the Holy Spirit dwells within us. I like to think of it as our barometer, temperature gauge. It helps guide us and navigate us through this life on earth. I rely heavily on this and you know when you get that sick deep dark sinking feeling in your belly....that something is not of God. And you will also feel the "light as a feather" feeling, almost euphoria, when the goodness is present. Rely on the Spirit of God in your life. The bible speaks often about this gift from God, the Father and God, the Son. Jesus promised He would send the Holy Spirit to the apostles to help them spread the gospel of the Lord. The same applies today. So walk one with the Lord for the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in this world. Have a blessed Wednesday!

Trust God. The words that we most need to hear and be reminded of. It is essential. We too often go back and forth in our own minds and thoughts about our current circumstances and try to plan things out. We plan paying our bills, schedules, babysitters, dates, budgets...it goes on and on. I believe we need God's wisdom but I also personally believe that too many over plan. I speak to people who are 20 years old planning for their weddings that they assume they will have, births to children they assume they will have, retirement funds they assume they will earn, like it is all matter of fact. Nothing is guaranteed not promised. We plan for ourselves too much. Where does God fit in? When is God counseled? If everything is predestined and preplanned and handled by us, then why would we need God? HE should be the center of all things. You hear the saying, God laughs when we plan, but there is truth to it. If we do all things for ourselves than God is not being held first. I make a conscience decision everyday to keep God center, first in our lives' circumstances for He decides who, when, why and how. Please trust more on Him and less on yourselves today. It really does ease your burdens. And always remember.....The will of God will never lead you where the Grace of God cannot keep you.

Let the weak say "I am strong". Turn your mourning into dancing. It's impossible for man but possible with God. Amen! Start your week off with joy, love, and full pure gratitude. Fill your tree with fruit that bears goodness. Our thoughts make up our tree. Our trees will either produce good fruit or be bare. Our positive thoughts are so necessary to enhance our faith and our outlook on life. Our faith in God is crucial and essential for our walk. Choose to look to the good in all things, all situations, all people. And find that inter most peace that only God can give you and live your life through it. He wants more than the outward appearance of fruit, he wants us to be Christ like .... To display His fruits of the spirit....love, peace and joy. It will do your heart good. Have a blessed Monday!

I really just want to try to be the best I can be. Best daughter to my Lord. Best wife, best sister, best aunt, best friend...just to be there for others. Love others as God loves me. Simple concept. I no longer desire to be a leader, be in the forefront, be the controller. I instead just rather be in the back drop worshipping my Lord. I call upon Him to do great and mighty things in my life, my family's life, my church, the world...I am just embracing it all. Glories, riches, peaks and valleys. I can accept things now for my life is no longer ran by me. It is the Lord's. He is involved in every activity of my life ... my very thoughts are His. It is a humble, peaceful state to be in and I pray it for all of you. Just embrace Him, His ways, His truth, His light, for there is no greater gift on earth we could ever need or want. Thank you Lord for loving us as you do. I lift up all of us today as we start our days. I lift up my Pastor today as He brings your word to us and may you be the voice we hear. Thank you for a blessed day in Jesus name.

God keeps His promises. When nothing seems to be changing yet you feel like you are doing all the right things, then wait upon the Lord. He answers our prayers when the timing is perfect. He is never late, always right on time. So please hold the faith and know that He is with you. So many people are hurting and struggling with life situations and to all the Lord wants to say, "Be still and know that I am God". He is there with you ... He is there for you. As you walk through the valley of the unknown, you will find footprints of Jesus both in front of you and beside you. All He wants us to do during these times is to pray, trust, have faith in Him and believe.

Give God the glory...everyday! It is from my favorite song from my husband's father's album. He recorded it at home almost 18 years ago and it holds up today. I watch my husband evangelize through the music. He has an original cd that he copies on to new cd's and buys sleeves and includes the play list and he hands them out to strangers and friends alike. The pastors from all the churches he attends is in receipt of one, as are the people he meets in the park, supermarket, gas station. Jesus has no boundaries. He speaks of Jesus to everyone and it is funny how when someone is with us, they squirm, giggle, purely out of being uncomfortable. He has made me do it and the rejection is tough but you have to smile and just walk away. Our actions, behaviors and attitudes are as much as a testimony for Christ as our witnessing. God is not a part time friend, nor someone you reflect upon one day a week. He is not a person you think of at meal time either or worst yet, a holiday thought. He IS the solitary life, the Only One we should live our lives for and about. We are to live to share His life with others. So today I give a shout out to C's father, Jack, who plays exclusively for Jesus now but his music will forever live here on earth....and that is what I call a continual blessing. "Generational seeds of goodness."

God wants to wipe your tears today. Let Him! So many people are hurting and are sad and He wants you to rest in Him. His love for us surpasses knowledge and we cannot even ask nor imagine the things He is planning for us . I know it is hard to fathom that today. But God has a plan and He is bigger than our problem. But He will see you through this and He loves you and is watching over you. He wants you to know that no matter what is happening to you whether it is circumstantial or an emotional hurting, He is there for you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He wants you to trust Him today and to come to Him. "I surrender all" is one of the most beautiful lines Pastor Brent will sing and it gives us such hope and such freedom to know that we can trust someone completely without any reservations so do it today. Whatever it is you are holding on to...let go of it and give it to God. He wants to take it from you today. Won't you let Him?

I read this today....The only way to survive in a world of deception is by trusting the One who will never deceive us. We put too much trust in man. The Lord is the only that will never deceive us, leave us, hurt us or forsake us. Guard your hearts at all times. Pray before you enter every situation. Be loving in spirit but always ask the Lord for His wisdom to be upon you. I too often would be hurt by people for what they say because I expect them to be like me. If I am open and honest, than I expect you to be the same. And I know my bluntness has hurt others. But for me, I would be disappointed over and over when someone would react or act in a way that was confusing to me. So I have learned with family, friends, co-workers....that we all will fall short of each other's expectations at one time or another. But love, forgive, encourage and continue to pray for one another. If someone hurts you today, don't hold a grudge...forgive. Just because....the Lord forgives us over and over and expects us to be and do the same. Be more like Him today. Trust in Him first and foremost but love everyone as yourself. Forgive one another. It will do your heart good!
