The Lord is so full of hope. I was sad yesterday and He took me to His word in Isaiah, chapter 9, and it is so full of hope and encouragement. It reminded me that He doesn't promise to take me around all troubles but when troubles come, He does promise me He will be right there with me as I go through them. Such comfort. I really do encourage you to read His word. It is for us. It is how He speaks to us. He was the only one that could give me the assurance that made me feel better. For all of us who are blessed with not only a solid family and friends circle but a supportive spouse, we know that they can not always provide us with what we need. Our loved ones may be present but are not always sufficient. Only the Lord is. He is my Father and my Friend and is the only One who will never let any of us down. He is my solid rock on which I stand. And I urge you to read the book of Isaiah because for all the gloom or despair we may feel, He reminds us this too shall pass and I cannot think of a better gift than that. Thank you Lord!
