God blesses us so that we can bless others. It is a very important that we give back. The Lord does not want us concentrating on our needs and wants and being selfish with others. We are called to be selfless. We do this by serving others in loving obedience. Anyone can give when they have it. People give in excess all the time. The Lord is more impressed with someone that puts a one dollar bill in the tithe basket when it is all they have vs. the someone that writes a check for one hundred dollars when they have ten times that in their bank account. I am the leader of the tots in my church and we can have upwards of 25+ 4 year olds. I used to sit on the floor and just play with them and have a ball when I was just a helper. Did the kids enjoy it? For sure. Did I love it? Probably even more than the kids. But the Lord told me it wasn't about me, it was about the kids and what they needed from me was my guidance and leadership more than my Lego building skills. He called me to be the leader of them and the entire class and help the church with their shortage of leaders and challenge myself in a unknown field rather than play it safe. Our faith is about trusting God and doing whatever it is He asks us to do. Not the things that are convenient or easy. So when you want to grovel about something or complain when someone asks a favor of you, remember God brought that person or situation to you so you can bless someone and give back. You will be rewarded beyond what you could ever imagine. So smile and give back with a cheerful heart and be blessed.
