The Lord keeps showing me one of the greatest gifts I can enjoy while I wait for an answer is the time in waiting. The bible tells us that He works things out in His perfect timing and we are to wait upon the Lord. When I am waiting in the midst of something I can be assured that the stillness does not mean He isn't working on my behalf. It took me years to learn how to be patient because I was always the person that wanted what I wanted, when I wanted it. Sooo needless to say the Lord had to deal with that attitude and way of thinking. I now can see the time in waiting is a gift in and of itself. I am still knowing that He has everything under His control. I know that nothing will happen that He does not allow and I know that He will only give me what I can endure so I am good in all things. And I rest in all those promises and it brings me peace. Trusting in Him during these times is key to my life and my life happiness. I stopped trying to rush things along. I am no longer frustrated when things are not answered the way I wanted them to be or at all. I simply now wait upon Him and I trust Him that He is Lord and He will do what He says He will do. So don't be discouraged if you are waiting for something and it seems like an eternity or it "feels" like nothing will happen. The Lord is preparing you in this time. He is strengthening your Faith in this time. And He is testing you in this time. So be strong and of good encouragement. Stay focused and stay in the word and know that all will be revealed in His perfect timing.
