When is it okay to preach the gospel and when isn't it? Is it okay to evangelize in a public place or should we be politically correct and not? Why is Jesus so controversial that the very mention of His name makes people uncomfortable? If someone was handing out pamphlets for civil rights or gay rights, people would smile and accept it because it is "politically polite" to. When I watch the dynamics of evangelizing I witness many reactions. A woman asked me today, "is he allowed to do that here?" and I smiled and said, "that is my husband and he means no harm" and I watched her place down in an empty chair the contents of which he handed her. I was happy the way I handled the question and I knew the Spirit was upon me for I was not combative and it kept the situation calm. It made me then ponder the question what would I do in a situation like that where someone handed me something I didn't believe in. Would I be polite and take the contents or would I politely decline? Would I offer my beliefs to the person? Why is okay for all races and all sexes to say whatever it is they want to say but Christians are censored? Didn't we just celebrate our independence allowing us our freedom of speech? Did Christians do so much damage over the years that we no longer hold any credibility? Think about this...would the gospel have been advanced this far if believers only shared their faith at the most comfortable and perfect setting?
