Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. It is one of the more "known" bible verses and in fact we are teaching it to the 4 year old class this whole month. So if it is easy enough for a small child to understand then why do we as adults not get it? We are to place all of our trust in Him and not think about our circumstances nor look at them from secular eyes. That is why it is so important to stay away from nonspiritual advice. People are always so ready to give you their advice or opinion but it is up to you to recognize what is of God and what should be ignored. Are they believers themselves? Do they live their life holy? Is their life in order or in chaos? You wouldn't take health advice from an overweight person with a burger in their hand so why would you take advice from someone who knows nothing about the ways of the Lord? You wouldn't be able to relate to someone giving you financial advice when they themselves were giving most of what they have from their parents and not earned themselves. I can go on and on. Do not allow people to speak into YOUR life. My husband had many of his Christian brothers over yesterday and I was speaking with one of them who said his friends reject him now that he goes to church and they say unkind things to him. I told him that when most people speak, they are in fact speaking of themselves or relating your situation to themselves. Stop listening to unsolicited advice and get your nose in the Word. The Lord will instruct thee and guide thee on the way we should go. Period. So you stand in faith on Proverbs 3:5 and pray that trust into your life and seal it up and know that He will do all things for you when His time is ready. And let your life be a living testimony for all who are witnessing. Be blessed and have a great day in Him.
