Guard your heart. Pray for your loved ones. Always ask the Lord to protect them with His precious blood. My husband and I are forever praying for a spirit of protection over our home, marriage, family and loved ones. We pray for our enemies too because God loves everyone. We must lay down our swords of hate and resentment. It is a commandment to forgive as God forgave us. We forgive so that we may be right with God. Forgetting is a false denial of forgiving so allow Him to help you if you struggle with this. I have for sure. But as I mature in Christ I realize that by forgiving the very people that have hurt me the most, I am freeing myself. He has also taught me that forgiving someone does not mean I must continue a relationship with them. We are not expected to be some one's doormat or be some one's whipping post. He wants you to surround yourself with good solid Christians that will encourage you and uplift you in prayer. It is so vital for our walk to fellowship with others that believe as we do and to have hearts that are pure in spirit. This is all designed for spiritual growth so that we in turn can enter the world and help people find Jesus. We must be amongst the sinners and non believers in order to show them God's love. It is the very thing Jesus did when He walked this earth. He received His encouragement from His disciples but showed His love towards the sinner. He wants you to let go of the pain. Give to Him the names of the people that have hurt you and He will take the burden. Stop allowing your hurt to effect your purpose. Forgive the spouse who betrayed you, the friend who turned their back on you, the co worker who said wrongful things about you, the sibling who is unkind to you. He wants you to restart your life in Him. "Forgive, and you will be forgiven. " And begin today!

Luke 6:37
