To doubt in yourself is to doubt God. He created us in His image and we are exactly the way He wanted us. He does not make mistakes so if He calls you to a position that you feel you are not qualified for, trust in Him to give you the tools to succeed. When we lack confidence or trust in ourselves we are not believing in God. He has a plan for our lives and we must pray to stay in His will according to that plan and keep our hearts pure and stay obedient. Having done all, than we must trust the steps we are taking. I was called to do something in the church and I struggled for months with it, doubting myself, fighting it until I realized that the Lord called me to serve in this area. When He laid it on my heart that this was all for Him and it was what He wanted of me, I never doubted or fought it again. As a matter of fact, it has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done and it brings joy to my heart. I look back and think had I quit or given up, I would have missed out on this fabulous journey. So if you are feeling down or unsure of yourself in an area of your life, trust God. If your heart is right and your life is aligned with His will than trust Him to guide you even if the road taken is unfamiliar. He knows all and when we stop to truly see His work in us, we will never question again. If He is nudging at your heart to step up in work, or take on a role in your church or local community, or volunteer your time....just do it and leave the rest to Him.
