If you harbor any ill will towards someone or hate someone, you need to forgive and ask the Lord to remove such thoughts. The bible tells us that anyone that hates his brother is a murderer. 1 John 3:15 People really need to understand that through this one lesson, sins are not measured by severity or "seriousness". All sin is viewed the same in God's eyes and God hates all sin for sin is when man rejects God. So as I learn more and more that we must repent each and every day before our God and ask Him to forgive us of our sins, I encourage you as well. Sin separates us from our Almighty Father and there is nothing that I want in my life to come between my relationship with my Lord. People question how a loving God can be so mean. The bible tells us that God's holy nature cannot abide sin. So if you thought up until now your "small sin" was no big deal, you need to rethink that and ask the Lord to remove it from your life and repent before Him. And having done so, God tells us He will not condemn us but we must turn our life from sin and walk away. John 8:11 For those that take that to liberty and think that they will be blessed by simply living their life in sin then in repentance, I urge you to read God's wrath on sin: Romans 1: 18-32.
