Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Galations 6:8 This is where the saying came "a man reaps what he sows". The bible says God cannot be mocked. Therefore we are kidding ourselves to think we could ever fool God. He knows our hearts and our intentions. I love to help others when I can and I don't do it for recognition or "show" therefore I believe I am sowing good seeds. The bible says never grow weary in doing good for at its proper time we will reap the harvest if we don't give up. Galatians 6:9 I know sometimes you can feel hurt by someone you are trying to help when they appear not to care or appreciate you. It is hard not to get downtrodden when your efforts seem pointless but like God promises us, when we continue to do His work and not grow tired, we will reap and see our harvest. Sometimes we just have to take a back seat for a minute, catch our breaths and go back out there. God is so pleased when you help others in any capacity when it is with the right intent. Those are seeds sown to please the Spirit. When someone reaches out to another but it is really for their own "gain" or purpose then they have sown seeds to please their flesh and those will not grow. It is that direct and that simple. So keep sowing those seeds of love, compassion, encouragement for all and you will be blessed!
Galatians 6:1-10
