When life gets too hard to stand...kneel! Prayer is vital to our spiritual walk. It is our life line to God. Life with God is not a religion, it is a relationship therefore it must be nurtured and tended to. How close can one be with another if they only see them once a week or only talk to them maybe an hour weekly? Well that is the definition of your current relationship with God if you only spend time with Him once a week at church on Sunday morning. I shutter when I hear people say they need to make a conscious effort to pray more or they need to carve out time for their devotions . These are the same people that are on Facebook constantly posting what they are doing. The same people that are texting you three times an hour complaining they are stuck in commuter traffic. The Lord is our Father and our Friend and we need to treat Him as such. He is not just the One we go to when times are tough. Don't miss it. He wants to be a part of your life every day. He wants to bless your life with His peace and His joy. The kind of joy that comes with the peace in knowing Him. Life with God is effortless. Your life is chaotic and you are trying to figure out why. Bring God back in! One of the greatest gifts He gives us is His free will and yet we take it so liberal we end up on a road of destruction and then blame Him for our wrongs. Yet He loves us despite all this and is right there waiting to catch us when we fall. This is the love of a great Father. A righteous King. And He wants a more intimate relationship with you and me. That is immeasurable love! Love that cannot be described in words. If you are someone that knows God and loves Him but have failed lately in your new year's resolutions to make more time for your prayer life, may this be the day you throw down the sword of failure and throw out the guilt of shame and ask Him to forgive you and rededicate today as the first day of your new life with Him. He loves you. He wants you. The gate to the narrow road may be difficult but He is the only way to walk through this life. Matthew 7:14 Take His hand and walk with Him. Amen!
Psalm 95:6
