The Lord promises to work ALL things out for good, not some, ALL.  I was reminded of this very word in church yesterday and I have to say it is a very powerful and encouraging word.  The Lord is not selective with this promise.  We may not always see the "purpose" in everything that happens but I do try to learn from things.  When I find myself having a mini pity party, the Lord instantly reminds me of ALL He has done, and I say, "thank you Lord for all knowing" and that is all we should ever do.  Don't question Him, don't doubt Him and certainly don't defy Him.  As hard as it is sometimes to stay on the sidelines while His work is being done, we must.  It is very hard for me to stop and not try to control or solve a problem for myself.  I was paid my whole career to be a problem solver, to be efficient and to be independent and yet in my life with God, it is the opposite so for me? I struggle sometimes with it but I think I have come a long way.  I truly try to stop and pray and seek God before I make a decision, big or small. How about you?  For us control freaks, it is very hard to let go 100% and let God. When things are still, we tend to want to get in there and make things happen.  For others who are nervous by nature, they also struggle with the waiting period.  My God tells me that He will not let anything happen to me that He does not allow therefore I have to trust Him in ALL things.

"Dear Lord, Today I ask You to grant all of Your children Your enormous favor and wondrous peace so that we can be still in your promises today and bear good witness for you.  We love and trust you and ask that you forgive us of all of our sins.  We know that your Word is true and we will stand on it as we wait upon You.  It is in Jesus name, I pray."

How great thou are..how great thou are. What an honor and a privilege to call Him Abba Father. The Lord is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me in my life. He has restored me and made me anew. I feel like my life has substance, purpose and value. I feel like everyday spent in His presence and will is a good day. Things are going to happen to us whether we are prepared or not and they are going to occur whether we want them to or not. How we come through the storm is all determined by how we handle it...our attitude will decide. So choose to think of all He promises us. Choose to look at everything through the spiritual eye and not the natural. Stay in your spiritual realm of peace and joy so when the enemy comes, you are ready. The battle is already won. Vengeance is His Hebrews 10:30 so whatever war you are fighting or about to fight, lay down your sword and allow Him to fight for you. We are victors in Christ Jesus so stand tall and walk in His righteousness for by His stripes we are healed and by our confession that Jesus Christ is Lord, we are born again and saved from death. So rejoice and be glad and just see how truly blessed you are. He loves you with all His heart and He will not let you stumble, not one step. So be bold in Spirit and be led by the Spirit and once you do that, well you just guaranteed yourself a fabulous day in Him.

Do right and leave the consequences to God. It has been one of the sayings at my church for years but I somehow get it now. When we are obedient to the Lord, we unlock His power on our lives and we are blessed. Obedience means to obey the commandments, tithe our income, labor, stay in His will and do whatever it is He asks of us. When you live your life on your own, with no net of conscience, than expect disastrous results. Sure, your life may be great today but it will catch up to you one day. We are never guaranteed tomorrow so to live for the moment and live for the day are wonderful sentiments but only if you are saved. You must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you much confess with your heart and mouth that He died on the cross to carry the burden of our sin so you and I could be forgiven and therefore enter in to the Kingdom of heaven. The bible makes it crystal clear that no one can go to the Father but through His Son, Jesus. John 14:6 The bible is true and I must share what I know and it says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have but have everlasting life". John 3:16

You can say those words right where you are. Simply confess your sins to God and admit you believe he did something about it in the person of Jesus Christ and invite Jesus to come into your heart and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. He will and you will be born again and saved from eternal death. Amen! ~And all the angels rejoice in Heaven with your decision today. Luke 15:7
Do you know the truth about Hell?

It is described as a place of outer darkness, a place of torments, a place of sorrows, a place of everlasting destruction, a place where men are tormented with fire and brimstone, a place where fire is not quenched, a bottomless pit, a place of no rest, a lake of fire, a place of hopelessness and unsatisfied desires, suffering, and a place of memory.

Did You Know?

Here are some alarming stats that came out of a poll of "believers",  "Christians", and those that claim to be "born again":

45% believe gambling is acceptable.
49% believe pre marital sex is okay and living together is acceptable.
33% believe abortion is morally okay.
13% of people who have had abortions claim to be born again Christians.
53% visit porn sites.
30% of pastors have visited porn sites just in the last 30 days.
50% of "born again" people don't believe in hell or satan.
33% believe JESUS' sinned.
40% say they don't have the responsibility to share CHRIST or their faith.
25% don't believe in the Bible's authenticity or accuracy.
41% believe we all believe in the same GOD and it's just different expressions of the same belief.
54% of "born again" people don't believe in moral absolute.

1 out of 10 live by the Bible's standard of living; meaning they trust and believe in what and how the bible says to live and live by it.

61% of young Christians think they can earn their way to heaven.
63% of young Christians believe everyone worships the same GOD.
58% of young Christians believe all religion teaches the same truths and principles.

We are in big trouble! These are real numbers by people who think they are saved. I can attest to this for so many times when I speak to people who say they are saved yet disagree with the bible and what JESUS SAYS. How can you say you are saved and think all of these things? We have a serious problem in the church as you can see by these numbers. The enemy has blinded us. Let's face it, the church, since it's inception has had the same problems they do today. The church has been plagued with false teachings, false prophets, and false converts. What was John and Paul writing about? The same problems we struggle with today. This is why we need to learn how to witness effectively. We, being the church, need to go out in the fields and harvest for the LORD. This is the church's wake up call for the enemy is deceiving many into believing they are saved.

There are some folks who have made ungodly choices but seem to be doing fantastic in life. However, what you and I can not see is the pain they face on the inside. There are also many people who have a great deal- wealth, status, power-but who are utterly miserable. On the other hand, there are many people who have very little who are genuinely happy. Why? They have an intimate relationship with Almighty God.~Charles Stanley

Having the Lord in our life is the most important treasure of all. Having been one that has had it all in measure to success, wealth and possessions, I wasn't happy. My life was not in balance and I was compromising my faith to obtain and sustain my status. Therefore was it worth it? For me the answer was no and that was why Jesus told me, like He did to the rich man in Mark 10:17-31, to drop all of it to follow Him. I listened to that small still voice on July 5th, 2010 and laid down my sword of security, wealth, status and power to step out in faith in to a life He created for me. He was patient and loving and gave me the free will to live my life as I did however when it became clear to Him, that I was drifting too far, He said "not this child" and called me back and I listened and obeyed. If your life, like mine, on the outside is all glitz and glamour, but inside you are dying alittle more each day, it is because you either never gave your heart to the Lord and Savior of your life or you have and you drifted away from Him. either way, you are lost and you need to find your way back to Him. Be willing to give it all up for Him for He will return to you 100 fold of what you sacrificed in His name. Trust me, I am a living and breathing testimony to this. I walked away from it all because the Lord asked me to and He has provided for me every step of the way. Do not be afraid to walk out in faith. Do not envy or covet those around you that seem to "have it all". It is all an outward vision, but we fail to think of their inward truth. Do not look about your life and be jealous for another's. The Lord commands us against this behavior for we are to trust in Him for our lives and Him alone.

"Beloved, when you’re feeling afraid and anxious, choose to bring your thoughts back to what Christ has done for you at the cross. Instead of being “victim-minded”, choose to be victory-minded! Meditate on how the finished work of Christ at the cross means that Jesus has defeated the devil and removed every right he has to enforce death or any other evil in your life!"~Joseph Prince

I share this with all of you who are struggling with your current life's circumstances and are frustrated with not knowing your future. God is in control and I know you trust Him but it still gets hard sometimes. The Lord is moving in our lives every single second of every single day and this storm has meaning just like the hardships of the past. It is how we choose to handle our struggles that determines how our day will go. I choose to not dwell on what is going on and instead I cherish the gift of today and I stay grateful for what I have, not what I don't have. I have made many mistakes that I cannot change but I know God can right my wrongs and I know He will do what is best for me. If I am asking for His will to be done in my life, than I cannot get angry, fearful or upset when something happens..or nothing happens. Isn't this what we are prepared for? Yes! Isn't this when our faith matters the most? Yes! So just stay focused on the cross and stay in today. Don't allow yourself to go down the mental rabbit hole of coulda, woulda, shoulda...it does not do anything accept upset and get you down. So stay positive in knowing your faith will get you through this and this too shall pass in His perfect timing. Let go and let Him do this for you. You will be so glad you did. And lastly, do not lean on your own understanding by over analyzing it all, it will give you a headache....just trust Him!- Proverbs 3:5

You do not need to be a "perfect" person to be used by God. You just need to be available and have the right heart for Him. When I was first saved, I would sing one of my favorite songs, "if you can use anything Lord, you can use me...take my hands Lord and my feet, take my heart Lord and speak through me, if you can use anything Lord, you can use me. " Still the most beautiful words ever written for a song. But at the time what the heck did I know about being used and who was I to ask the Lord to use me but you know what? He did then and He has today because He knows my heart is purely right with His. And it is a wonderful thing when you are the vessel to which God uses to bless another, speak to another or help another. Don't ever think you are too broken to be used or your past sinful life is too shameful for Him.....can I tell you something....that is exactly who He will use. You and me...the ones that lived lives that were not always perfect and pure. People that have sinned and have made mistakes. When I used to share stories of my past with some of my staff they would tell me they were in shock for they could never see me that way. And that is exactly why I would share it for it then gave me the opening to preach to them about my Lord and Savior who saved a wretch like me and made me into a new being for Him. And their eyes would get big and they would get it. So be bold and ask our Almighty God to use you....and He will and it is a remarkable privilege. Don't let anyone speak in to your life and tell you that you are not good enough and don't let the enemy lie to you and make you think you are not perfect enough. Read the history of the bible and study the lives of Matthew and Paul, the closest men that God chose , etc...and you tell me. The Lord loves you and made you exactly the way you are. Allow Him to mold you and make you into the vessel that can be used for the purposes He has planned. I pray that His love shines upon you and that others will see Him through you. It is in Jesus' name that I pray. Amen.

Happy Birthday Carole! A dear friend who is now a precious angel!

Whatever plan God has for my life, I will honor it and accept it.  We as Christians are all blessed with the gift of His grace on our lives and the promise of eternal life but here on earth we are not all promised a cake walk.  I believe the Lord honors His children who bring their tithes and love offerings to His throne but I don't believe we are all going to be rich from it. The Lord blesses in many ways and bestows His favor in more ways than just financial. Have you ever given the thought to how healthy you have been? Your family? Your children? Health is something we all take for granted and yet it is one of God's greatest blessings on our life...to be blessed with a healthy life. When we sow good seeds, they plant and take root and they create a harvest of "good fruit". So when you minister to another, lead the lost to Him, feed the hungry, assist the poor, treat others as God treats you, you are sowing good solid seed and it will manifest in your life.  The plan for you may not be the same for your best friend, sibling or even neighbor. I never dreamed I would not be a mother because it was something I wanted from the time I was 25 years old yet I felt I would be led by God to allow it or not, naturally. I did not take a test or use medical intervention during  those times and I never bore a child. Some call me foolish, others say it is my own fault for never checking things out medically. I simply smile for I have total peace for I let God decide and having children was not part of His plan for my life. I honored it and I accepted it. He wants you to do the same. I try to tell young women all the time that although the Lord  created the institution of marriage, the bible does not say we will all fall in love and be married. Although He desires it for His children. We must accept the life He planned for us. Whatever He created us to be, it will be in His image for us therefore it cannot be wrong. Simply live in His will and obey His word and listen for His voice and your life will not frustrate you. God did not have us live on this earth to be miserable. So be joyful in all things, go with the flow of the Spirit and let go of the control. And when you have a day of sadness or fear, remember the promise He made to you in Jeremiah 29:11 and I know you will be rejuvenated and restored. So for now, enjoy this day. Walk through today with a grateful and repented heart and be glad for all things.

"Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be zealous for the fear of the Lord all day; for surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off." Proverbs 23: 17,18 (NKJV)

I pray this scripture speaks to your heart and reminds you that our God saves and He is alive and sits on the throne.  He is worthy to be praised and worth our trust.  Do not lose focus on the ultimate reward; which is eternal life with Him. This life here on earth is but a moment in time. Keep your eyes on the Lord and let Him bring you hope.  May you draw closer to Him during this difficult time and know with all your heart to trust in Him and not our own understanding for nothing makes sense to our natural eyes. When troubles come it is extremely difficult to be joyful and glad but it is during these times, that we must. For we have no option. Meditate on His word and keep your eyes on the cross. Rest in Him and may He reveal Himself to you. It is easy to sell out and fall into the traps of sin, greed, cheating and fulfilling our own fleshly desires to help us cope and survive this world. However we as believers must believe in something greater to which we cannot see and trust to see it through. When we allow the Holy Spirit to move in us, we will fulfill the image He created in us and our life will have value and purpose and He is worth every heartache and every ounce of suffering so stay the course and stay in His peace. Amen and amen.

It is at our weakest moment that we must push through with our faith. The valleys of life are used by God to strengthen our trust in Him therefore we move by His promise of mercy. When we grovel and panic, we are giving in to fear. Fear is the poison the enemy uses to keep you from fulfilling your value and purpose. But our Almighty God has the antidote and it is called faith! Got that from Ray Comfort and I think it is an awesome illustration as to how we must react to our trials and how we must move through them. An old friend told me we must "pray ourselves through" life's challenges and I encourage you to do the same. When you build your life on a solid foundation in Christ, there is nothing we can not handle with Him. But when our foundation is quick sand, expect to sink. But even in our lowest of moments, all we need to do is reach out our arm and He will grab hold. I pray for those that are hurting today and have no where to turn. I ask that the Lord send you an angel used by Him to comfort you and support you. I pray that you find a solid bible teaching church that is filled with brothers and sisters who you can share your burden. You are not in this alone, for He is always with you and He uses others as vessels to which to bless and communicate so listen for His voice and allow Him to guide you through. Nothing we face is of any surprise to Him so I pray that you find comfort in knowing that.

"So trust Him and be not afraid".- Isaiah 12:2

Saturday, April 21, 2012

Give thanks to the Lord our God for He is worthy to be praised.  God is so good isn't He?  His Word is true, His ways always lead us to a straight path and He is a loyal and honorable Father.  He carries us when we are weary, He catches us when we are about to fall and He stays ahead, next to and behind us as we walk each step of life.  I have a portrait in my living room of a slouched over man who clearly has a broken heart and looks as though he has given up all hope. His face reflects despair and it appears to be he is crying. And the most beautiful scene to just stare at is the image of our precious Lord behind Him holding Him up in His arms and not allowing his child to fall.  I also have the book that depicts each meaning of the picture into scriptural detail and the portrait/book are entitled, "Forgiven" and that is the essence of who He is and who we are in Him....we are forgiven and we are to forgive others. I encourage you to let go of any resentment, bitterness, anger or even hatred that you are harboring towards another for it is blocking your blessings from God.  More importantly your heart is not pleasing to Him and He looks at our hearts as our everything.  Anyone can make an outward gesture that appears to be charitable, noble, even spiritual but if the person's heart is black and it is not of genuine intent, the Lord will know.  Therefore the feelings you have inside even though they may be unknown to others, He knows.  And He is holding you accountable for them.  People are shocked when they study and learn the Lord's view on anger. James 1:20 says, "Man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires." The Lord desires our lives to portray Him and for His love to be seen through us.  We do not bear testimony of righteousness when we are acting in the natural.  We are to stay in the Spirit and stay in the super natural realm. It is not always easy but the more we all exercise this display of Him, the more natural it will become.  So today He wants us to simply love, forgive, be compassionate and have a heart for the lost.  But above all else, give thanks to Him in all things, for He is good and worthy to be praised.

It is in the darkest of times, I trust my Lord the most. For He will carry me through until the light again.  I rejoice in all things and love Him all of my days especially during the valleys. I ask Him to comfort me and protect me and shield me from the cruelties of life, the stresses of people, the demands of this world. We are to cling to His robe and know with all of our hearts, He has us in His hands and nothing that we are facing today or tomorrow are of any surprise to Him.  We must choose to honor our faith and stay in His will and allow Him to do His work in us.  If you are facing life's circumstances and feel there is no hope, put all your hope in Him for He is the light of your path.  He is the way and the truth and He will carry you along the way.  He never promised us an easy life, what He promised us was He would never leave us nor forsake us.  It is in our trials and in the pit when His face is the brightest and His presence is the strongest.  Apply the Word, live in His promise and stay in today.   And above all else, trust Him right where you are and rest in Him.  I pray with you today and I ask the Lord our God to bless you and keep you in His watchful care all of your days and may you feel His presence and rest in His peace. It is in His name I pray, Amen.

Thursday, April 19, 2012

The Lord speaks to us all the time. It is up to us to stop and listen. When we feel we are being abandoned by God or are not feeling close to God, I believe it is our own guilt of our sin making us feel separated. In order to experience God's peace in our life, we must make peace with God. He loves us and He forgives us. We know this and yet we continue to beat ourselves up thinking we are not worthy of God's grace. But He tells us by His stripes we are healed. He was beaten and crucified for our transgressions, so for anyone continuing to think they are not worth His dying for or worth His forgiveness, is being deceived by the enemy. The bible is true and when I read Isaiah 53:5 it states that "His punishment has brought us peace". Honor the cross! Honor Him! Take the attention off of you. All feelings of guilt, unworthiness, and condemnation are really our own acts of selfishness and idolatry. For we are placing our self before the Lord and what He did for us at Calvary. But our wondrous and loving Father knows our heart and knows our true intentions therefore He forgives us and we now need to forgive our self. You will not be able to move forward in the Spirit if you allow yourself to hold on to all that junk. Leave it at the altar and make this the first day of your new thinking and allow His mercy on your life. Live in His presence. Live in His peace! Live in His promise!

Fear not for the Lord God is with you. Too often we react to things that happen in our lives instead of practicing self control and waiting upon Him. How many times have you jumped the gun at something and made a rash decision that you ended up regretting later? I have many many times. But I am learning slowly and I am trying to not react when something bad happens or something that upsets me happens. I am training myself to be led by the Spirit of the Lord so that He goes before me and He is the One that is moving in it, not me. So that I know He is controlling the situation, not I. Many people struggle with not being able to recognize the difference between God moving or themselves actually doing their own thing. If you feel this way ask the Lord for discernment so that you will be able to know when it is His voice or your own. Pray in all situations, every day for every thing. Ask Him to go before you. Give Him your burden that has you worried. Whether you are struggling financially or you are unhappy at work or if you are having marital or relational problems, before you find yourself taking action, kneel and give it before God. I found that one of the most blessed assurances we have as Christians is that we can boldly go before the throne of God with every aspect of our lives. SO I encourage you to stop trying to do it for yourself or on your own. Let go and let God. He wants you to give it all to Him and let Him move in your life in every area. Won't you let Him?

Got God? He is all you will ever need to complete your life. There was that famous line from the Tom Cruise movie years back that had the ladies swooning but in truth when the Lord is in your life, you do not need a man or woman to complete you. When you are blessed enough to find someone to share your life with, that relationship will enhance your already fulfilled heart but no one needs to come in to fill your empty heart. Keep God first in your life and embrace where ever you are in life. If you are single, embrace being single and do not covet those that are married and the same goes for the married folks. That command is alittle more obvious but still very true, and that is to embrace being married and not covet those that are single. It is important to be grateful for whatever season your life is in. Embrace it, take a hold of it and count it all joy. The Lord will grant your heart's desires according to His will and it will be in His time. So instead of fretting about being alone or being down about it, enjoy your friends, enjoy your family and even enjoy your alone time. The Lord desires for us to live fulfilled and enriched lives that reflect His image and reflect His love for you. So be joyful in all circumstances and just remember He died on the cross for you so that you could have eternal life. If you trust Him in all ways then you need to be confident in Him to complete what He started in you and that includes whatever stage of life you are in. So have a blessed day in Him!

Life was never supposed to be smooth and easy but I gotta tell you it is a wonderful ride with Jesus. I am safe and secure and I have blessed assurance that surpasses all understanding for the things I do not know about. I have someone who I can turn to day or night with any burden I face. He is my confidant and I need not worry. He supplies all of my needs and leaves me instructions so that I can follow a path of spiritual success. All I must do is listen to His voice, follow His path and obey His commands. That is what I call a heaven on "earth". There is no greater thing for me than to know I am walking and living in His will, that I am evenly yoked with my husband and that my entire family is saved. To know we are all in the Book of Life is very comforting. I encourage you to lead those that are lost to Christ before it is too late, for we are never guaranteed tomorrow. To be able to share the promise of eternal life with someone that truly does not know is priceless and it is what gives you the peace and grace. Allow His face to shine upon you so that others will be drawn to His love through you. Ask the Lord to use you today as one of His vessels. And most importantly learn to count all things joy in your life and be grateful for all He has given. For a life with Him outweighs any other . Amen!

Sunday, April 15, 2012

Do not be afraid to be honest with God. I am all the time when I am alone with Him. I let Him know when I am scared, disappointed, mad and even upset with Him. I sow seed of righteousness and I dedicate my life to Him and I expect His reward and protection. That is how much I trust in Him and believe in His word. I do not make demands of my Father in Heaven but I let Him know when I am tired and weak and I need His moving presence. I have been known to ask Him to send me an angel when I have felt very weak in Spirit and He always does and I let the person know they were a vessel used by God. It is okay to be down. Just remember God is still on the throne and He is our sovereign God and nothing has changed from yesterday to today to forever if you believe in Him. Therefore we must know with all our hearts, souls and minds that no matter what we are facing, He is there. No matter how frightened I am of the future, His love for me will carry me through. For I know the path He leads me to is for me and for my best because He did not die on the cross so that I would live a life of dread and sorrow. He sacrificed Himself so that I could declare His truth to the world and be a part of the great commission. So today I choose Him. I choose joy. I choose to be hopeful. And I choose to live in His peace. How about you?

Thank you Lord for providing all of my needs. You promised you would give us our daily bread and I am at peace with that. I no longer struggle with what bill to pay and I do not worry about money for I know you are my accountant, counselor and financier and all is under your watchful eye. You are my provider and you are who I rely on. I don't worry what the bank statement says, I claim what your Word says. I give you my tithes and offerings and I ask that you honor them and protect my household with your precious blood. It is in your Mighty name I pray. Amen.

I want my family out there in CHRIST to believe and trust GOD for all their needs. HE will sustain you and HE will not let the righteous fall. We as believers need to meditate daily on GOD'S promises for us. The scriptures speak on how there are two unchangeable facts about GOD. One it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore we who have fled to HIM for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that is before us. This hope is a trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inter sanctuary. JESUS has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. What this is saying is that we can trust GOD and all HIS word that reveals all HIS promises for us from ..... our sins being forgiven by the blood of Christ, having eternal life, having made peace with GOD, having His favor, being blessed etc. GOD's promises bring hope like the promise He made with Abraham. "I will certainly bless you, and I will multiply your descendants beyond number". We receive all GOD's promises through faith. So just pray and believe to receive with expectancy all that you have prayed for.

I have learned that doing God's will sometimes means waiting patiently. The Lord wants us to love Him, serve others and tell others about Him while we wait. I know that waiting upon the Lord requires patience and I know He hears my cries and that His face is upon me. I do not worry. I still cry but I notice it is a quick little fest and then I am back in business. I think it is healthy to allow ourselves to feel the emotion and then be done before our heads begins to tell us things. We must be mindful of our thoughts and feelings for they will lie to us if we allow them to. Through experience I also have learned that I cannot receive my blessings unless I go through my trial of waiting. But the good news is He is alive and worthy of my praise and He is faithful. I trust Him with my life and I allow Him to guide me through. If I am asking Him for something and I am in my season of waiting then I have learned to wait upon Him but at the same time not dwell on what is yet to come. Instead I power through, I continue to rejoice in Him and share Him with others. I do not wallow in my sorrow for I am blessed beyond measure and I am forever grateful for all He has done in my life. I simply reflect back on all the things He has done for me and my life and it allows me that assurance to know if He can do all that, then He is still in control and His "will" will be done in my life. So rest in Him, trust Him, let go and let Him. Stop trying to control the situation and stop trying to steer the wheel. Let Jesus take the wheel and rest in the passenger's seat. I promise you, it is peaceful and it is marvelous ride.

God has a good plan for you and when you know who you are in Him nothing can dissuade you. Many children of God suffer from condemnation, which is self guilt. Others believe that their sin is so great that God can not forgive. They forget that Jesus paid our debt in full. He died on the cross so that we may live in Him and so that our lives could be victorious. He did not pay the ultimate sacrifice so that we can walk around with our head down, grumbling, complaining and acting like a victim instead of the victor! What we all need to understand is that Jesus' blood has the power to forgive all sin. That is why His Father sent him. And when we confess our sins to Him, all things become new. The enemy wants you to live in defeat and doubt and never receive any blessings the Lord has in store for you. He does not want you to know the plan God has for you. God wants us to be prosperous and live in joy and be a strong soldier for Him. He wants us to walk with our heads held high in blessed assurance that we can do anything in Him. So believe in Him today. Get your eyes off yourself and your weaknesses and your faults for we are all fallible and will never measure to perfection for only He is perfect. When we dwell on ourselves and the failures of our life, it means we are not trusting in the power of the blood of Christ that forgives all sin and we are actually putting ourselves above God. So today exercise your faith. Faith in the One that has conquered it all for you and me. Don't miss it and don't waste another day not living in the promise of God.

I am nothing without God. I am totally dependent on Him and that realization brings me to the place of complete humility where I know I cannot do anything without Him. And that brings me peace. Why anyone would want to run from God and live a life of chaos and sin saddens me. And yet I understand how it can happen. I remember years ago when I gave my heart to the Lord, my life had transformed into a blissful place until I allowed someone slowly in and before you knew it, I was living a total lie filled with broken commands and quiet shame. I watched how the sin in my life washed away all the favor I had, the peace I had and the joy I had. It was replaced with a life of bondage .... sleepless nights, nervous habits, drugs, sleeping aids, an inappropriate relationship and an extremely hostile work environment. My life choices separated me from God and what is so sad to look back on, is I knew better and in God's eyes, that is worse for I had knowledge and I knew the love of the Lord, I witnessed it and experienced the life of living in His will and I had no reason whatsoever to stray like I did. I allowed the enemy in and I allowed that negative entity to replace the anointing and power of God I had on my life. As hard as it is to even recall that time in my past, it has made me the God fearing woman I am today. It has made me so strong in my faith that I vowed I would never allow anyone or anything to ever come between my God and I. I am so blessed to say I rededicated my life and have been on the path of righteousness ever since. That is the God we serve. That is the Lord that can take any sinner like me and forgive to the point that all my past sins are washed away and the veil of sin is lifted. Nothing separates me from God now and He wants that for all His children. If you have backslidden like I did, whether it is as extreme as my story or not, sin is sin in His eyes and whatever degree of running and hiding you have experienced, you are allowing "it" to come between you and your Lord. I pray today is the day that He calls you back into His arms and that today is the day you listen and obey. He loves you and He misses you and He wants you to know He forgives you and that He will never leave you, simply go to Him and allow Him to wash your sins clean and be whole with Him once more.

Who do you place your trust in? Do you include God in that answer and if so, how much do you honestly trust Him with your life? I pose the question because so many people hear about God and even come to God through the salvation prayer yet they don't really know Him. They don't learn about Him nor do they really grow in Him. And it ends up being a decision that slowly fades into the past. When we truly ask the Lord to be our Savior and come into our hearts and dwell within us and guide all of our days, our hearts change and our lives follow suit. It is a natural desire that comes over you that makes you want to put down the things of sin and pick up the things of righteousness. When that happens a relationship "buds then blossoms" through consistent prayer and studying Him. Our faith becomes a part of our life and therefore we learn to trust in Him. My husband and I say it all the time we don't know what we would do without having Jesus Christ in our lives. He is our Father, Counselor, Friend and everything else in between. Our faith carries us through the pit and into the light each and every time. I speak of the kind of trust that of blind faith for we do not know what lies ahead nor can we see what is our future yet we know, we know, we know that whatever happens, He is in control and it is within His will. So if you have come to a place of doubt or a place of sluggish faith, let this be the day you choose to rededicate your life to the One who loves you more than anyone ever will of this earth or beyond. It is in Jesus name I pray this for you. Amen.

Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012

We celebrate victory in Christs resurrection over death. We live because He lives. Our lives represent his first fruits; always remember Christ said "that a kernel of wheat must be buried in the ground before it can produce a crop". He had to die for the forgiveness of sin therefore the only way to overcome death is to die first then rise again. Jesus has all authority over sin and death. He gets this command from His Father. And we as believers can share in the eternal hope that is in Christ Jesus the Lord.

Psalm 118:8 is the book, chapter and verse that falls exactly in to the middle of the bible. One of my fellow brothers showed this to me the other night and I truly believe it is a lesson from God that speaks volumes and one that He wants to penetrate in to our heart and soul.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8 NKJV

I wanted to share this because I know how many people are hurting right now and have been betrayed or disappointed by man. I pray that you meditate on this and allow the power of the Holy Spirit to move in you so that this will comfort and keep you. No one is ever going to be everything you want them to be. We all will fall short in one another's eyes. The longer we get to know someone, the more we will see and learn that person's quirks or ways. We all have quirks. The key is to not place ourselves above another as more righteous or more holy. We are not to place our trust in man as the end all say all. And we need to keep our relationships in perspective and not put so much faith in anyone other than our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the only person that will never let you down. He will be your most loyal and loving friend, parent and confidant and for me and my house, we will serve Him only. So on this gorgeous holiday weekend, love one another. Forgive others, forgive yourself. Look to the good in yourself and in fellow man. Keep your faith in the One who made the ultimate sacrifice for you so that you would live a life of substance and purpose. Man will come and go out of our lives, it is only He that will remain forever. Be blessed in Him.

Luke Chapter 23:
The Death of Jesus
44 It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, 45 for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”[a] When he had said this, he breathed his last.

Thank you Lord for dying for me so that I may live with you. By your stripes I am healed and I bow before you on this somber day to honor your crucifixion, the most wretched of deaths. I look upon the cross as a symbol of salvation by your divine grace and I love and worship you.

Never take a religious attitude with another. Believing that you deserve more than them because you are a Christian and they are not is wrongful thinking. Many people grow frustrated when they see people living in sin being "rewarded" financially and in their careers and family etc...while they are struggling with many hardships and yet living their life holy. Have you ever felt like that? I have. But I honestly can tell you I am never envy or jealous for everyone has their own story. But I do know that many sinners live what appears to be a fabulous "winning" lives but it all eventually catches up to them. I have watched married men repeatedly cheat on their spouses and I think no one ever finds out and eventually the situation would implode and their sins would be exposed. Sometimes seeds of sin manifests in the lives of their offspring. Look at the Kennedy family with all their tragedies, deaths and scandals. The same can be true for our good seed. We may never reap all that we have sowed in this lifetime for it too may manifest in the lives of our next of kin. Therefore we need to guard our hearts from becoming bitter. Do not grow angry at others or mad at the Father. The Lord will sometimes allow us to witness their good fortune to strengthen us and teach us to trust in Him. So today whatever you are facing, please know He is with you. Be gracious for others and their blessings. Don't resent, don't hate! Simply claim victory for your life. Just stay focused on Him and praise Him for all things. In Jesus name I pray.

Sometimes we are so busy looking at the closed door behind us, we fail to look ahead. If God closes a door, He will open a window. If He closes the window, He will light a new path. Never fret or worry when God is in control. It is very important to me and to my husband that we remain in God's will for our lives. We are diligent in our walk and in our faith. Trusting God moves Him. Our obedience unlocks God's power in our lives. Like a child that is rewarded for obeying their parent, this is the same way we should view our relationship with God. I trust Him and He loves me. I know He has my life in His hands and I wake up each day and I give the day to Him. I thank Him for His tender mercies and I try to stay in that mindset for the rest of the day. I try to maintain a grateful heart and a positive attitude for my behavior displays my character as a Christian woman and I know that. But it can be hard. I know many Christian sisters of mine that are struggling right now with their husbands out of work or others where their bills are mounting and they don't know how they are going to keep heating their home or gassing their car for work. These are rocky times for many many people and the economic slant is enough to fear us all. But God's economic plan is unlike what we read and hear about everyday. His slant for His children is making what appears to be impossible, possible. His miraculous work of multiplying something little into something huge is to be expected. I encourage you to keep your eyes on Him, but please please please remain in His will. Make it your number one priority...make Him your center of all and tithe into His storehouse so that you unleash His power. Break the chains of bondage on your family. Pray for prosperity over poverty and having done all, stand on His word. I trust Him. I pray for you. I stand with you. I love you and may His blessings bestow upon you.

We should have the right to say whatever we want to say when preaching the Word of God as every other organization has. It seems like we can not even mention the Lord in places of business, schools, etc...for it may offend someone yet we have to be mindful and respectful of everyone else. We observe days on the calendar that don't even effect us and we have to be politically correct when speaking of most people. Yet I am a God fearing woman of faith and my beliefs are viewed as freakish and obsessive. Any Christian is attacked in the media when they speak of what they believe and what the bible speaks of. We are teared down and made to feel like haters when we say we believe in pro life or heterosexual marriage. I am not here to offend anyone, I am simply speaking my mind and my beliefs. So as long as there is a commercial on my television that condones and promotes things I am against but must tolerate, so shall you. The Lord loves us, not our sin! The Lord calls us to be soldiers for Him and press on the good news and I will! Speak up for God! Speak up for your faith! Share His love, His joy and His sacrifice on the cross .. especially now during the most precious and holiest of weeks. Give back for the One who has given it all for you. And be blessed for I stand with you!

Monday, April 2, 2012

There's all those old sayings we have heard over the years.."you get what you give"..."no pain, no gain"...well the same can be said for our spiritual walk and maturity. Your relationship with God will either grow and blossom with consistent prayer and time spent with Him or it won't. We are to live for Him and center our universe around Him and when we do that, He moves in our lives. We must be proactive in our faith and education of Him. Neutral ground, closed mouths, playing things safe do not cut it with God. Do you stand up for God at work if someone is taking His name in vain or do you stay quiet out of fear? Do you tell your fellow brother or sister that their behavior is not pleasing to God and get involved or do you stay mum because it is not your business and you don't need trouble? Life with God is complicated, it is complex, it is not for the faint of heart and it is not easy. We are to be on a higher standard of most. We will face opposition most of our days for we do not belong in this world. It is a mentally and physically taxing life. But there is good news and there is hope. God loves you. God will sustain you. God will reward you. He did not sacrifice His only Son so that we would live a joyless and mindless existence. The cross symbolizes the profound love a Father has for His children, His offspring, His kin. We are His children and we are called to do His work here on Earth until we are called home to be with Him. We are not to remain in one place for too long. We are to be spreading His name and sharing His story with the world. We are to be the same in church as we are in work. There should be no one that does not know your belief in Jesus Christ. Meek, mild, shy and awkwardness are not justifiable excuses for standing on the side lines. The work is preaching the gospel of the Lord, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God. And we should be living examples and let our lives glorify God by leading people to Christ.

The Lord God is our strength and He provides all of our needs. We need to keep our eyes on God when life beats us up. When people you love and trust disappoint you, take heart, forgive and allow God to move you to a place of peace. It is all we can do. I told my husband life is so hard and I know my reward is eternal life with Him, but I need to get through this one first and I need His help each and every day. If you ever feel like life is too hard, give it to God. The strongest of faith does not mean we will not be tested and tried. What we have to do is exercise our faith like we would our body for the upcoming battles. How do you do that? Study the word and scriptures. Know how effective prayer is. Move the Spirit. Grow strong in mind and body. Recite scriptures that overcome the attacks. Prepare yourself so that when it happens, you are strong, you stand tall amongst the giants and you do not fall during the storm. The Lord loves you, He is there for you. Fear not!
