Life can be filled with distractions therefore it is vital to spend quiet time alone with our Lord. We should never be too busy for God. When we begin to slowly spend less time praying, reading the Word and/or worshiping our Lord, we slowly begin to compromise our faith. When our church attendance begins to be sporadic and our devotional time becomes more occasional, we are ushering in trouble. The enemy will use anyone or anything to distract us. We must guard our hearts and our souls and be very protective of our prayer life. Prayer is time spent with God. A relationship can not grow and prosper and bear fruit when there is no communication with one another. Have you ever tried to maintain a relationship with someone one sided? You call them and they never get back to you, your emails and texts go unanswered? What ends up happening? It eventually fades away, doesn't it? That is how we must view our time with God. The Lord is always trying to communicate with us and if we continue to push Him back in our lives, our relationship will fade away. There is no greater thing in life that to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He is our everything and our life can not grow in the Spirit in a healthy manner without watering our seeds of faith with Him. Therefore be mindful and stay accountable. Take a spiritual inventory test of yourself to see where you are with Him and right your wrongs before it becomes anything more. God loves us so much that He wants us all to Himself. He desires so much for us and has plans that we can not even comprehend or imagine so stay with Him and keep Him the center of your life. Remember God first, others second and yourself third, and all else will come together for a glorious life.
Lord, please forgive us for when life gets to be too much. When we overwhelm ourselves instead of just resting in You. Quiet our minds and speak to our spirit so that we can be still and know that you are our Sovereign God. We love you with all our hearts and we ask that you use us today to further your kingdom. May our day glorify and give honor only to You Father. It is in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
