It is vital that we rest in Him. When we rest, God works but when we work, God rests. The saying that God only helps those that help themselves is a distorted truth and has done more damage than good and in my opinion that is when the evil one is present. John 6:29 says "that the work of God is this... to believe in the One He sent". As children of God we are to bring our petitions to Him and then rest in knowing His will shall be done. Resting in Him is one of the true acts of faith and shows our trust in Him. Allow Him to do good work in you today. And be blessed in Him.
"Heavenly Father, I know you have begun a good work in me and I believe that you will bring it to full completion. I trust in your perfect work in me and I rest in you".
Psalm 46:10
