The Lord wants the best for our life but we have to cooperate. He will guide us, reveal Himself to us and show us the way but if we violate that, we will get into trouble. Changing course from God's guidance indicates we are doubting His promise. God will often times call us to do something extreme in order to get our attention. And He does it so that we will be totally dependent on Him and it will require our total trust. Whatever the circumstances are we cannot decide to re change the course because we don't like the direction He is showing us for the result will be disastrous. We must listen and obey no matter what. Often times people wonder how to stay on course without falling off the path of God. We do it by reading the Word of God daily and keeping our focus on Him and listening for His direction. When we read the Word it becomes our anchor and our divine compass. Once we are grounded in our studies, we must learn to combat our thoughts, actions and emotions with the Word. We then should pray everyday to allow God's Word to work through us, powered by the Holy Spirit, so it can be applied to our everyday life. This spiritual "plan" will change your life and The Lord will renew His promise to you as you live in His will. You will begin to walk in total obedience and your fears, anxieties and worriment will be gone and your life with be pure peace in knowing that God has got it all and whatever He decides it shall be. That is trust in God.
So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]. Isaiah 26: 4
