Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
For anyone suffering a loss of someone it is hard to go on. It feels as though time will never heal and the hurting seems too much to bear. But there is hope and joy in the Lord. There is a time for mourning and a time for dancing. The Lord is our strength and He will comfort us during our darkest days. But I also believe we must live in Him and live in victory for there is life on the cross, not death. We may experience the death of a loved one here on earth but we are promised to be reunited one day so as long as the person is a believer in Jesus Christ. So there will be days for grief and there will be days for joy. We are not to obsess nor suppress over it, but to pray through it and lean on God and then true healing can begin. So I offer you this one truth this Monday morning as you start your day....Jesus loves you and is there for you to wipe each and every tear so allow His Spirit to give you rest knowing that He is our eternal hope.
I dedicate this entry to my Dad who would have celebrated his 93rd birthday here on earth but instead is celebrating with our Lord and Savior and the love of his life, my Mom. Happy Birthday Dad!
