How do I live in victory each day? The joy of the Lord is my strength.(Nehemiah 8:10) His love for me is what I concentrate on and He gets me through my day. When I feel lonely, regretful, "blue", I simply turn to the cross and He reminds me that He died for me so that I would live in victory. He did not sacrifice His life for me so that I would sit on a couch and pity myself. He did not die so others would suffer in their own mental anguish of depression or anger. His children have been saved by His grace for us, His unmerited favor, and we are to live in joy and victory because of it. My husband taught me that even on those tough days when we are experiencing an attack from the enemy, to pray through it, for it can only last for so long for the Lord only gives the enemy a limited amount of time. Rejoice in the Lord for we know each day brings His tender new mercies and this episode "too shall pass". Our response will determine how quickly we pass through, so we must get on our knees and pray; we must get our head in the Word and study God's promises and we must seek His face. I promise you, your life will begin to transform into a more peaceful and joyful state if you acknowledge how much God loves you. There is nothing you can do to make Him love you more, and there is nothing you can do to make Him love you less. This truth will have you walking in victory everyday. Shout to the Lord!! Praise and worship the King!! He is your everlasting strength and He loves you and He loves me. And that is all we shall ever need. Enjoy your life each and every day and live it in love and grace and declare this year to be yours in favor and abundance.
Isaiah 61: 1-3
The Year of the Lord’s Favor
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
