We need to guard ourselves from our pride. It is too often that we take the focus off of the Lord and onto ourselves and that is dishonoring Him. I notice it when someone may bless another person and take the gratitude when in fact all glory and honor should go to God. For all blessings come from Him and you or I are simply a vessel He may use. I tell the story of how the Lord spoke to my heart one day and asked me how can He bless me if I do not allow Him to use anyone to do it and He told me to accept my blessings. So now whenever my husband and I are ever blessed we thank the person and say, "we will accept the blessing from God, thank you." We do it so that God always receives the glory and it also bears witness to the person giving so they too know they were used by God. So if you are fortunate enough to help others, give all the honor to the Lord for He has blessed you in order for you to bless another. It is never about you or me. So let's keep our eyes on our Lord and all He has done and will continue to do to those that love Him.
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
