John 16:33

33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Why do you blame God when something bad happens?  Why is He the cause of every tragedy?  Why is it we question God when we are suffering?  The truth is the Lord does allow things in our life for either tests, to gain our attention, to strengthen our faith, to use it for a later purpose for ministering to another.  None of us have all the answers to every bad thing that happens on earth. No parent should ever bury a child, murder is senseless etc...but the truth is there is evil in this world.  Tragedy is the result of sin. It exists; it is real. It is corrupt. When you take God out of your school, political office and everywhere in between, the world is not going to be blessed. Evil comes from man, not God. He created man, He did not create the sin. I cannot contain myself when I hear someone say, "Where was God during this tragedy?" for He is the cause. God allows things to occur, He also prevents things to occur. There will never be a concrete answer to every question of pain but I know how much He loves each and everyone of us.  From Genesis and the fall of man until today, suffering and pain are a natural part of the world in which we live. Where sin exists, its consequences are never far behind. Tragedies are a reality.  Nowhere does the Bible teach that Christians are exempt from the tribulations and natural disasters that come upon the world. Scripture does teach that the Christian can face not prevent tribulation, crisis, calamity, and personal suffering with a supernatural power that is not available to the person outside of Christ.  That is our God...a good God...a loving God...a just God.  When you struggle with this, meditate on Romans 8:28. And keep your eyes on God, not on things of this world. And my prayer for you is that the Spirit of the Lord comfort you during this difficult time. Be blessed.

“God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain; it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”-C.S. Lewis
