Guard your tongue and guard your heart. These two things go hand in hand and it is too often one or the other gets us into trouble. Whether we act on our emotions or feelings or we say something we regret later. But our Lord does not want us to live a life of regrets, that is the enemy's goal. The Lord wants us to learn to guard what we say before we say it. I know I have always said exactly what was on my mind but as I get older I am learning that is not always pleasing to God. My husband stays on me constantly, keeping me accountable, for my words. It is not meant to correct me, it is meant to help me and I know that. It is the same thing I try to do when someone speaks fears out loud or negative things about themselves out loud and I tell them they are simply giving the enemy tools to use against them later. With me, I like to analyze people and what they say and I know I have a gift of discernment so I am very aware of their hearts and intent. So I like to discuss my "findings" a lot but my husband will always say, "pray for them", for anything else is pure banter. So I am trying to understand this new way of being for me. As we all grow in Christ, we grow mature in Spirit. We learn that the Lord wants us to pray for His people, not just dissect their every movement. We are all fallible and we all will sin therefore we are not to judge anyone. Like we are taught to remove the plank out of our own eye before we want to remove the speck out of another's.  (Matthew 7:5) So lesson learned. So if you struggle like me with saying too much, or perhaps you find yourself on the judgmental side, ask the Lord to help you with it. I ask Him to change me everyday into the image He created me for. I ask that the Holy Spirit dwell within me and that I am in agreement with God's Word and His Spirit for my life. From the first mention where we see God's Spirit and His Word in agreement in Genesis 1:1-3, my prayer is that I hold that covenant true for me and for my life and home and that these words teach you too. Have a blessed day!

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. Psalm 34:13
