Speak Lord and I will listen and obey. I recently read something that made my heart sing and I wanted to share it with all of you. Did you know that when you obey the Lord and His word, that you need not chase down your blessings, that they will directly come to you? How inspiring and how amazing. I have been a believer for many years and will be celebrating this month my water baptism which took place 19 years ago and have studied, learned and grew as a woman of God but my latest growth and season has taught me the power of obedience. When I truly obeyed God's command that day to lay down my job and all its security that I placed all my dependence on to follow Him, I gave up my right to my own life. I had to trust in someone larger than myself and the good Lord never let me go. It is far too extensive and personal to ever share all of my story, but let's just say I know all about the loaves and fishes story. The Lord took full responsibility for my life, my relationships, my everything because I listened to His voice. People say that small sweet sound, but when I hear the voice of God in my heart, it is clear and it is loud! So if you have never truly given up yourself to God and listened and obeyed Him in all His ways, do it today. You have held on to your own self and life thinking your freedom will be taken away but the truth is, that is a lie for the true freedom comes with obedience. The Lord wants what is best for us in each and every situation of our life and who on earth could boast that other than our Almighty Father? We search our whole lives for that "special relationship" to love us unconditionally and the Lord has been knocking on our hearts all along. He is only One that can complete you, for anyone else is a life enhancer at best. Trust God today for your life, all of it, not just when a crisis arrives, or when fear sets in....trust God and let Him into your whole life...the good and the bad and He will transform you and your life in ways you can never imagine. And today celebrate your first day of the new month of the new year as a follower of God in every way. Happy Blessed New Year!
Romans 2:6-8 He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.
