Friday, February 1, 2013 Love Letter to my Husband

When the Lord brings someone into your life to love it is never easy. You now have to share everything with another person who has their own ways, opinions, thoughts. Compromise and communication are keys to a successful relationship. But I believe the secret is to marry your best friend, someone you would hang out with regardless of being romantic with them or not. Someone's company you truly enjoy. I truly like the person my husband is. He is extremely kind and thoughtful and romantic. Very old soul in a young man's body, opens doors for me, stands up when a woman enters and leaves a room, pulls out your chair...ladies don't settle for less than a gentleman. He has the cutest laugh and loves to talk and share. He is intelligent and has a love for all people. He has a peaceful spirit and a loyal heart for man. But you can take all of that and say, "Wow what a catch", but the truth is what I love most is His love for the Lord.  He is an honest and genuine God fearing man that lives his life to glorify and please the Lord.  He stands up for Christ in all situations and never compromises his faith. He is the most selfless person who treats everyone with love and respect. It hurts my heart when he is hurt or sad or feels rejected but we know "If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you"John 15:19.  I could never have imagined a stronger Godly partner to go through life with. I admire him, I respect him and I am so proud of the man he is. The Lord has transformed his life by delivering him from all afflictions and addictions. His whole posture is anew as he studies more and more. His thirst for the Word is insatiable and his enthusiasm to share with others is contagious. His ministry and our bible study has allowed him to shepherd and lead others into the truth. He gives all of himself to show others the ways to gain knowledge and wisdom from the Lord. When I was doing my devotions and came upon this Psalm, I could not help but think of my beloved. I declare that this be his year of abundance, favor and fulfilled heart's desires . I pray that he be rewarded in every way he deserves. I pray that is spiritual vision is always clear, that his path always be straight and that His love for me always will be .

Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
