Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
Jesus wants to be the master of your life. That is the number one key to a successful Godly life. He should be the center of your everything. If you are married, He needs to be in the center of your union. If you are single, your only desire should be an evenly yoked relationship. Anything you wish to purse in life, via career, relationship....should be sought in prayer first. You want all your moves to be God ideas, not man ideas. I pray about everything and I take my days one at a time. Let God lead you. I don't need to plan out my next week's calendar. The old self felt good when it was full of activities and plans but now I live for God and where and want He plans me to do. Listen to the Holy Spirit. If I want something and do not feel led by the Spirit, I don't do it. Be accountable to one another. It helps to have an accountability partner in Christ. A spouse, best friend, counselor...someone you trust and love and can get solid faith based advice from. Someone whose wisdom is aligned with God's Word. Minister and support one another. It is so important that we be there for our brothers and sisters in Christ. We need to stop being so self absorbed and caught up in our own problems or lives not to help another. Balance is key. We need time to rest to refuel ourselves, our souls so we can be filled with the Spirit to lead the charge for Christ. Financial wisdom is important to God. He wants us to be good stewards of our blessings. We must work, tithe, budget and give to the right place. But above all, we must love others as He loves us. We must forgive as He forgives. Be an image of God so that others will see His face through you. And lastly, be a fisherman for God. Preach the gospel to one another. Share Jesus with the sick, the poor, the lost, the lonely, whoever comes in your path. The best testimony to another is the way we live our life so let's lead by example and let's rejoice and give thanks in all things for God is good and worthy to be praised.
