Friday, March 8, 2013 "Comfort in Suffering"

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father
of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we
may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.  Corinthians 1:3-4

In seasons of adversity and pain, may you be overwhelmed by His presence and protection, and may the Lord's wisdom be yours in abundance. It is so hard to see the light in the midst of a tunnel, encased in darkness.  People suffer everyday from grief, loss, anger, addictions etc...and they find themselves in the "perfect storm" of pain and cannot imagine a way out.  But the Lord has a way out and He watches over those that love and obey Him and His children are in His hands.  I pray for all who are suffering and feel there is nothing left. May they find the truth that there is hope in Christ Jesus and that He will make a way when there seems to be no way.  May the Spirit of comfort surround them with peace and love. And for the loved ones watching their own go through this difficult time, the Lord will comfort you as well.  For you are the vessel to whom He chose to minister to His children so pray for refreshing of your spirit and renewal of your mind and He will provide the strength you need.  May His grace and mercy fill us all with unending peace and may we rest in the truth that He works all things together for good, always and forever.  Peace be yours this weekend.

I dedicate this blog post to my brother Kenneth. God loves you and so do I.
