2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. James 4:2
Pray for others. And pray often. I tell my husband all the time to pray for me because who else can I know for sure is actually praying for me? I lift him up every day as well, all my loved ones. It is important when we pray to thank the Lord for who He is and all He has already done. Repent from any sins you may be holding on to so you can go to Him with a pure heart. And then bring your petitions to him. James 4:3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. This tells us to ask within God's will. He knows if we are coming from a selfish mindset so always come with honesty. I tell God when I am mad, I tell God when I am upset, scared...very important to have an open and honest relationship with God and we can have that through our prayer life. I love when He says we have not because we asked not because it tells me we can go to Him with anything. Pray in faith. There is power in prayer.
Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
