"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace."- Numbers 6:24-26
One of my favorite scriptures. It is filled with such promise and hope. For the Lord loves us so much and with Him for us, who on earth could be against us? Romans 8:31 Life kicks you in the shins and although we may stumble, we will never fall for the Lord God is with us. Psalm 37:24 There is nothing this world could offer me to make me turn from Jesus. Everything here is temporal and designed for us to worship it and/or desire it. "Traps" to ensnare you. Therefore we must be so prepared in our walk, so well versed and so ready for battle. This world is changing more each day and you can see it right on the news; the talk shows; the conversations; the law changes. God is becoming less involved and more invisible. Now the atheists want the name of God removed off our money. Like the newsman said, "if you don't like what the money says, you don't have to accept any." Love it. But we live in the times of gay rights, same sex marriage, teen advocacy, sex prevention, abortion, black rights, women movement....where is God? Where is His movement? Where are His people's rights? We must stand up for Christ...in the workplace, in the home place, in the schools...let's pray for our nation today and let us come together and ask the Lord to forgive those causing such calamity for they do not know what they do. Luke 23:34 But we do know what to do and are made accountable in God's sight for all our actions or lack thereof. We do not have a free pass in this life time as a believer. We must be more vocal now than ever before. I read this Charles Stanley prayer this morning and found comfort so I pray you do too and may it strengthen your faith and burn your fire for God. Have a peaceful and victorious Sunday in Him.
The Blessing
Dear Friend, May the Father bless you with a growing assurance of His great love for you. May His grace and mercy fill you with unending peace. May your heart continually grow tender to the Spirit's leading, and may you rest in the truth that He works all things together for good. In seasons of adversity and pain, may you be overwhelmed by His presence and protection, and may the companions of health and wisdom be yours in abundance.
