Tuesday, March 26, 2013 "Hope"

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope". Romans 15:13

There is hope in Christ Jesus. He is with you always.  When we concentrate on what we don't have instead on what we do, we tend to get down.  A life changer for me was when I was taught how to embrace whatever stage of life I was in.  When I was single, I embraced it and did not long to be married and  now that I am married, I embrace in being a wife and do not long for the freedom singleness may bring me. I have learned to rejoice in all times for through my trials, I am being strengthened by His love.  My faith is growing deeper and my light is shining brighter. The Bible tells us to "rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer" (Romans 12:12) and to me they are powerful words of instruction from  my Lord.  I must be grateful always for I am child of God, I must learn to wait upon Him during the storm and be steadfast in my prayers. Having done so I have learned that endurance produces character, and character produces hope.(Romans 5:4)  So it is a full circle of hope. The bible never contradicts itself and look at how it completes itself just with the subject of hope.  Hope is everything to me.  I hope for what I do not see.  I hope for an abundant future filled with joy and love and laughter.  I hope for my loved ones and their lives.  Hope to me is Having One Person Eternally.  My Lord and Savior. My Portion and my Lot. My hope is in Him forever.  It is this time of year where you cannot help but me reminded of the cross and how by His stripes we are healed.(Isaiah 53:5)  He died for you and for me and took our shame on the cross so that we could live in His promises of love, joy, peace, and hope.  Psalm 31:24 tells us to "Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD" and that is what we need to do each and every day. And may these words transform your mind and heart so that you can receive the power of the Holy Spirit in your life today and have the hope He desires for you.
