The Lord loves us beyond what we can ever imagine and so often we try to earn his approval or love.  We think the more we do, the more He will love us.  But the truth is He already knows every hair on your head and He already knows you by name and loves you....it has nothing to do what you are doing. What He looks at is your heart.  Not your outward expressions of love, but the inward.  Anyone of us can attend church and usher and serve and feed the poor and bake a pie for the local ministry, it is all outward.  But how many are doing it with the right intent?  Is it for status, pride, motives?  The Lord knows.  He examines our hearts for our intent...is it true and pure or is there a motive?  Guard your heart against all fear, pride, anger, jealousy, envy, doubt, all negative emotion that is not of God.  And examine that your actions, thoughts and words are all to glorify God. Once you grasp His love for you, His gift of grace and mercy and the sacrifice He made for you, His peace will transcend upon you and it will bring you ever lasting joy.
