Monday, April 8, 2013 "How Busy are You?"

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

I hear so many people complaining they are so busy with life.  And while I don't doubt them for a second, it makes me wonder what area in their life is suffering because of it.  Some manage their time beautifully while others are overwhelmed with the slightest thing.  No matter how hectic life gets, we must ask the Lord to give us balance; ask for His counsel.  I call it "established order", meaning God first, spouse second, children third, career fourth, down time fifth and so on.  Sounds methodical but it really is a routine of sorts.  When we condition ourselves to maintain a right relationship with God by keeping Him not only first but center of our lives, the rest effortlessly falls into its place and no one loses.  In fact, when we give of our tithes and offerings and our time of service to another, the Lord blesses us in return. It sounds silly but I have been known to ask the Lord to move time like molasses for me whether it was a weekend or vacation and He would grant it.  My husband and I would "feel the time moving slowly".  Anything we ask of the Father, He will grant us if we are right with Him.  We cannot put work obligations before attending church or a study.  We cannot work 18 hours a day all the while saying it is for the sake of the family and then never spend anytime with them. Idolatry is the silent spiritual killer, it happens so slowly and subtly.  Be on guard for it in all areas of your walk.  This topic is near and dear to me because it happened to me and the Lord was not pleased and came to me and showed me areas that were coming before Him.  I was then asked to lay it all down.... all the things in my life that were giving me a false sense of security and I had to come to total dependency to the One who is my source of supply and all my provisions. Jesus gives you and me eternal security.  So I challenge you today to self examine your life and the areas that you may be off balance in.  The Lord will reveal to you and guide you if only you seek Him.  And for those that have never given their lives to Jesus, click here and listen to my husband explain it to you. Be blessed and have a wonderful Monday in Christ.  Click Here..Give your Heart to Jesus
