Saturday, April 20, 2013 "Faith Comes from Hearing the Message"

  "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ".
Romans 10:17

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. My husband tells me all the time that it is good to pray out loud.  He "preaches" out loud. We learn when we hear it, instead of just reading it. Interesting. People may think we are kooky but we are not here to please man, we are here to glorify and honor God.  The more we know, the more we are equipped and able for battle.  The battle is the spiritual warfare of good vs. evil, angels vs. demons.  As they say in the war of the principalities there is no "neutral zone", you are either fighting for God or against God. Our faith in Christ comes from trusting Him in spite of the fact that we cannot see Him.  Yet we believe.  So as children of God we are to be prepared and armed. We need to be well versed in scripture. I am learning and reading everyday to better myself so when I am faced with a question or objection, I am ready to handle it.  The Lord just loves when we worship Him and exemplify Him.  He blesses us beyond our comprehension for being righteous and faithful. Your life will transform and be complete. You will have a sense of unending peace because of His grace and mercy. And your heart will grow tender to the Spirit's leading.  So if you know something is missing in your walk and you want to know Him on a deeper level, then take the challenge of reading His Word each day. Read it out loud, take notes and then apply it to your daily life. And may you rest in His love knowing that He works everything together for good.

Numbers 6:24-26

New International Version (NIV)
24 “The Lord bless you
    and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
    and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’
