Friday, May 31, 2013 "He is Our Dwelling Place"

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.  Hebrews 6:10

There is no safer place than the palm of God's hand.  His peace is our shelter.  His arms are our shield that protect us from harm.  He is our dwelling place for all eternal. (Psalm 90:1)  He is my rock.  The sad reality is many will never come to know Him or come to accept Him. Like my husband and I say some will just "not get it".  Theology can be argued and found true and consistent yet the blind will still choose not to see. The deaf will choose not to hear.  We simply must allow our lives to be the living testimony so that they will come to know the truth through us. It is so important to a believer to live in the spirit at all times. We must watch our words, actions, our posture for the doubters are watching. We are accountable. We are called to do God's work.

Thursday, May 30, 2013 "Deliver Me Lord"

Bless me Lord, all my soul. Protect me from the evil one and the hate in this world. I am your child and I am blessed and highly favored. I thank you for loving me enough to save me from myself. Help me stay strong in You and grant me the boldness to share You with others. Lead me not into temptation. Keep me on the narrow path of righteousness  Allow no weapon formed against me to prosper and deliver me from all evil. I love you with all my heart and I thank you for my life. It is full and I live in abundance of joy because of You. You are my rock eternal and I love you, Lord.

Matthew 6:9-13

“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.[b]

Wednesday, May 29, 2013 "Victory is ours in Christ Jesus"

Fear tries to get us to give up, but faith takes us all the way through to victory!- Joyce Meyer

I know this statement to be true from my own personal experience. My husband and I were just reflecting yesterday and said only by the grace of God and our (Romans 6:14) faith in Him that kept us from giving up on our own miracle. The Lord would speak to me and to him throughout our waiting and say, "victory is yours" or "you are a victor, not a victim" and in  several other ways and He  always used the word, Victory. 1 Corinthians 15:57 tells us, "But thanks [be] to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ". The Lord's sacrifice on the cross tells us victory is ours. He took on all the sins of the world so that we would not have to therefore we are to live victorious lives throughout our time on earth. Our lives should reflect boldness, blessed assurance, and victory for we already know the ending to the story. We already know the battle has been fought, it has been established and we have won. Therefore our mindsets should reflect the posture and attitude of conquerors, not victims. Make sense? I know there are days when we just want to cry, I cried many of days waiting and wondering. But I would hold on to the hope that no matter what happened, if it  was God's will for my life, how could I go wrong. I knew His delays did not mean His denials. It is in our waiting that He is strengthening our faith. We must change our hearts, our attitudes, our minds. Allow His love, His victory at Calvary to penetrate our souls so that we can not only walk in victory but truly live in it and find the deep joy that comes with it. Worry and fear is not of God. Get rid of it and allow your faith to take you all the way to your victory!

"But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere". 2 Corinthians 2:14

Tuesday, May 28, 2013 "Ever Forward"

Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.
Proverbs 4:25

Don't look back because you are not going that way. Ever forward! The walk of a believer matures spiritually with each new step we take. No one will achieve or get to another "place" if they stop moving their feet forward. Same with our relationship with the Lord. We are to continue to grow in Him, therefore we must continue to move in the Spirit as we are led to. Yes, we must reflect back on all the Lord has done in our life, this is what makes us stronger in our life's trials but staring or dwelling on the past is not conducive to growing in the future. Therefore keep your eyes on the Lord, take each day as they come and truly embrace them and make the most of each day. If it is a work or school day, try to think of all the good things, is it pay day? Hump day? Early night out/early dismissal? Anything that keeps you focused and in the Spirit. It is vital to remain in the Spirit. This allows your walk to be easier and more supernatural than natural. This world is not for us therefore we are to expect continuous strife, confusion, worriment and chaos in it but it does not have to effect us. But when we as children of the most high, walk in His Spirit, we become more like Him and we therefore influence the world rather than allowing it to influence us. So stay strong and work on your faith. Work on your walk with Christ. It will transform you, it will strengthen you, it will be fulfill you. Nothing in this world, no one in this world, no place in this world is capable of completing you....only Jesus Christ our Lord can. Where are you looking today? Ever forward!

Monday, Memorial Day 2013, May 27

1 Do not boast about tomorrow,
for you do not know what a day may bring.
2 Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth;
an outsider, and not your own lips.
Proverbs 27:1-2

Let's live for each day. Take this life on earth one day at a time for no one is guaranteed tomorrow. Let us embrace where we are at this time for God has His plan for our life and it will all unfold in His perfect timing.

Let us be humble and not pretentious in our actions and in our words. Humility attracts and pretentiousness repels. There is power in the words of the Lord, let us listen and let us live by them. This is just a blip to what He calls us to do, say and be. But if we ask Him what we need to change in ourselves, He will reveal Himself to you. So instead of looking to your spouse, friend, sibling or neighbor to change, let's look within ourselves. And we can start right here. Amen?!

Sunday, May 26, 2013 'My Life is in His Hands"

My life is in His hands.  The world may crumble, every person around me may betray me but I still will have my Lord. Whether I am broke or rich,
thick or thin, healthy or sick, beautiful or homely, He loves me,
He cherishes me and He is with me. He is my Father, my best Friend,
my Counsel, my Everything and I adore Him. He is the Alpha. The Great I Am. The greatest gift I have ever received. And I exalt His name on high

The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.Who is like to the LORD our God, who dwells on high, Who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! …Psalm 113:4-6

Saturday, May 25, 2013 "The Lord wants us to Want Him"

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6.

Jesus wants us to willfully want Him.  He does not force Himself on anyone.  He is there waiting at our heart's door but it is up to us to open it and invite Him in.  And when we do, we are saved from ourselves and our doomed future. That is what it means to be "saved". We are "born again" because we die to thyself and become Christ like. The Holy Spirit comes into our hearts and dwells within us to guide us and navigate us through this life here on earth. He is our barometer; He is our counsel. I rely on the Lord for every single decision I make. Nothing is decided in our household until the Lord says so. He becomes the center of your being. The life line for survival. I am only sorry I did not make this decision for my life sooner than twenty years ago. I may not have always walked the tightest rope with Him in all those years, but I have never ever stopped believing in Him and His love for me and that is how strong His love is for all of us. He loves you, He knows you are going through things and He simply wants to be there for you. He is right beside you even when you do not think so. He loves us for we all are His children. And it is His desire for all of His children to live eternally in Heaven with Him. Hell was not designed for us, it was designed for Lucifer, the evil one. It is where he will dwell forever, with all sinners. But if someone does not repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, they are a sinner and hell is where they are headed. "And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Matthew 25:46 and Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord". So I urge you to make this life changing decision to secure your future. Can you truly say without any hesitation or reservation that if you died today, you are going to enter the kingdom of Heaven? And if so, on what grounds? So many are deceived when they answer, "well I am a good person" or "because I never murdered anyone and I give to the poor"....good works is not a sufficient enough entry, it is only through your mouth confessing Jesus is Lord.  So I simply want to leave you with this very clear and concise bible verse and I pray it will change your mind, your heart, your life and your future. Amen!!
Romans 10:9 tells us.... If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Friday, May 24, 2013 "Obey the Lord at All Costs"

"Then Peter said, Lo, we have left thee.  And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting".  Luke 18:28-30

As I read this scripture this morning, my mind flooded back to the journey I have been led on. It summarizes truly how I feel and all that matters to me and to my household is obeying God. Obeying God's word and His direction for your life does not mean when it is convenient for you. When all the ducks are in a row and it all falls perfectly into your lap. Could not be the furthest from it. The truth is the path of obedience we choose to take sometimes is an excruciating process. The narrowest of paths are the hardest to stay on but that is when the richest blessings of God in your life are best understood, not by what it cost you to follow Him, but by understanding all you have gained in obeying His call.  To go where He leads you means you have taken the higher ground.  To take up your cross means you have drawn closer to His heart.  To keep your hand to the plow means your eyes are set on greater riches. Seek His will for your life, not what you want for your life. It is only then you will truly be free and able to do as God commands. This is not about the time being right, it is about God's timing and His timing is always perfect. Has the Lord been asking you to do something you have yet to obey? I encourage you to listen and obey.

Thursday, May 23, 2013 "My Declaration"

with happiness, abundance, peace, and love.

Wednesday, May 22, 2013 " The Lord is Always With You"

Something supernatural happens to you and your situations when you believe that the Lord is always with you. The more you see Him in your situation, the more He manifests Himself. Whether it's an important business agreement you’re about to ink or a heated argument you’re having with your spouse, if you can see the Lord there with you, He will give you supernatural wisdom and favor to ensure that all things work for your good. His presence is always with you to direct you, guide you, lead you into becoming more like Christ, and to make you a success in your endeavors! Amen! - Joseph Prince

Tuesday, May 21, 2014 "Be a Living Testimony"

Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world. 1 Peter 2:12

Too often people hide their troubles from others. They don't share when things are at a low.  Pride? Fear? Shame? Being private? Probably all of those reasons and there is certainly nothing wrong with being discreet.  But I also believe as children of God we are to open up a part of ourselves and share for it gives glory and power to God. I can see that someone is successful and seems to be doing well, but I am more interested in their journey to how they got there. My husband and I have been through a hellish three years and although we remain quiet about the personal things, we are opening up about how good God has been to us. The promises He makes are true...He sustains His children through all trials and tribulations. Faith is the key that unlocks His power.  He can be trusted even when it seems as though He has forgotten about you, He never leaves, never abandons, He never forgets.  He has seen us through the most difficult thing in our life and we just want to shout from the roof top how awesome He is. Humility in our testimonies will always attract non believers to us. Pretentiousness repels and turns off others for they will judge us and say we think we are better than them and label us "righteous". So we must be mindful for our life is a living testimony. We must live and walk in victory for no one will want what we have if we walk around in defeat and misery. So let's share our testimonies, tear down the walls we have built up and let's declare Jesus Christ is Lord and He is the King of Kings and He is worthy to be praised. And let's do it with humility and love for we are all God's children and no one is better than anyone else in His eyes. Amen!

Monday, May 20, 2013 "It is Finished"

Love the Lord with all your heart.  Even when you are facing your toughest battle and it feels like you have nothing left to fight with, fight with prayer.  It is your greatest weapon and the Lord is your greatest shield. I pray almost every day, "let no weapon formed against me prosper" (Isaiah 54:17) for He is my refuge against all fiery darts. The closer you become to God, the more frequent the attacks from the enemy. When you are really feeling the enemy's resistance than rejoice in the Lord for you are making a difference and shaking up his dark grounds and he is not pleased. But that is when the Lord is most pleased.  And we are either serving the Lord or serving satan.  No middle ground in spiritual warfare. When we feel the weakest, the most tired or isolated, he will strike at you. Arm yourself and prepare for all battles. He wants you to give up and feel defeated and make you think your God has abandoned you but he is a liar and he comes to bring death to our lives. We must rebuke him and tell him where his place is and that is under our shoes. He is the dirt on our shoes. He must flee in the name of Jesus. The Lord loves you and protects you and will guide you to all truth so hold on, keep the faith and remember who won the battle. For the Lord said, "it is finished" (John 19:30) not in defeat but in victory. In victorious confidence, the Lord Jesus Christ is saying to us, "The work that my Father gave Me to do, the mission that He sent Me to accomplish, is finished. It is finished!" It is a shout of victory. It is a cry of obedience, God-centered obedience. And we obey, God responds. So you just keep doing what you are doing. And having done all, stand. Stand in truth, stand in victory, stand in wisdom and stand in power. Amen?!

Sunday, May 19, 2013 "The Lord is my Refuge"

If the Lord ordains it, He will sustain it.  I believe that with all my heart to be true.  If you ever doubt your ability to "handle" what the Lord gives you, just remember there is nothing He will ask of us that He will not equip us for. I remember right after buying a car, I was driving to work and I just got nervous about the payments and the Lord spoke so clearly, "I will sustain you" and He provided every single car payment for the next four years. He will not let the righteous fall. He protects us from all evil. Your enemies will fall all around you and you will remain standing. The favor of the Lord will be upon you. Have you ever been in a situation where something seems to effect everyone around you but not you? That is the veil of protection He places on you.  When we sin, our veil of protection is lifted. But when we obey Him, He rewards us.  Take nothing for granted for the Lord is behind it all. I don't care what the economy says, I am under God's economy and His authority for my life, not the life this world describes. He will hold you and me high up and when we cry, He will comfort us.  He will hear our prayers and answer us. The Lord will honor our faith and trust in Him. He is our fortress, He is our God.

If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation. Psalm 91: 9-16

Saturday, May 18. 2013 "I Trust God and God Alone"

"Change my heart oh God, make it ever new, change my heart of God, may I be like you."  I try everyday to be an image of God.  Say the right thing, do the right thing, act the right way and yet I fail, every day.  And there are always individuals waiting in the wings to tell me so.  It can be disheartening but I know my Lord loves me and He knows my heart and my true intent is love.  I may put my foot in my mouth or stumble in my walk, but I am a true woman of God that has a heart for His people and I know my motives are pure. Believers of Christ are often ridiculed and called names such as "holy rollers" or "hypocrites" and I find it offensive for we cannot say anything of any nature to people of color, either gender or descent yet the church and those people of faith are still open season. We never professed to be perfect, only Jesus Christ was perfect and without sin.  We strive to glorify Him through living a Godly life and living it morally. My goal is to honor God and obey His word. My Lord reminds me to serve Him only and not put my confidence in man but in every Word of Him. And it is in His name, I pray for the strength and fortitude to do just that each day I breathe.

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.-
Psalm 118:8

Friday, May 18, 2013 "Delight Yourself in the Lord"

Psalm 37:4-5

New International Version (NIV)
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:

Thursday, May 16, 2013 "Blessings for Obedience"

Examples of Blessings for Obedience

Exodus 16:26 “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, your healer.”

Deuteronomy 7:13 He will love you, bless you, and multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your wine and your oil, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock, in the land that he swore to your fathers to give you.

Jeremiah 7:5-7 “For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly execute justice one with another, if you do not oppress the sojourner, the father-less, or the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own harm, then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever…”

Zechariah 3:7-9 Thus says the LORD of hosts: If you will walk in my ways and keep my charge, then you shall rule my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you the right of access among those who are standing here. Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign: behold, I will bring my servant the Branch. For behold, on the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes, I will engrave its inscription, declares the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day…”

Wednesday, May 15, 2013 "Waiting Upon the Lord is Worth It"

Isaiah 40:31

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

When I can't, God can.  He is capable of anything.  I used to struggle with control issues and wanting to do things my way according to my time table. But I have spiritually learned that God's timing is perfect and even when it takes forever for something to be completed, when He does complete His work in me on a particular area, it is far greater than anything I could ever even imagined of.  Holding on to our past, our childhoods, our hurts, our betrayals, all kinds of emotional holds, can really stunt a believer's growth. As I learned in my weekly bible study, our bodies were not built for that. I pray to be free to be who God wants me to be. In all areas of my life. I know that nothing is impossible with Him. My faith moves the mountains and I simply must trust. That is all He wants from all of us. Isn't He simply amazing?  Cast all your cares on Him, He loves you and hears your cries and silent prayers.  He can do exceedingly, abundantly things in your life.  Don't give up. My husband and I waited three years for an answer to a very specific prayer and all glory and honor goes to Him because on the 2nd of this month He answered our prayer and we are now able to reflect back on His work and see how intricate and detailed it all came together. So I say this with love and I say this with fervor that our obedience unlocks God's super natural power and when we truly and fully surrender all of us to Him, He takes on full responsibility for our lives. Take that step today in faith. Be bold and be not afraid. Waiting upon Him is worth it!

Tuesday, May 14, 2013 "God is Love"

Do unto others as you would have done to you (Luke 6:31). There is power in that scripture. Just as we are taught, "we reap what we sow", I truly believe when we give of ourselves to another, blessings are bestowed upon us. And true hearted souls don't even do it for that reason, but the Lord loves when we love one another that He rewards it. His heart breaks when there is strife among families, relationships, churches. God is love. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." (Matthew 5:9).  We must put down our selfish mindsets, narcissistic ways, and self centered attitude. Let's get the focus off of ourselves and on to Jesus. Let's be the way He was. Let us love, not judge. Let us glorify Him in all we do and help one another, encourage one another, pray for one another and above all else, let's love one another. We cannot allow life to get so busy we lose sight of what really matters. Be the light in someone's dark world today and show them there is hope in Christ Jesus.

Monday, May 13, 2013 "There is No Luck in Christianity"

Why do Christians use the expression, "Good Luck"? There is no such thing as luck in Christianity, only Christ.  No magic, no self made destiny, no luck.  If luck had something to do with it, than why would we need God?  Do you really think that He would have allowed His only Son to come among man and be tortured, beaten and murdered to save us if we could do it on our own? Use an expression like, " I'll pray for you" or " best to you".  God's grace saves us and God's favor blesses us.  Our life is in His hands and His will shall be done.  Disobedience does not give man any authority over God, it just brings heartache.  Give God all the glory for this is the day He has made and we will be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Sunday, May 12, 2012 "The Wife of Noble Character"

Epilogue: The Wife of Noble Character ] "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her":
Proverbs 31:10, 27-28

Dedicated to my Mom, Bianca. Today is my first Mother's Day without my Mother and it is a day to reflect on who she was and how she raised me. I am thankful for her love and her support and for showing me how to be a good person and a woman of God. I know she is in Heaven with my Lord and Savior and I simply just miss her. A hard day for many. I give it to God for this is the day He made.

Saturday, May 11, 2013 "Have You Led Anyone to Jesus?"

"The most powerful way you can influence people is to lead them closer to Jesus." -
Dr. Charles Stanley

It is not a choice to share your faith.  It is expected and it is required.  Be bold in your evangelizing.  It can be with a stranger, or with someone you built a relationship with.  It can be through a blog, such as this, it can be through your victorious life in Christ.  Whatever you do, live to glorify Him.  This life is precious and it is fleeting and as the scripture so clearly states, the ones who do the will of God will live forever. Too many plan and concentrate on this life; marriage, babies, wealth, possessions yet they forget Who it is that gave them such gifts.  We need to balance a life of God first, self second.  The Lord will grant your heart's desires and blessings will be bestowed upon you, according to His will.  You will live a life of abundance and a life of joy.
He is so worth it.

The one who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:17

Friday, May 10, 2013 "Fear Not"

"Fear not" appears at least 365 times in the bible.  The most repeated command.  One reminder for every day. No coincidence there.  Fear is one of the enemy's greatest tricks.  Fear paralyzes a person to where they cannot act.  Faith trumps fear so we are to fear not, for we know the Lord is with us and has already won any battle we are about to face.  He will never leave us nor forsake us.  He wants this to resonate in our hearts and minds so we keep the peace in all situations.  Simply put.... fear is not of God.  Whatever circumstance you are facing and you are afraid, it is not of God.  God is perfect peace.  "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God". Philippians 4:6  The enemy does not know what to do when we are at peace.  Therefore walk in victory and give all things to God.  Give Him all praise. Exalt His mighty name on high.

When I am afraid,
I will trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise,
In God I trust; I will not be afraid.
What can mortal man do to me? Psalm 56:3-4

Thursday, May 9, 2013 "Do You Know Your Eternal Future?"

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord". Psalm 150:6

It is the desire of our Father to have all of His children around Him.  No one denying His love.  Many are called; few are chosen means that not all the people He calls to Him answer His call. Tragic!  Imagine you see people in a trapped building emerged in flames and there is only one way out and you know it and are reaching your hand out to the ones in the fire and they turn away from you and choose a dead end path.  That is exactly what is happening to the lost here on earth who deny Jesus is the Son of God. As a friend tells it, "if we as Christians die and find out we were wrong, we lose nothing but if the unbeliever dies and finds out he was wrong, they lose everything". Why would anyone take that chance? And as I tell my husband who street evangelizes, what is in it for him? He is already saved and is assured of his future so these strangers that he talks to that want to combat and argue the point with him are missing the whole point. My husband is trying to "save" their life, it has nothing to do with us.  So for those that believe, lift up your family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors and your enemies and pray for their salvation because the Lord will deny them like they first denied Him.  He is a loving and merciful God but He is a just God and we need to know that those that deny Christ will not enter the Kingdom of heaven.  So we must pray, share the truth and be bold and fear nothing.

"But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven". Matthew 10:33

Wednesday, May 8, 2013 "Be a Blessing To Someone"

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven". Matthew 5:16

Be a blessing to someone today.  Show God's love to someone through you.  The bible tells us the Lord wants us to take care of the poor, orphans and widows. (James 1:27 27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world"). And that is for starters.  Too often we judge one another's life decision or we look the other way.  It is time we pay attention and begin to help one another.  Pray, yes, but be active too.  Offer a ride, a meal or even financial aid if you can.  The Lord desires for us to love another as He loves us and to help one another.  I love to be a blessing to someone for it makes me feel good. I feel obedient and I feel so close to the Lord.  It is required, it is expected.

Lord, I ask that you open the hearts of Your children today and may they hear and see others' needs.  Give us the wisdom to know who needs a touch from You and use us to be the vessel for You.  And it is in His name we ask these things. Amen.

Sunday, May 5, 2013 "Jesus is THE answer, not AN answer"

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

Jesus is the answer, not an answer.  Nothing burns me up more than people that run to the Lord only when they need or want something. It breaks my heart. Here He is a perfect Friend and Father at all times, waiting for you to call and all you ever do is call Him when you want something. Would you like someone to do that to you?  No one likes to be "used" or taken advantage of and the Lord is no exception.  He loves us so much, yes, but He is also a fair and just God.  If we as believers are not spending enough time with Him and other "idols" are coming before your time with Him, then do you think He is going to reward your disobedience? I don't believe so. He is a merciful God and loves you so much and may answer a prayer to gain your attention but continuously? No. I was telling my husband that the Lord blesses us the way He does because of the way we obey Him.  It is our reward. The Lord spoke to my heart yesterday and said, "for those that trust me", meaning 'yes I blessed you but you trusted me and did your part'. The Lord will only come so close to us. He waits on us to seek Him.  Many are called, but few are chosen means few "answer His call". Are you one of them?  Do you run scared and run to Him when something bad happens? Or when you are in need of a miracle? Or need an answer to a temporary problem? Do you not see that He knows if He gives you all you ask without giving nothing in return that you will never then think you "need" Him therefore you will never "seek" Him.  It is all very logical and clear if you follow. We hold an open weekly bible study and I tell them this is the time to praise and worship the Lord, learn about Him and learn the Word.  It is not a support group. Yes, we love each other and pray for one another, absolutely, and we also will pray over someone that needs special prayers or a healing, but when the person comes one week and we never see them again, it makes you wonder. Some are seeking Him for an answer at that present time.  I am very protective over my Lord and it hurts my heart for Him but I also know those individuals, who use God as a temporary solution, also need my prayers.  For they just don't get it.  We should run to God in every situation and stay there. He is a relationship, not a religion.  He should be present in your life 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, not 1 hour, 1 day a week.  He wants to give you so much more but you tie His hands.  Stop, reevaluate and change what needs to be changed. Spend time with Him, learn about Him, trust Him in all things, not just some things and you will experience a life changing transformation.  Do it today for there is no time like the present, after all He is the greatest gift you will ever receive!

Saturday, May 4, 2013 "Trust Him Today"

Mark 10:29-31
29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

I truly believe when God closes a door to something in our life, it is for a bigger purpose. When He takes something from us or asks us to lay something down, I believe and I know it is to give us something greater. What we need to do as believers in Christ is to stop dwelling on the closed door or what we gave up. But instead keep our eyes on the One who provides it all for us and embrace the new door He has placed in front of us. One of the most precious scriptures the Lord laid on my heart was Mark 10:29-31.  When He asked me to walk away from my job and all my "security" to place all my trust in Him, I did. Without hesitation or reservation, I gave up many things and many relationships.  What the Lord has replaced in my life since that day, three years ago, has been nothing short of a miracle. He has blessed my husband and I with so many brothers and sisters in Christ to truly count as our family, financial blessings and security and our home. The things we had to give up were enslaving us but we were too blinded to see. And now we are free to the world and have more than ever before. Because we obeyed and listened to God and did not dwell on what we lost, but all that we gained, we were blessed.  He also fulfilled His promise He makes to us when we give of ourselves and honor Him with our tithes and offerings, that He will open up the windows of heaven and pour out so much blessing we will not be able to contain. (Malachi 3:10 says: 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and put Me to the proof now herewith,” saith the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open to you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it). In my business I sell things for others for a commission.  A person in need needed my services but could not afford to pay my commission so I decided to help her and sell what I could and give her 100% of the earnings. She didn't know how much I needed the monies as well but God did and He knew my heart. I sacrificed my needs for the sake of another and because of God's amazing favor, all her items sold and she was blessed. I never begrudged her nor longed after the "lost wages" but instead kept on moving.  Since then He has blessed me with two huge donations of items from two women that wanted nothing from me accept to bless me. When I tell you there is so much inventory that I barely have room in the house to even contain it all is an under statement. He again did exactly what His word said He would do.  Our God is faithful to those that seek Him, love Him and obey and honor His Word.  I share my testimonies to encourage you never to give up or be fearful of what He may ask of you. Believe me, I have been there and I know, I know, I know how scary it is but you can trust Him. He never left me, He always provided for my husband and I and our daily needs were always met. We were fed, clothed and provided shelter.  So what is it He is asking of you that you have yet to obey?  Are you ignoring Him, putting it off until the time is right?  The blessings He will bestow upon your house and loved ones is bountiful.  Trust Him today.  Listen to Him today.  Answer and obey Him today.

Friday, May 3, 2013 "All it Takes to See a Miracle are Eyes of Faith"

"For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37

All it takes to see a miracle are eyes of faith.  After three years of praying, waiting and never ceasing in our faith, the Lord answered our prayer and a miracle happened. God made a way for us when there seemed to be no way, when every obstacle seemed to be in our way and every statistic was against us but when God is for you, who can be against you? And when you truly give your heart and desires to the Lord and truly truly want whatever He wants for you, the doors of heaven are opened up and He hears your prayers and honors your obedience to Him and to His Word. So today I want to shout out my praise report never to give up and when everyone and everything tells you to stop fighting, fight harder! Don't ever give up til God say so. Amen and amen!
