Thursday, June 27, 2013 "Our God is Able"

Ephesians 3:20-21

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

There is nothing that God cannot do.  He is all sovereign and all powerful.  As I shared earlier this month how the Lord spoke so clearly to me one day and told me not to put limitations on Him, I was humbled at the thought. I was reminded at that very instant how I was trying to place the same limits on Him as I do myself. When in fact He can move mountains for me, He can heal for me, He can part seas for me, He can multiply anything for me.  What an almighty God we serve.  I just love the blessed assurance He gives me each and every day, the peace He has placed in my heart and the mercy He has given me for others. His grace has set me free in so many ways. I am beyond blessed and let me tell you, there is not a day, afternoon, or night that goes by that I am not thanking and praising His name. It is so important we come to our Lord with praise and thanksgiving for it can not be a relationship that is all one sided and built on drama. Do you have people in your life that you feel only call you when they need advice or in time of need? I want to celebrate with you, not just cry with you. And that is how the Lord feels about us. He wants to be a part of every aspect of our life, not just be the One we call on in times of trouble. Let's build a solid foundation with our Lord. Let's covet our relationship with Him more than we covet any other. He must come first in our lives before children, before spouses, before work, before money. Before all people, places, and things. And when we walk in His obedience and lean not on ourselves but only on Him, He will work in wondrous and miraculous ways. He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we could ever ask for or think of. What an awesome God!
