Tuesday, July 23, 2013 "Be Still in Him"

"Be Still and Know that I am God" Psalm 46:10

Being satisfied in Christ allows us to live with blessed assurance. Through that assurance comes spiritual boldness and security. When we are secure, we have no fear for we know the Lord is with us.  This truth along with His love and grace, brings on wisdom.  The wisdom to know that He is the living God, Jesus Messiah, and we can put our full trust in Him. This trust we have in Him then gives us the faith to be still in Him.  When we are still, we remain in His will.  He leads our way and lights our path.  We do not have to know where we are for we live by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) In a world where everyone is so busy, being still sounds like wasted time. Wasted opportunity. But the truth is being still in the Lord is the most productive thing a Christian could ever do for themselves. It allows the Lord to move in our lives and position us for His abundance of blessings. So I encourage you to stop planning your every hour of every day. Plans here, schedules there, stop it all and simply rest in the Spirit of God. And when you do, I promise He will come to you and you will reap a great harvest. All it takes is for you to be still.
