Saturday, August 31, 2013 "Patience"

Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. James 5: 7-8

Patience is definitely something every believer needs to have in order to have a long steadfast relationship with the Lord.  His timing is perfect and all of His own and we cannot rush it, nor interfere with it.  Often times people grow frustrated when waiting for an answered prayer or when they have been serving and are anxiously awaiting the fruit in their good work. We will bear good fruit in our walk with Jesus but it takes times. If you plant a root for an apple tree in your back yard, how quickly will the fruit be seen? Not that quickly for it takes time to root itself, be nurtured with good soil and watering and it all takes patience. I hear people grumble when they are not seeing any results to something. After watching my faithful Lord take three years to answer an "urgent" prayer of mine, I believe in patience. I never would have made it if I didn't. We are to know that God is in control and when we are serving our time, labor, monies, and effort into the Lord, we will always bear much fruit. But we must be aligned with His Word and HE must be the reason for it all. As a person who recently planted a home church, we would never still be moving ahead three months in if we were focusing on ourselves and desires. A home plant church takes time, love, patience and true hearts for God. It is not for the prideful or the one that desires instant gratification. The greatest form of evangelism is opening a home plant church and we believe in the power of God and His Word. We have watched lives transform by the hand of God so we believe in the cause and we love our humble beginnings for it pleases Him. So when we keep God centered in all we do, we will bear fruit. We will watch our prayers be answered, we will hear the voice of God and witness miracles before us..... All it takes is patience.
"And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary." Galatians 6:9

Friday, August 30, 2013 "Remembering God's Faithfulness"

"Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced" Psalm 105:5

Remembering God's faithfulness to us is an important part of our growing faith. Reflecting back on what God has already done, reminds us of what He will continue to do.  We experienced one of God's greatest miracle in our lives and my husband reminds me any time I worry about something. I tell myself if God did that, He can do anything. It is so important we thank Him and share with others what He has done. I am mostly a private person but I know I have to share certain aspects of my life in order to give the glory and honor to God. Keeping things to myself does not build the kingdom. I will often tell my friend to tell her husband and son so that they can see what God has done in my life so they know He is real. My leaving my job three years ago and all the security that came with it, to walk in obedience with the Lord was a bold public move that had many people watching closely because everyone predicted it was going to have disastrous results. But the God that we serve knew this already and used it as a platform for many non believers to show them He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings by revealing Himself. Anyone that watched my journey never ever expected my life to be where it is now. Three years later my life is filled with value and purpose. I am in the will of the Lord. I am doing what He created me to do. I have been called by Him to stand by my husband and dedicate my life to Him. My home, my work, my relationships are all God centered or they are not a part of me anymore. I am free from this world. I work solely for God and not man and all chains of bondage have been broken. It has been an amazing journey and I am so grateful to have weathered such a storm because my faith is deeply rooted now in rich and mighty soil. Praise God in the highest.

Thursday, August 29, 2013 "My Vow to ODPC"

"I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:1-6

As a person who has opened a newly planted home church with her husband,  I have vowed before God to seek the lost, strengthen the weak, and help the new Christian and backslidden child of God. I can do that for I was once all of those mentioned. I was lost but then I was found, I was weak but my faith has made me strong and my Lord came for me and back for me when I was led astray.  Our own challenges and trials are designed often by God so we in turn can use that pain to minister to someone else now going through the same thing. It  helps so much to tell someone, " I understand, I have been there."  I cannot say that to someone who has had children or suffered a loss of a spouse. But I can minister to someone who suffered the loss of a loved one or parent. I can minister to the youth on the challenges of being a teenager in this world. I know the attacks first hand that come upon us after a major blessing. I remember all the adversity I faced when I was first saved. The enemy comes at you hard to convince you he is the way of fun and freedom, not Christ. We must minister to one another with kindness and compassion. There is no room for judgement. We must love the sinner and hate the sin and be able to explain the difference. I am honored and privileged to be called to the ministry. It has been a heart's desire for many many years and I am now living my desire through the Lord's will for my life. I ask for your prayers for God hears our prayers and I ask that you lift up our church, "Our Dwelling Place Church"  as well as we work to further the Kingdom of God.

Wednesday, August 28, 2013 "Protect me Lord"

"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6

Lord, protect me from my enemies. Protect me from the evilness of this world. I ask that any weapon meant to harm me is disarmed. I will not be afraid to face each day with You in front of me. For You have promised that You will take full responsibility for my life if I will serve You, follow You, and live in Your perfect will for my life. I am not perfect, I am flawed and I am weak. I ask that You forgive me for my sins and that You grant me mercy and grace. Your Word in Romans 10:11 says that "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame" and I declare that for me, Lord. I love you and I trust You and I thank You for giving me Your peace and forgiveness. You are my Rock eternal.

Tuesday, August 27, 2013 "Jesus is THE Answer, not AN Answer"

"not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." Philippians 2:4

Are you a consumer or are you a giver? Do you only turn to Jesus and others when you are in need? I defend my Lord always by saying He is the answer, not an answer because I find so many "use" Him when they need or want something. They call upon His name when something tragic happens yet defile His name when things are going good. It is like someone only calling you when something bad happens. How about including us in the good times too? I want to celebrate your victories with you and share all of your life with you. My marriage, my friendships and my relationships are very important to me. I believe they require time, work, and attention otherwise they will not develop and deepen. Well our relationship with Christ is the same thing. He is our Friend and it is a relationship we have with Him. He is not a religion. He is not a Sunday morning thing, a statue or a man dead on a cross. He is our living God who lives inside each and every one of His disciples who have surrendered their hearts to Him. As I watch my husband pastor our new church I see how many call for counseling and come to the office to talk with him in dire need, and bless his heart he always makes time, but then they disappear. I get sad because I feel like God was just something they needed for that particular moment in time. Now if I am hurt can you imagine how God is feeling? He loves us and desires for all of His children to have a relationship with Him and live with Him for eternity. Our salvation saves us from hell, yes, but it can be so much more here on earth if we walked in it every day. Our life with Christ is more than just saying a sinner's prayer. Jesus wants us to go to Him for all things. The scriptures do not say, sometimes or only when it is serious...the Bible says in Philippians 4:6, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." It could not be any clearer. If you are honest with yourself and you feel like you are a consumer and are taking more than you are giving, then may this be the day you change. May this be the day you dedicate your whole life to Him, not just the crummy parts. May this be the day you let Him completely in. The best advice I ever gave to someone who was down about things, was to get the focus off of themselves and help another because it brings you peace. So I pray that this will be the day, you give back to another and start being a giver and not just a consumer. Amen and amen.

Monday, August 26, 2013 "I Thank You"

Gracious Heavenly Father, I just want to praise You and thank You
for all the things in my life that are good because You Father God are good. Jesus your word said that You came to give us an abundant life
that is full of your grace and mercy, your kindness and forgiveness.
I thank you for going to the cross for me Lord and I ask that You pour out
Your Holy Spirit as You baptize me with His anointing to do Your Kingdom work, to glorify Your name, to edify Your church and to advance Your
Kingdom here on earth. I thank You Lord for hearing my prayer because
I know you hear the prayers of your children and I thank You Lord for answering my prayers because I know You answer the prayers of your children. And I thank You for this wonderful day that You blessed me with
and I pray for a peaceful night. And it is in your mighty name I pray, Amen.

Sunday, August 25, 2013 " Be Armed and Ready"

37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. 39 Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39

When a soldier is in the middle of battle, they stay close contact with their Commander in Chief, don't they?  Well that is the same way we as Christians must view our position as we are in the middle of a spiritual warfare right now. There is a battle raging for our souls. Therefore our Lord and Savior is our Commander in Chief and we must stay very close to Him as we enter each day. We must be alert and aware of the principalities occupying this space. Angels are real and so are demons. Scary, yes, but true, yes!! If we rely on Jesus to lead us into battle, we win. But we must arm ourselves just like the soldiers do and our armor is the armor of God.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God,so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:10-18

It is a great prayer to start your day with. Be on guard and aware of what is around you. This is not the time to be in denial, we must be bold and assured God is in control and the battle is won. So get ready and suit up for we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37) and victory is ours in Christ Jesus.

Saturday, August 24, 2013 "Grateful Heart"

Psalm 138:1-2 "I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart…I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word."

It is so important to count our blessings and live with a grateful heart. How often do we grumble and complain and fixate our minds on the negative things of life instead of dwelling on all things lovely, as the bible instructs us to? (Phil. 4:8) The Lord has offered us so much just with His sacrificed life on the cross that we should live in joy but He gives so much  more. His free gift of grace, His peace that He gives us in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid", His favor, His protection, His guidance and His wisdom, just to name a few. I remember years back hearing about a prayer journal where each morning or night you write down five things you were grateful for that day and it really helped me and my friends change mindsets. We can easily think of what we don't have, but how often do we praise God for all we do have? So so important to praise Him, worship Him and acknowledge Him. There are times I just want to thank Him for all He has given me, that I don't even want to ask for anything. He has given me so much in my life, He has enriched my prayer life, He has changed my heart, and He has granted me my heart's desires. Let's all just worship Him today in thanksgiving and be so grateful for He has given to us and for all He has protected us from. We never think of all we do not experience because He does not allow it to happen for His Spirit of protection is upon our lives. Our God is an awesome God. Let's just celebrate Him today.

Thursday, August 22, 2013 "He Will Calm You in the Storm"

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7-8

There is no growth without change, no change without loss, and no loss without pain. The Lord allows trials in our lives to strengthen us and to exercise our faith in Him. We must trust Him only when the waves of the storm come. Do not panic, do not react, but instead be still in the knowing that He is our God and Father and nothing will harm us. When challenges come, I immediately rest in my assurance of obedience for I know the Lord is allowing it to happen to either teach me or bless me. But in all times I know He is going to protect me. I pray all the time to not allow any weapon formed against me to prosper and you should to. (Isaiah 54:17) I am sealed up and protected by the blood of the Lamb. I do not live in fear. When we completely surrender ourselves to Him, we gain a sense of freedom from this world and its efforts to harm us. We gain an assurance that nothing can hurt us. So do not be anxious when life throws you a curve ball, but instead, praise the Lord, rejoice in Him and pray, pray, pray. He is all you need.

Wednesday, August 21,2013 "Hope in Him Will Never Disappoint"

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5

Hope is stronger than faith. Although it is what fuels our faith, we need to have both. One should not be independent of the other. The Lord provides for us His blessed assurance that no matter what we are facing or how dim the situation may appear, He is our God of miracles and nothing is impossible for Him. Instead of thinking how big the problem is, think how much bigger our God is. And He can do all things. So don't you worry what others think if your choice is to stand in your beliefs and stay put in your faith. My husband and I faced one of life's greatest challenges together that lasted exactly three years, yes, 36 months. And the word faith was pressed on my heart all that time for I knew my God had everything under His control and He was our guide, not this world. So despite all the negative obstacles thrown at us to wear us down, our faith grew and our hope stayed strong and we never gave up and we bared witness to His greatest work that no one could deny was from the hand of Christ. For no one could do what He did in our lives and God can do that for you too. Just hold on to your faith and His Word that He will honor your obedience, your trust in Him and prove your hope was not in vain. Trust and believe and stand strong and all things will work together for His good. Hope will never disappoint!

Tuesday, August 20, 2013 "Breaking Bread is Sacred"

44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:44-47

When is letting go of someone the right thing to do?  I believe we must evaluate relationships in our lives often, especially those whose lives are dedicated to the Lord. For we must break bread with others who will uplift and pray with us, not criticize and tear down. Unevenly yoked relationships can cause strain on your walk if you are not diligent and careful. We must be extremely mindful of what we say and who we confide in. I used to be more open but have found as I mature spiritually I am more guarded with what I say and to whom. I also try to surround myself with solid fellow believers for they strengthen me. I don't judge someone by their faith, nor their sin, but I won't find much in common with someone who doesn't believe as I do. It is not a "I'm right and you are wrong" kind of thing, it is just more of a personal preference. My husband does not hang out with single men who drink and party. Nor do I socialize with other women who do not value their marriages as I do. I rather be with my husband and other people fellow shipping together with God in the center of our relationship. It is too easy to fall when you begin to hang with bad company. The bible talks about it and although we are not to judge the sinner, for we are all sinners, but we should never condone the sin and we are "warned" it may corrupt us.  I believe I am who my friends are so if my circle is an iffy one, than my own witness will be in question and I cannot take that chance. How on earth can I be hanging in a casino gambling and run into someone I have been sharing Christ with? I think that is why the Christian is often labeled a hypocrite. We must be aware of our actions and our words. There is no time off. My husband drilled this into my head and it is true. We will always be looked upon as an example. We are the righteous children of God and we represent Him and He deserves nothing but the best from us. So let's stand up for Christ.

Monday, August 19, 2013 "The Blessed Life"

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6

The blessed life that God has for those that seek Him and live to glorify His name will be a full one. As I read somewhere today our life will be "rich in mercy, generous in grace, mighty in power, clean in holiness, strong in purpose, and bountiful in blessing." Isn't that just amazing? A life filled with God's love. To live in His will and to obey His Word comes with such reward. Glory to be God.

Sunday, August 18, 2013 "We are Representatives for Christ"

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:5-9

Someone said to me once, "I wish I had what you had" and when I asked what they were referring to, they replied, "your peace".  That has always stuck with me because I realized then what a vast responsibility we have as believers of God.  We must represent Him in our everyday actions and in our everyday words.  People watch us as their witness for Him and too often Christians forget and their ways can cost someone deadly.  There are some people that may only get that one moment of time where they are told about God and it may be through you. Therefore you must pray each and every morning for the Lord to equip your mind and your mouth with the right words for He may use you in saving a life. Have you ever led someone to the Lord? Do you share your faith or are you shy about it?  I will tell you I sell items on Ebay and I tape on every package my blog address and someone recently purchased something and their tag name had the word atheist in it and I for a second hesitated and thought, "I don't want to turn them off and have them not want the item" but the Lord convicted me so fast to tape that blog front and center for as quickly as they may judge me as a Christian, I did not judge them as an atheist, therefore if they can be bold with their beliefs, so can I. It is very important we continue to be a soldier for God each and every day. No one gets to sit this one out. The Lord calls all to be His ambassador, not some. We may not all be called to be street evangelists but we are all called to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We must not fear rejection, like I did. What a wonderful privilege it is to be a representative of God. The Lord's commission to Joshua is the same for us today and what a blessing to be used by Him in leading someone to Him. So hold you peace, guard your tongue and live each day glorifying Him for we must always be ready, willing and able. And may today be the day you are used for His purpose.

Saturday, August 17, 2013 "Being Born Again"

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
“How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.  John 3:3-8

You have heard the words "born again" yet so many truly do not know what they mean when spoken of spiritually. Here Jesus so clearly explains when told to Nicodemus what it means to be born of the flesh and being born of the Spirit. The instant someone accepts Christ into their heart, they receive His gift of grace and His Spirit enters them to live inside their heart. We then die to our flesh and become reborn in the Spirit. Just as the scripture John 3:8 describes. The Bible is God's Word and our truth so we align our beliefs to His Word and not what the world says, nor what an unbeliever thinks. This chapter of John continues to explain we will spend eternity with God if we choose Jesus as our Lord and Savior and believe He died for us so that we could enter the Kingdom of Heaven with our Father. Being a good person, doing nice things for others, even loving others are pleasing to God but you cannot "earn" your way into heaven with good deeds and "works". These acts are the evidence of salvation but not the actual salvation Jesus speaks of in this scripture. Salvation is believing in Jesus and His finished work on the cross. So if you believe in Jesus and you believe He is the Son of God but have never confessed your sins to Him and accepted Him into your heart, you can do it right now. My husband explains so clearly in this 2 minute video what it means and prays with you in the end. When we say these words to our Lord, we become born again of the Spirit and our lives cross over from death to life. May this be the day your name is written in the Book of Life and may I also say God bless you and welcome to the family of God. Prayer of Salvation. CLICK HERE

Friday, August 16, 2013 "Do Not be Deceived by this World"

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20

I am saddened by the world's deception. So many are lost and believe the lies they are told. They defend laws the government try to put in place that are a direct contradiction to God's Word and call us evil for standing up for what is true. The bible makes it very clear that we are either serving the light or the dark and no one can serve both. People will question how do they know what is of God and I simply say, "read His Word and if the situation in question does not align with the Bible, then it is not of God." Pride, selfishness, independence, self help solutions are all distractions. How about less of the "self help" talk and more of the seek the" Lord's help" talk. We must be mindful of the wicked ways of the evil one for he comes to destroy all whom serve the Lord. Protect your home, the lives of your loved ones and protect your own heart and mind. Ask Him each and every day to fill you up with His spirit. Seal yourself up so you can withstand the garbage thrown at you. Be of sound mind and seek His Word only. It will never lie to you, it will never betray you nor will it ever disappoint you. Keep your eyes on God! And He will keep His eyes on you.

Thursday, August 15, 2013 "God's Favor is Like a Shield"

You have granted me life and favor, and Your care has preserved my spirit. Job 10:12
The bible talks about God's favor on our life and how we achieve it.  We must first repent of our sins and surrender ourselves to Christ. We must live a life of obedience according to His will and desire Him above all else. When we do this and live a righteous life, the Lord bestows His favor on us. For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12 We prosper, we live in peace and joy, we receive multitude of blessings and are protected by His Spirit. One way to achieve God's favor, financially, is through our tithes and love offerings to our local churches and global ministries. This pleases the Lord for we are trusting Him, not our self. When we show we are a good steward of the blessings He has given us, He will trust us with more. Much given, much required, (Luke 12:28) means if we do right by His Word with little, He will trust us with more. When we love and treat His children the way He does, we find favor with Him. Living for God only is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I firsthand have witnessed the power of His hands and the grace on my life when I chose to live to glorify Him and live with blessed assurance. He is an amazing Father who keeps His promises and does not disappoint. His love is all you will ever need. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight. Genesis 39:3–4

Tuesday, August 13, 2013 " Established Order "

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

Established order brings a clear mind and peaceful life. Balance is so important for a healthy and whole Christian walk. Proper balance of work, play, service and discipline. God must come first and He matters most. There is no such thing as too much God. I heard someone say the Lord told them to balance their life out, for it was too much ministry. I do believe that anything can become our idol if it overtakes our walk with Christ but too much church, too much service in church, too much bible study? I don't know how wanting to live for God and serve Him only can be a bad thing.  When God is first in our life, He gives us the discipline to work, the desire to want to spend time with our loved ones, and the time to rest in Him and refill our spirits. We reap what we will sow and when we sow obedience in the Lord, we can expect a harvest of established order and a strong consistent walk. So keep God in the center and all other things will come together.

Monday, August 12, 2013 " Our Circle "

"Bad company corrupts good character." 1 Corinthians 15:33

It is important for believers to surround themselves with other believers. Our circle should encompass those that share the same beliefs in our faith. We are called to be the salt of the world and although that is true, it is not in our best interest to involve ourselves with others that can influence or corrupt. The bible tells us not to be misled or "you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared." (Proverbs 22:25) It does not mean to hide for we are the light of the world and we are called to be bold. It simply means we all need to be fed to keep our walk strong and iron sharpens iron. (Proverbs 27:17) We need to surround ourselves with others that can pray, encourage, uplift and protect us. A married person has no business hanging out with someone that condones cheating on their spouses. We do not need to seek a friendship like that. It can corrupt our character. We want to represent the Lord in all we do. Give glory to Him and I do not think socializing in a bar at happy hour and preaching to the crowd about Jesus is going to get you very far. Do you see it? Let's be wise and mature as Christian men and women and let's make intelligent decisions. When we committed our lives to Jesus it no longer became about us, it was now about Him and our submission to Him. Relationships sometimes are for a season in your life, while others will grow and sustain throughout your entire life and those you want to cherish for you are blessed. We are to love all people, all sinners like ourselves, yes, but in order to change this world, we need to arm ourselves with Christian soldiers for we all share the same task, same vision....and we acknowledge the one and only true Son of God. Amen and amen.

Lord, You have been our dwelling place[a]
in all generations. Psalm 90:1

No better name to adorn our new home church. Lord, we worship and we adore You. You are worthy to be praised. It is an honor to live and work for You. May you continue to bless this church with Your Spirit, Your mercy and Your grace. And may you bless and protect my husband, to whom You called to be our shepherd, with Your wisdom and revelation as He seeks only You.

This post is dedicated to my husband on his birthday. Tonight we celebrate

Saturday, August 10, 2013 " God Has More Value than Wealth"

Tainted wealth has no lasting value,
but right living can save your life. Proverbs 10:2

Too much time and energy is placed on making money and not enough on the things that matter. God, family, friends, peace will take you further than cash. No one has ever seen a U Haul truck follow a hearse therefore what are we all trying to accumulate? I get sad when I see and hear people talk about this gadget and that purchase and yet they have no relationship with the One Who has blessed them with all they have. He is the forgotten One when He is the Only One who matters. It is hard not to preach or react but I am trying to share the Lord in love and truth and not in emotion. The Lord has value. The Lord saves. Let's start measuring our value to God's standards not the world's standards. Stop trying to keep up with the Jones and what they have in their drive way. What is it all for? Nice things are nice, yes, but not when the person places more importance on them then God Himself. His love will make you richer and living for Him in the end, is all that will matter. Won't you turn your heart over to Him?

Friday, August 9. 2013 "He Cares for You"

Give Your Heart to Jesus. CLICK THIS VIDEO.

1 Peter 5:7

casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

No matter who you are or what you have done, when you go to the throne and ask the Lord for His forgiveness, your sins are washed away. Only our unrepentant sin separates us from God. Therefore do not live in guilt and shame. There in no condemnation in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). That means we are not above God, Who has all authority. If He has forgiven us, then it is finished. Live in victory! Live in the righteousness of being a child of God. And in all you do give glory and honor to the One who freed you.

Thursday, August 8, 2013 "Trust in the Lord"

The Lord promises to keep us in perfect peace if we will keep our mind steadfast on Him and always trust Him. He is our Rock Eternal, Yahweh. He is our Provider, Protector, Counselor and Father. Won't you place your trust in Him today? He is all you will ever need. Proverbs 3:5 tells us to "trust in the Lord will all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." No matter what you face, He will get you through it. Nothing is impossible with God. So get out of your own way, get out of your mind and allow someone greater than yourself to take over. He is all you will ever need or desire. Trust Him today. It will be the most important decision you will ever make.

Wednesday, August 8, 2013 "Salvation"

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believesin him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Jesus never fails.  He is with you all the way.  When you submit your life and surrender your heart to Jesus Christ, He never leaves you nor forsakes you. You can live your life in peace and assurance knowing someone is on your side. Have you ever felt no one is there for you? Have you ever felt so alone it scared you? My friend, with Christ, that emptiness will go away for He will fill that void. That "something is missing" feeling so many have will disappear. That is why this life is filled with consumers. They consume food, alcohol, nicotine, drugs, some even sex to fill what is missing when all they have to do is open their heart to God. He is all we will ever need. My prayer today is for those reading these words and have never committed their life to Jesus that they...you...do it today, for we are not guaranteed tomorrow. My husband and I opened a small church in our home and we are called to seek and save the lost from eternal damnation. Click here to this video that clearly explains salvation and what it actually means.   What Does Salvation Mean?
And may today be the day you answer God's call. Salvation Prayer
And may God bless you.

Tuesday, August 6, 2013 "Submit to God"

Give Your Heart to Jesus Today: CLICK HERE!!

Sometimes there is no need to add a thing. Straight from God's Word. Submit yourself to Him and resist satan. And He shall see you through.

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to yourelders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for
God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”[b]
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because[c] your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.10 But may[d] the God of all grace, who called us[e] to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:5-11

Monday, August 5, 2013 " I Can Do All Things in Christ"

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

What an empowering message and promise.  With God's power surrounding us, there is nothing we can not do.  When His favor is on our life and we are living in His perfect will for our lives, we are strengthened by His love. In any difficult situation that we face, His strength can get us through. I remember thinking the most dreaded day of my life was going to be the death of my Mom and her funeral. I could never picture it, imagine it and I used to think I would just skip it. But when that day became my reality, I drew my strength from Him and He gave me the courage to face it. He gave me such peace and acceptance that I was actually able to enter her room and choose her last outfit. I was able to plan her funeral and write her a special prayer. It was probably one of the hardest days of my entire life and the sadness is still too great but by the grace of God I was able to do what I did. Whatever mountain you are facing, draw close to Him and He will draw close to you (James 4:8) and you will have the strength to do anything in Him.

Sunday, August 4, 2013 " We Must be Willing and Able"

Isaiah 1:19-20
If you are willing and obedient; you will eat the best from the land: but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword; for the mouth of the lord has spoken.

We must be willing participants when pursuing a relationship with Jesus. He does not push Himself on us nor does He force His will on us.  We must be willing to not only accept Him into our hearts but submit ourselves to Him completely. When we are willing to do this, we die to our flesh. And through His love and sanctification, our lives transform and our hearts begin to desire obedience. I have been a Christian woman for over twenty years but not until my latest spiritual chapter have I truly exercised complete obedience. Full throttle, no holds barred, 100% " chips all in". I chose to let go of myself and let God take over. Not an easy thing to do when someone is used to being independent and controlling. But I came to the end of myself in my walk and everything was a mess from my marriage, to my health, to my finances. I was no longer fulfilled at my career and the Lord continued to allow things to happen to get my attention. And He succeeded and when He asked me to lay it all down for Him, I did not hesitate. I trusted Him. I honestly was not prepared for how hard it was going to be, but the Lord spoke to me and told me to trust Him and I did and He got me through it. Three years later, I am eating from the best in the land. My obedience and faith in Him was rewarded. His word is true and what He promises is true...for those that will trust Him. It is not easy to surrender oneself to the unknown, to sacrifice all security, to risk not only your own life but your loved one's life as well. But I love God more and I wanted to show Him, that I, like Abraham, (Genesis, chapter 22) was willing to give it all up for Him. And my life since has transformed. I am free, happy and at peace. I am independent from the world, no longer relying on man, only God. I encourage you to get yourself straight and do right by God. How do you begin? You begin by giving your heart to the Lord. By confessing you are a sinner and acknowledge your sins separate you from Him. No one enters heaven but through the Son of God (John 14:6) therefore I urge you to offer yourself up today for no one is guaranteed life tomorrow. I promise you He offers nothing but the best for your life. All you have to do is trust Him.

Saturday, August 3, 2013 "Rest in His Peace"

Peace I leave you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

The Lord's peace offers us comfort in place of conflict. Jesus says He will give us that peace if we are willing to accept it from Him. The world brings fear, chaos, uncertainty, doubt, and distractions to us to try to remove our eyes off of Jesus. But if we stay steadfast in Him, guard our minds and allow His peace into our hearts, we will live a victorious life in Christ. So do not let this world and the people in it, frustrate you, hurt you or dissuade you. You a child of God and He calls you friend. You are sealed up with His protection so be the light and rest each day in His peace.

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. John 15:19

Friday, August 2, 2013 "Are You Sold out for Christ?"

Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 4:1-2

Are you sold out for Christ?  Or do you still have one foot in the world's door? The truth is we cannot serve both man and God. Everything must be done unto God and not for the approval of man.  It is hard to do when we were raised to want the approval of first our parents, then our teachers, then our employers and then our spouses.  And although we are to love one another, pray for one another, and respect one another, we are only to seek the approval of one person and that is the person of Jesus Christ. Everything we do and say should give glory to Him. All heart and mind must be for Him. Love God before all others. It will save you years of anguish and trial if you learn this early in your walk and not stray from His Word. We were created to worship Him but the world distracted us to believing we should be fans of sports, movie stars, other gods and statues. The simple truth is love God, worship Him only, rejoice in His presence, pray and spend personal time with Him and live to give Him glory. Be sold out for Christ for He is the way, the truth, and the life. (John 14:6)
