Sunday, October 20, 2013 "Let Jesus be Your Best Friend"

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

The Lord is the most loyal friend you will ever know.  Some are blessed to have life long friends who have been there through thick and thin and who are loyal and honest.  And then there are others who struggle with relationships and friendships.  May I encourage you if you are one who is lonely and feel as though there is no one that cares for you, there is someone who longs to be your friend.  So many hold God up to be this being that on should never be bothered with little things only catastrophic things and that is a lie. The Lord wants to be a part of your life...all of it, every second, minute, hour, every day. He is not someone who only is around on Sundays at 11 am for an hour. He is around 24 hours a day. He is our hotline, our 911.  He is who is with you, watching over you and wiping your tears.  He can fill the void you feel for you will never feel nor be alone with Him in your life. He will bring you peace and joy that "surpasses all understanding." (Proverbs 3:5) All you need to do is ask Him to forgive you of your sins, ask Him into your heart and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. When you do that you go from death to life and I promise you, your life will change.  He grants heart's desires in every way. He is not an ATM, a magic genie, Santa Claus...it is not giggles and rainbows for life is hard and He does not promise an easier way...what He promises is you will never have to experience life alone...so ask Him into your heart and you will gain the most loyal, loving, honest and truthful person into your life....He will be your Best Friend

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39
