1 John 1:6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.
Never compartmentalize the Lord. He is to be included in ALL of our life, not just the parts we choose. We cannot pick and choose what we will obey in His Word, what commandments "work" for our lifestyle, when we will seek His help. When it is laid out in those terms it almost sounds silly yet that is exactly how to describe many Christians ' walk with Jesus. None of us can judge another, that is left up to Him, but we can see when someone is compromising their faith in some areas of their life. It is a slippery slope of disobedience but even more sad is the person is missing out on the most fulfilling relationship they will ever have. To not want ALL of Him is depriving oneself of His mercy, grace, peace, and joy. He will always love but He grieves when we disobey and to not surrender fully to Him is a lack of faith, which is a lack of trust in Him. It is important to self examine our walk with Him and even ask Him to reveal to us the areas to which are lacking. I am here to tell you, He did it with me and it was an eye opener for everything began so subtly yet over time it became more severe. So save yourself from the heartache I went through and submit to His authority today. ALL the way, ALL in. It will be the most rewarding thing you ever do.
