Friday, December 20, 2013 "Prayer Works"

“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,

your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.[b]’ For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:9-15

There is power in prayer.  Whether you pray specifically or simply call out to God in two words; help me, He is there.  I have seen in my own life the importance of a steady prayer life for it is how we speak with God.  I cry out to Him everyday. I take everything to Him. From the simplest things to the most pressing for He is a part of my whole life. Never believe the lie that you should only go to Him with the real important matters. He wants you to bring it all to Him for He longs to be a part of you. I ask Him to bless my day, protect my home and family. I lift up those in need and some times I simply thank Him and rejoice in Him. I praise Him for all He has done and all He will continue to do in my life. Every relationship requires steady and consistent communication otherwise it will never grow and strengthen. Our relationship with Christ should be treated the same way. We need to be open, consistent and faithful in our walk and in our prayer life. So go to Him and make your petitions known. Prayer Works!
