Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
Let us become better not bitter when things happen to us. Whether it be a person that caused you pain or whether our own poor decisions caused harm, we must learn from all our of trials and take something positive from it. We can look to the negative in almost any circumstance but what does that do to glorify God? As ambassadors for Christ we are to show the world that we are victors not victims. That we believe in Him and that the battle is the Lord's therefore we are conquerors. Let us examine our hearts and make sure we are not harboring any resentment, anger, jealousy, envy, hatred or bitterness towards anything or anyone. None of these emotions are of God nor can they justified in anyway. Let us instead pray for anyone who has trespassed against us and let us ask the Lord for forgiveness for any part we ourselves have caused in the situation. It is the only way to remain holy and in His will. So let us remind ourselves that others are watching us closely to see how we react and handle sticky situations. Let us be an image of our Father. Good. Holy. Pure. Selfless.
