Saturday, January 4, 2014 "Ambassadors for Christ"

"People that meet you should meet Jesus". - Charles Stanley

People say they are Christians but do not represent Him in a glorifying light. It is like someone professing to be on a diet yet you witness them eating a whole pizza.  Our words must line up with our actions.  To be a child of God means a life lived different-a life set a part.  Nothing irks me more than when someone says a life lived their way is more fun because their God friends are stuffy and boring.  Or someone that has to point out a Christian's walk and tag it "hypocritical". They look for anything to discount His way.  That is why the Bible calls us "ambassadors for Christ" because we are to be living testimonies for Him. We are called to show others the light of Him and help them escape the darkness they know as sin. It is a very serious responsibility and none that should be taken lightly. We must be mindful of our words, our actions, our lifestyle, our circle, our ways. A life of conversion is a changed life. It happens spiritually. Do not allow someone to deny Christ because of something you have said or done. That would be a tragedy. Nor should you ever be discouraged if you lose a friend over your faith in Christ. He is worth it. You will never lose anything God has in store for you as you obey Him.  A life with Christ never comes up short. So walk the walk, talk the talk and trust Him in His ways, not this world's.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20
