Tuesday, April 29, 2014 "What if you are Wrong?"

People doubt that God is real because He cannot be seen. They say the unknown makes it impossible to prove. Therefore they will not believe. The biblical definition of faith "is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:1)The Bible tells us "But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven."(Matthew 10:33) I say this to the atheist and to the agnostic, If I am wrong and you are right that when we die nothing happens, then there is no consequence to my beliefs in the after life. But what if you are wrong and I am right?

Monday, April 28, 2014 "His Gift of Joy"

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13

The biblical meaning of joy is it is a state of mind and an orientation of the heart. It is a settled state of contentment, confidence and hope. It is something or someone that provides a source of happiness. It appears 88 times in the Old Testament in 22 books; 57 times in the New Testament in 18 books.

My relationship with the Lord brings me joy. He is my life and all else centers around Him. My blessings all come from Him therefore He is the source of my joy, not my husband, church or home. They are all gifts from my Father. We are to place all our hope, faith and trust in Christ Jesus, not in man. He is to be your life, not just a part of it. Do not let this world distract you from who it is that deserves all your praise and honor. Stay focused and love God more. When we obey His ways, we will live a life of abundance, peace, love and joy. His gift of joy....there is no greater than this.

Saturday, April 26, 2014 "The Choice is Yours"

I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins. John 8:24

I understand why people who are in love with their sins and their sinful lifestyles do not want to repent from their sins and receive Christ as their Savior and Lord. It makes perfect sense why people reject God's grace and forgiveness and want to live their life they way they see fit. But in the Bible it says we are all appointed to die once and face judgement. Now you are either going to have Jesus pay for your sins or you are going to pay for your own sins which is punishable by being cast into hell. The choice is yours. Choose wisely.

I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
Luke 13:3

Friday, April 25, 2014 "Fear Not"

"Fear not" is the most written statement in the Bible. Did you know that? Fear is not of God. When fear comes to you, handle it with your faith. Faith trumps fear every time for our Lord Father promised never to leave us nor forsake us therefore He is with us in each and every situation of our lives, including the things that make us worry and fearful. Instead of getting scared of what is to come or what appears to be unknown, exercise your faith and "fear not"

The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1

Thursday, April 24, 2014 "Proverbs 6:16-19"

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things the Lord hates,

seven that are detestable to him:

        a lying tongue,
        hands that shed innocent blood,

feet that are quick to rush into evil,

and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Wednesday, April 23, 2014 "Doers of the Word"

"But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. "
James 1:22

I refer to this truth often in my church. What is the point of attending church, reading God's Word, taking a Bible class or course if we do not apply what we hear, learn and read? I look at my studying as preparation. The battle is the Lord's, yes, but we are in the battle field everyday in this life. We must know how to pray, how to call upon the Lord in the time of need. We must exercise our faith in times of sorrow and trouble. To wallow, fear, crumble and worry ourselves sick is not using the power God has give each and every one of His children. How do you react when life throws you a curve ball? Do you remain still in His promises on your life or do you panic? We are all human and we all fall short so it is okay. We just want to really meditate on the fact that God loves us and what happens in our life is permissible by Him, meaning He is allowing it to occur. Knowing this should ease our minds for He is with us. I asked the Lord to take away my worriment and He did. He answered my prayer and I can now rest in Him, rest in my faith and trust in Him. He wants that for you as well. Place all your hope and trust in Him today. Nothing else. No one else. As you rest in Him, He will bring you peace.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

Tuesday, April 22, 2014 "Daughter of God"

Peaceful. Loving. Joyful. Content. Victorious. Happy. Safe. Still. Calm. Favored. Obedient. Trusting. Faithful. Special. Chosen

These are just some of the ways the Lord's love for me has made me feel. I am a daughter of God. I am loved. I am one of His own.

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

Monday, April 21, 2014 "He is my Shield"

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in HimPsalm 18:30

I have learned as I mature in my Christian walk that it is important to ask the Lord to shield me. I ask the Lord to seal me, seal up my home, my church, my loved ones and friends. I ask Him to cover me with His blood for I know it is the blood of the Lamb. This blood was shed for me so that I could live. I am in a blood covenant with my Father in heaven therefore I know I can call upon Him. He is my refuge. He is my fortress. He is my shield.

Sunday, April 20, 2014 Easter Sunday "He is Risen"

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Matthew 28:5-6

What a day of hope. What a day of new beginnings. What a day of mercy and grace. There is nothing impossible with the Lord and when we  keep our eyes on the cross, we are reminded. He is alive. He is risen and He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
Happy Resurrection Day!

Saturday, April 19, 2014 "Thank you Lord"

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

I thank you Lord for your timing is always perfect. Never too early and never too late. I stand in awe of your work and how you work everything out for my good. You are perfect in every way and I live to honor and worship you. Thank you Lord.

Thursday, April 17, 2014 "Fully Obey"

If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
Deuteronomy 28:1

I pray to receive this promise today. I believe the Lord will assume full responsibility for the life of my husband and I as we obey and honor His Word. He will fulfill all our needs.

Wednesday, April 16, 2014 "Be a Blessing"

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
Luke 6:45

Let us show compassion and love for one another. Let us turn from our selfish ways and stop thinking only of our own needs. So many around you are struggling and need a word of God. You can be that person to uplift another with the message of hope ... By sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Savior. Don't hold back because of fear or insecurity but instead step out in bold faith and trust the Holy Spirit will guide you with His hand and speak through you with His Word. Be a beacon of light to someone today. Take the focus off yourself. Be a blessing to another.

Tuesday, April 15, 2014 "New Birth New Hope"

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
 1 Peter 1:3

There is hope in the Lord. This holy week reminds me of His mercies and new beginnings. I am praying and believing in a new.

Monday, April 14, 2014 "Leave the Outcome to God"

Therefore you shall love Yahweh your God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his ordinances, and his commandments, always.
Deuteronomy 11:1

There is true joy in obedience. We simply must obey God's Word and commandments and leave the outcome to God.

Sunday, April 13, 2014 "In Every Way"

May those who delight in my vindication
    shout for joy and gladness;
may they always say, “The Lord be exalted,
who delights in the well-being of his servant.”
Psalm 35:27

A life with Jesus is prosperous. In every way. Live in victory today. Know that truth.

Saturday, April 12, 2014 "The Cross"

"And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me."
Matthew 10:38
Let us be reminded this upcoming week of our Lord's sacrifice on the cross. He died so that we could have life. How tragic for those that miss this wonderful gift. Today let us pray for the lost, for the deaf, for the blind. Let us pray for those that know the truth but choose to deny. And let us pray that the Lord sends an angel to those that have never been told the gospel. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. (Mark 16:16) The cross symbolizes life not death. He is not hung dead on the cross, nailed to the post. He is the Risen Lamb of God. He is our Savior Jesus Christ.

Friday, April 11, 2014 "Be Silent"

"The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” Exodus 14:14

"Vengeance is mine, I will repay," says the Lord. (Romans 12:19)When someone wrongs you, forgive them and surrender them to the Him. The Bible tells us, "The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet." (Matthew 22:44)  Allow the Lord to work in your life, in this very situation you are facing. Hold your tongue and remain in His grace.

Thursday, April 10, 2014 "How Do You React?"

"and put everything under their feet." In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them." Hebrews 2:8

The choice is ours to make when we are faced with life's challenges. We can either look at it through the natural and panic and worry. Or we can look at it through the supernatural eyes of faith and respond by saying, "Thank you Lord for your promises because I know if you allowed this to happen, you will enable me to move on through this." When we know we are living in God's will we should never react negatively. If we already know He is in control of our lives and we do not receive what it is we have been praying for, then we should also know He has something better for us. If we are in need of a job and every interview we have been on leads nowhere than we must know these jobs are not for us. We must trust that He has another plan that we cannot see. The Lord stands outside of time and sees the beginning, middle and the end therefore we must allow His work to be done. I know it is much easier said than done but try. Try to change your mindset to those biblical truths. Pray and ask the Lord to help you see things through your eyes of faith. Ask that you are not influenced by the world. How we react or respond is very important. Involve God in every situation, by every word spoken. Let us move towards victory by expressing our faith in Jesus Christ. And let us be strengthened by His Word each and every day.

Wednesday, April 9, 2014 "He Will Do It"

The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
1 Thessalonians 5:24

"Courage is firmly facing difficulties and obstacles, knowing God has promised to be with you."- Millie Stamm

Tuesday, April 8, 2014 "God is Unity"

I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. Romans  16:17-18

Division is not of God. God is love and unity. With God's unity comes peace and we must maintain that at all times. He is oneness and togetherness. Avoid anyone who tries to create dissension. Be leery of anything or anyone that tries to isolate you from others. We are strengthened when we are surrounded by other brothers and sisters in Christ for "iron sharpens iron" (Proverbs 27:17). We need to encourage and uplift one another so we can continue to press on for the Kingdom of God. Anything that comes to distract you is of the enemy. God is love, faith and hope.

Monday, April 7, 2014 "Never Compromise"

I refuse to dummy down my love for the Lord because it makes others feel uncomfortable. I will not water down my beliefs because I come off too preachy. I will not compromise my faith in order to fit in. I will not withhold the truth because it may offend another. God must come first always, not when it is convenient. Never allow this world to make you doubt who you are in Christ Jesus. When you know who you are in Him, no one nor nothing will ever cause you to stumble. Work on your relationship with God and everything else will come together.
So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. James 4:17

Sunday, April 6, 2014 "His Favor and Honor"

For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:12

God's favor is upon His people. I am beyond grateful for His love and faithfulness on my life. When I focus on His great love for me,  I am both at rest and at peace. He conquered my fears at the cross and He reminds me I am a victor in Him, not a victim. His mercy and grace is upon my life and "for the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly."Psalm 84:11

Saturday, April 5, 2014 "Why?"

27 As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.”
28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” Luke 11:27-28

Obedience is all God asks of us. Why haven't you obeyed His simple commands?

Friday, April 4, 2014 "Hear Me"

"Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer." Psalm 4:1

Thursday, April 3, 2014 "Better to Give than to Receive"

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’Acts 20:35

It is such a blessing when we are able to take our focus off of ourselves and place it unto someone else. Bless someone today. Help someone today. Whether it be a kind word, a ride, a meal or even a love offering. It will change your mindset and heal your heart. I remember years back receiving the most devastating news and my husband came home and got me. He told me the best thing to do was to accompany him to the local church he was helping out at and help serve at their fundraiser. I have to tell you the young children there were full of joy and so happy and enthusiastic that I honestly forgot about myself and my troubles. I was able to help someone else while I was at my lowest point. Be a blessing today. Especially when you don't feel like it. Donate when asked. Offer when not asked. You cannot out give God and you cannot out give His children. You will be so happy you did.

Wednesday, April 2, 2014 "The Middle"

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1

The Bible tells us that few are called but many are chosen. (Matthew 22:14) For those that have answered the call of the Lord, this one is for you. Take heart and be patient. Live this life for God, give all glory to Him and actively work for Him. Be enthusiastic in your walk, be kind and gentle, loving and true. Forgive others for they do not know. Run the race that is set before you with perseverance. For this race is a marathon with no finish line until the Lord calls us home. During your race, help those you meet that need a touch from the Lord. Bear witness to those that are blind. Show others that God is real and alive and has come to take away the sins of this world. The world tells us it is not how we begin but how we finish. My God tells my heart what happens in the middle is most important.

Tuesday, April 1, 2014 "The Day is Drawing Near"

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

Small groups of people that gather together in the name of the Lord is biblical and it is needed in the life of a believer. The Word tells us that iron sharpens iron. Meaning we do not dull the life of a child of God but rather sharpen one another by encouraging one another making each other stronger not weaker. It is vital to anyone's walk to be surrounded by those fellow believers. Those you can build relationships with while trusting one another. Pray for one another and stay focused while diligently working for the Kingdom of God until our Lord comes back again. The day is drawing near.

Monday, March 31, 2014 "The Truth"

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
James 3:17

The truth we know about God is that His wisdom and His grace will carry us through any trial or struggle that we will face in our life. We are not to fear for He is with us. I thank you Lord for your love and faithfulness. I could never do life without you. I cry for those that are trying. Save them today Lord!
