Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of instruction about washing's, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits.
Hebrews 6:1-3
The Lord is our rock eternal. (Isaiah 26:4) When we place our faith in Him we need only be still and rest in Him. I tell my sisters in Christ that all the bible studies we attend and all the services in the world won't make a bit of difference if we don't apply in life what we have learned. Why am I in church weekly? It is not for appearances or out of obligation. I am there to hear the spoken Word of God and to gain His infinite wisdom. I am not taking pages of notes so I can boast later how studious I am. No, I want to learn, grow and mature in my walk so when the trials come, I am prepared. If I know scriptures and I know how to arm myself for the spiritual battles than I can rest in knowing He is for me. Study. Apply. Learn.
