Wednesday, October 29, 2014 "Listen for God"

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. John 10:27-28

Often times we grow frustrated when we are waiting on answered prayers.  But the truth is prayer is speaking and also listening to God. Sometimes we just talk and talk and never listen. We must be still in His presence and He will speak to your heart.

Obey the Word of the Lord. Any other 

choice will result in a wasted life.

Monday. October 27, 2014 "My Rock Eternal"

I cannot do this life without God. I simply cannot. Life is too hard. I need Him every day. He is my shelter, my refuge, and my strength. He is my Rock Eternal. 

Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:4

 Through daily prayer, I am blessed with happiness,

Saturday, October 25, 2014 "Contrary to the Spirit"

Our Spirit battles with the flesh every day. Therefore we must keep our eyes on God. Every day. At all times. Other wise we may sink into the traps of this world. It is very difficult to live among so many God haters in this dark world without strength. We draw that strength from our living God and His Word. To simply go to church for an hour on Sunday and not pick up your Bible the rest of the week will weaken you. To not attend church and just read some scriptures here and there during the week from a booklet will weaken you. Only when we combine the two, will we gain power. The super natural power needed to ward off the evilness of the world. It is very real. It is a very serious matter and the Lord wants you to be disciplined in your walk so you can face the battles of life. #victoryinChrist

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. Galatians 5:17

Friday, October 24, 2014 "Love"

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:11

There should be zero tolerance in the Christian life and heart for hate, resentment, anger, and competition. We are called to love one another as Christ loves us. Period. No excuses.  No exceptions. If you are feeling this way please, do not fall into the trap of justification. The Lord hates when we justify sin. Simply love. 

Thursday, October 23, 2014 "Willing To"

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land" Isaiah 1:19

When we give our lives to Christ, truly and completely, He will take responsibility for our lives. Meaning He will guide us, lead us, and keep us on His righteous path. I have set my mind to this promise, and I must say I no longer worry like I did. If there is a need, I know He will provide. I know He is at the head of our household and our marriage. We are willing to live to honor Him, glorify Him and edify Him. His Word tells us because of our willingness to obey, He will bless us. Surrendering everything to Him has saved my life. If you have never truly submitted everything to Him, you are missing out on an amazing gift. He wants you to trust Him with it all, not just some of it, all of it. He wants you bless you today.

Wednesday, October 22, 2014 "To Be Reunited"

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Today marks the day of profound loss in the lives of both my husband and me. He lost his dear Mom fifteen years ago today, and we both lost a very close friend, Carole, ten years ago today. So sad. Death is just so sad. For some it is also so final. But for believers in Christ, there is hope for we will see our loved ones again. We will be reunited with them in Heaven. That is comforting. That is merciful. That is God's love.

Amazing love, how can it be, that you my King, would die for me? My Lord and Savior is my everything. He died for my sins so that I could live. It is my honor to live my days serving Him. 

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17

Monday,October 20, 2014 "Stop Being Part Time"

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

There is power in the name of Jesus. We are transformed by His love. How do we achieve that deep personal relationship with God? We must seek Him and we must read His Word daily. When we begin to read the Bible, we begin to grow in the Spirit. As we mature in the Spirit, our faith deepens as we learn more about Him. Church attendance is so vital for your faith as well. To hear the Word of God is essential to our soul as is fellow shipping with other believers. One without the other will make us weak. When we add both into our lives, on a consistent basis, we will receive the power of the Lord in our lives. We must stop being part time believers and become full time followers of Christ. God first. Everything else second. 

Sunday, October 19, 2014 "Carry Each Other"

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

I love when I can celebrate with my loved ones as well as mourn with them. I am not comfortable when those around me try to hide when things are not going well. It hurts me because I would love to pray with them, pray for them, and be there for them. To not confide in me makes me sad. I don't want to just know when things are going good because I can visibly see that. I want to know how you got there. I want to hear about the power of God and what He has done in your life. I want to hear your testimony. Our pride wants to hide the bad and only share the good but how is that helping anyone? We are called to carry each other's burdens so let us be there for one another, in love. Amen!

Saturday, October 18, 2014 "Good Living"

 "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws." 

Ezekiel 36:26-27

 I have learned through many painful trials that my life is worth nothing without Christ in it. The simplest of days are so much more meaningful with Him present in my life. I don't need fancy cars or shiny watches, nor elaborate trips or a fat wallet. Just the love of my Lord in my heart. I have learned to place all  my faith and trust in Him, and my life has completely changed. Ephesians 4:24 says "and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness". Peace beyond belief and grace beyond imagination. You don't know what good living is until you live for God! 

Friday, October 17, 2014 "His Steadfast Love"

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
    for his steadfast love endures forever. Psalm 136:1

Relationships will end. Money will be spent. Looks will fade. Jobs will be lost. Youth will be our past. There is only one thing that will not end- will not be spent- nor it will not fade- nor be lost.... and that is God's love for us. The peace He gives us. And the mercy He bestows upon us. Look past the things of this world that are temporal and look to the One Who is forever.

Thursday, October 16, 2014 "Don't Associate with..."

There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him,Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a person who stirs up dissension in the community. Proverbs 6: 16-19

Don't associate with people that only want to speak death about others. We are called to be the light of the world. We are blessed when we are peacemakers. There is no place in our small circle for liars, haters, thieves, gossipers, trouble makers, nor schemers.

The Lord's wisdom and grace will carry us through any trial we may face. Trust. Believe. Wait upon Him. 

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Psalm 27:14

Monday, October 13, 2014 "Are You Being Deceived?"

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. 

Colossians 2:8

Place all your faith and hope in the One Who died for you. (John 3:16) He is the answer for your life.  He is not someone to turn to just in time of need, nor is He someone you should be thankful for just in times of glory. We should honor Him in our peaks and in our valleys. We must accept His love for us and accept Him into our hearts in order to live. Life without Jesus is a lonely life. And to imagine life after this one without Jesus? You may be convinced to live life for yourself. You may be convinced that this life is the only life we live. You may be convinced there is no Lord and Savior. I have one simple question for you. What if everything you convinced your mind of was indeed wrong? What if you are wrong? You are okay with chancing your life over it? It is worth more to you to live your life the way you want now, then care what happens when you die? My friends you are being deceived if you are believing that there is no God, no enemy, no Heaven, no hell. "And with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved." (2 Thessalonians 2:10) I encourage you to read the Word and seek His truth and listen to His voice for He is the only One that can save you. He is the only One to listen to. Don't do it for your spouse, parent, child, or friend. Do it for yourself.  Isn't your life worth that much?

"He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30

More of Him and less of man.  I vow to keep my mind and heart right with God. I vow to honor His name and Word with my words and actions. I vow to keep Him first, above all else. 

Saturday, October 11, 2014 "Never"

And this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us. 2 Corinthians 8:5

Never compromise your faith. Never justify a sin. Never betray the One who gave His life for you.  Never break your word.  Never miss an opportunity to share the gospel.

We need to stop fitting God into our schedule but instead plan our schedule around God. Amen?!

Thursday, October 9, 2014 "He is Worth it"

If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 1 Peter 4:14

To be rejected is hard. To be ridiculed is gut wrenching. But when it is for the name of Jesus, then it is worth it. He is worth it. 

Wednesday, October 8, 2014 "Not in Image but In Truth"

But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:24

The Kingdom of God is actually a very small circle. Most church communities visit one another so it seems as though everyone knows everyone. No matter what the case always present yourself with grace. Act in grace, talk in grace, live in grace. There is no other way to be. We must testify to the gospel of grace not in image ,but in truth. 

Tuesday, October 7, 2014 "Usher Them out with Love"

Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Luke 6:37

People judge each other way too much. I can think of several people that put others down so quickly, and it really saddens my heart. Instead of celebrating one another, by supporting one another, through words of encouragement, they tear down. Why? Most people that compete and compare are insecure. They rather put someone down who tries than praise them. How many others do you know that have a hard time complementing? I used to get so hurt, but now I just know that my actions don't make them feel good about themselves. So when they feel insecure they try to be negative or discouraging. If you have experienced the same as me, the best thing I have found is to remove these people from your circle. They are no good for you nor the Kingdom of God. Choose to surround yourself with those that express their love and appreciation for you. God is for you and God is love. Forgive them and usher them out with love. #Ichooselove  

Monday, October 6, 2014 "Who Do You Depend On?"

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:45

I have learned not to depend on anyone but the Lord for my happiness. My relationship with Him IS the most important relationship in my life. For I know should everything and everyone be taken away from me, I will still be standing strong for I placed my life in the hands of the Almighty God, who is everlasting. When we place our hopes in temporal things we will be disappointed every time. Therefore stand for Christ, let your life edify Him. Anything else will fall aside, but His love will endure forever.

Sunday, October 5, 2014 "Jesus Saves"

Jesus Saves. No matter what you are going through, He is there. He will never turn His back on you. Reach out and take His hand. He will save you and bring you out of the darkness. Turn to Him. 

Trust Him. 

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Psalm 34:17-20

Saturday, October 4, 2014 "Acting in our Flesh"

"Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger." James 1:19

We need to stop reacting when we are feeling emotional. How often do you speak in a moment of anger and say something you regret the minute you say it? Or make a decision based on sadness then realize it was the wrong thing? When my Mom died we were given the advice not to do anything for six months with regards to making decisions because of our emotions. The Word tells us to be "anxious for nothing", "do not fear", "don't worry about anything", "slow to speak". We need to rest in His peace. We need to be bold in our assurance that we are forgiven and highly favored. We must focus on how much He loves us. By doing these things, we will stop acting in our flesh. Our mindset will instead turn to Him for guidance. How great is our God!! And what a great reminder for us all.  #liveinvictory

Friday, October 3, 2014 'He Deserves to be First"

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

God deserves our first fruits, not our leftovers. I apply this to my time, my money, my service, and my heart. He died on the Cross for me, and I will honor that sacrifice for me until the day I die. He died so that I could live, so how dare I live a life for myself? My husband and I have changed our lives completely, and we now pledge that everything we do is to glorify God. He is the center of our home, and He comes first. I do not tithe what is left of a paycheck, I give to God first. I do not choose to attend church on Sunday when there is nothing else to do on my calendar. I do not serve in the ministry when it is convenient. And I certainly do not turn to God only when I am in need of something. Let us live for God. Let us give back to our loving Father. He deserves to be first.

"no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD. 

Isaiah 54:17

In the name of Jesus I ask that you cover my loved ones with your precious blood. Protect us from the evil one and its servants. I ask that this evil world not grieve us. I ask that you sanctify us with Your grace, peace, mercy, and love. Let us rest in You Lord for you are our fortress in times of trouble. Let us find safety in Your arms. I love you Lord and I thank you for answering my prayers.  Amen.
