Tuesday, March 31, 2015 "He Can"

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

When I can't, I know God can.  There is nothing He cannot do.  Knowing this truth allows me to rest in Him. Simply trust Him for all your needs.

Monday, March 30, 2015 "Peace at all Times"

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. 2 Thessalonians 3:16

This is such a comforting and amazing promise. I love the peace my Lord gives me. My heart is full with His love and that joy overcomes all worriment. Even in times of waiting, I focus on all that He has done in my life, and I remind myself He will do it again, in His perfect timing. When we do this, we hold his peace. It is the greatest gift of all. Don't waste your days being anxious, angry, worried sick, stressed over things you have no control over. Allow Him to work in your life. How comforting to know we have someone who is willing and able to do amazing things on our behalf if we simply ask.

Sunday, March 29, 2015 "Palm Sunday"

Matthew 21:1-11 Palm Sunday

Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King

21 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives,Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”
This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:
“Say to Daughter Zion,
‘See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”[a]
The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna[b] to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”[c]
“Hosanna[d] in the highest heaven!”
10 When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”
11 The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Saturday, March 28, 2015 "The Prayers of the Righteous"

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17

I declare my faith in Jesus Christ.  Through prayer, I am blessed and highly favored.  He hears the prayers of the righteous. "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." 1 Peter 3:12
Don't ever think He is not listening to you because your prayers have not been answered. If you have placed your life in the hands of our loving Father than know in your heart He hears you and has not forsaken you. Just be patient and wait on Him.

Friday, March 27, 2015 "Keeping Our Word"

"But whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him."
1 John 2:5

The Bible speaks on the importance of keeping our word to one another. Our yes needs to be our yes and our no should be no.  No need for a lot of words. All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
( Matthew 5:37I prefer someone not commit to something than commit all the time only to change their mind later. We really need to be people of our word. It matters to God therefore it should matter to us.

Thursday, March 26, 2015 "Psalm 29:11"

"The Lord gives His people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace." Psalm 29:11

Wednesday, March 25, 2015 "Our Choices"

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Colossians 3:1

There are consequences to the actions and choices we make in this life time. When we live in obedience to God's Word and seek His will for our lives, we can boldly say, "Simply obey the Lord and leave the consequences to Him".  For I know a holy life dedicated to serving and glorifying the Lord will bring forth a fruitful, full and joyful life. What more could anyone ask for? #chooseobediencetoGod

Tuesday, March 24, 2015 "I Choose God's Way"

Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
Psalm 25:12

I feel bad for those that cry out to God only in their time of need or despair yet find no need for Him in their every day lives. For me I need Him every day, in good times and in bad. I want a life full of what God has to offer not a life full of this world.  I choose God's way.

Monday, March 23, 2015 "Monday are Hard"

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Mondays are hard. Songs were written about them. But why start a wonderful week calling it "manic Monday?" We are children of the Most High. We are blessed and highly favored. Let us approach the start of our work week with boldness, expectancy, and joy. Thank the good Lord for that steady job you have each morning.  There are so many others praying for the opportunities you already have. Be grateful and thankful. Don't miss it. We are called to give God the glory in every aspect of our lives. We must not grumble and complain but instead be happy and use every chance we can get to praise God. He is worthy to be praised, today and every day.

Sunday, March 22, 2015 "Whom Shall I Fear?"

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. Psalm 56:3

The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?

Saturday, March 21, 2015 "Seek Him First"

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Matthew 6:33

Ask God to keep You in His care today. Seek Him first and everything else will come together.

Friday, March 20, 2015 "The Way We Act"

The way we act during a trial matters to God. It also affects us. We must find God in all things, not just the good things. We need to know that He is in control over all of our lives, not just some parts. Our faith must be exercised in order to gain strength. We must persevere through difficult times in order to bear a Godly testimony to another. I know it can become unbearable and we cry out to God begging for mercy and it seems like no one is listening but trust me, He is with you. Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Thursday, March 19, 2015 "The Act of the Giver"

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Luke 6:38

So many are rich toward themselves, their loved ones, their friends but they are not rich toward God. All of our blessings come from our Father in heaven yet He seems to be passed over. We can never out give God, the local church, a global ministry, a stranger in need. Don't worry about the taker, just know God is pleased with the act of the giver. It shows you trust Him and are acting on faith. You will be blessed in your heart for it.

Wednesday, March 18, 2015 "In All Things, Pray!"

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Why life gets too hard, kneel.  Prayer is the most powerful tool in our arsenal.  The Holy Spirit who leads us to all truth encourages us to pray about everything and worry about nothing. I choose peace, not angst. I choose life not death. I choose Jesus Christ to have all dominion over my life. Therefore I will rest in Him and in all things, I will pray.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. Ephesians 6:18

Wednesday, March 18, 2015

Tuesday, March 17, 2015 "Life's Reminders"

Pray big. Ephesians 3:12
Expect big. Psalm 5:3
Think on lovely thoughts. Phil. 4:8
Train your mind to be grateful, thankful, and content. Psalm 136:1
Trust in the Lord and He will give you strength. Psalm 28:7

Monday, March 16, 2015 "Fullness of Joy"

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10

Do not be deceived by the lies of the enemy. He comes to lie, steal and destroy. When we stay in God's will and remain obedient to Him and focus on Him, the enemy will flee. Give him zero "air time". Pay him no mind. You just wake up every day and thank the good Lord for your blessings and stay on a spiritual high and nothing will affect you. Enjoy the fullness of joy. Happy Monday!

Sunday, March 15, 2015 "Why is it Okay?"

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Why does the world always try to condemn Christians when and if they are paid for doing God's work? Where does it say that Christians are not to have wealth or abundance but instead live in poverty? High profile ministers are always scrutinized and criticized yet high profile global business men aren't for their wealth and I ask why? I expect great and mighty things from my Lord who calls upon things that are not as though they are. He is mighty to save and His Word promises to reward my obedience and faith. I choose to receive those blessings!

Saturday, March 14, 2015 "Wait For It!"

For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. Habbakuk 2:3

God's timing is never late and as Joyce Meyer pointed out yesterday He usually isn't early either.  During those times we must wait with patience, assurance, grace, and joy.  We cannot fall apart as soon as trials come.  Why do we attend church? Why do we go to Bible studies? Retreats? Ministries? Why do we fellowship with other believers? Why do we read the Word of God? Why do we pray? We do it to strengthen our faith in Jesus by developing a deeper relationship with Him. We learn scriptures so we know how to pray and recite the Word of God.  We do it to prepare for the battles that will come our way.  It is no different than a soldier preparing for war.  What good would it do if he prepared and trained and sacrificed his time from home to be "called up" and instead of using his tools, he caved and gave up?  We as Christians know we will be tested and tried and we cannot lose hope and faith at the first sight of trouble. Otherwise what was it all for? You might as well read a book, go to a Sunday sports event, or sleep in on Sunday if you are NOT going to call upon the name of Jesus when the time comes. Step up! Hold on! Wait for It!

Friday, March 13, 2015 "Holy Peace"

The Lord gives strength to his people;
the Lord blesses his people with peace.   Psalm 29:11

We all need to find our place of "holy peace".  That no matter what circumstances we facing, no matter where we are in our life, we can find that peace that only comes from our one true living God and receive it.  All we need to do is be still in His presence, know that He has our life in His hands and there is nothing else we need to do.  He assumes responsibility for our life when we live in obedience to His Word therefore we need only be still and wait for His small still voice.

Thursday, March 12, 2015 "He Knows Me"

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11

He knows my name. He knows my every thought. My life is in His hands. Thank you Lord for the love you have shown me.

Wednesday, March 11, 2015 "I am at a Crossroads"

Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:17

I will seek the will of God today for my life.  Not what I think I need, not what I think I want.  But what He desires for my life.  What He called me to do.  I am at a crossroads of my life and I will wait upon the Lord.

Tuesday, March 10, 2015 "Less of Me, More of You"

"He must become greater; I must become less." John 3:30

Let us take the focus off of ourselves today and think of others. I find I am so repulsed by self absorbed and selfish mindsets. It goes against everything the Lord is.  When Jesus walked this Earth He would say, "Not my will but the will of my Father."  I cannot tell you how many people I talk to in a given day that never even ask, "how are you?" It saddens my heart and it makes me even more determined not to be like that.  I choose to look outside myself and my own circumstances and ask what can I do to glorify God today? When we do that, we breathe life into our own lives and the lives of others. Be a blessing to someone else today. Pray for someone today. Lend a helping a hand....a word of encouragement. Let's be more like God and less of ourselves today. Amen?!

Monday, March 9, 2015 "No Matter What"

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

Blessed assurance is a gift for it comforts us in times of doubt, fear, struggle.  I know that no matter where I am in my life, no matter what the circumstances are, He has me in His sight and in His arms. I do not fear, I do not doubt for I know I am blessed and highly favored. I am righteous and He hears my prayers. There is no need to worry for my faith tells me I can be sure He will provide for me and protect me. Stop analyzing the why's and why not's but instead just rest in Him and focus on His presence in your life. It will do your heart good. Have a peaceful day in Him!

Sunday, March 8, 2015 "God is Greater"

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

There is nothing impossible for my God.  He is bigger than my circumstances. He is greater than all the earth. I will not fear. I will not panic. I will keep my eyes on the Lord and allow Him to work in my life. I will wait upon the Lord.

Saturday, March 7, 2015 "Praise God Always"

Let everything that has breath praise the LordPraise the Lord.
Psalm 150:6

Praise God when you are in the valley. Praise God when you are on the mountain. Praise God when you are in the storm. Praise God when you are stepping out of the storm.
Are you seeing a pattern here? Praise God.

Friday, March 6, 2015 "Jesus or you?"

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

I look at all of these different controversial topics that swirl around in our culture today, and I have come to realize it really is a matter of who is Lord over your life.

So who is the Lord over your life? Jesus or you?

Thursday, March 5, 2015 "Do Not Conform"

" Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Romans 12: 2

In order to do this we must stand up for the truth!
Jesus is the truth!
Reject what the world is trying to impose on you and
instead receive God's love for you.

Wednesday, March 4, 2015 "Let Him"

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed". John 8:36

Jesus can set you free. Free from all bondage, addiction, and disorders. All you have to do is let Him.

Tuesday, March 3, 2015 "A Word for the Day"

Do not fear for God is near.

And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.” Acts 18:9-10

Monday, March 2, 2015 "A Word for the Day"

It takes more faith to be an atheist
than it does a Christian.

And have mercy on those who doubt; Jude 1:22

Sunday, March 1, 2015

Sunday, March 1, 2015 "Sunday Prayer"

Jesus is always with us. He never leaves nor forsakes. We may be betrayed, hurt, or disappointed by those closest to us, but rest assured Jesus is the One relationship that will never let you down. All who are burdened, He promises rest. I ask you Lord to restore Your children to wholeness, heal the brokenhearted, and bring all who are lost, closer to You. Amen.
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
