"But whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him."
1 John 2:5
The Bible speaks on the importance of keeping our word to one another. Our yes needs to be our yes and our no should be no. No need for a lot of words. All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
( Matthew 5:37) I prefer someone not commit to something than commit all the time only to change their mind later. We really need to be people of our word. It matters to God therefore it should matter to us.
