Tuesday, May 26, 2015 "Each Ordained Step"

A person's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand their own way? Proverbs 20:24

When life gets too hard and you are beginning to feel overwhelmed, be still. Take a deep breath. Focus on God and His love for you. Remind yourself He loves you and has you in His sight. When you are living in God's will, you need not be afraid for He has you. He has ordained your steps, simply follow Him. He won't let you stumble.

Monday, May 25, 2015 "God Is For Us"

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

Meditate on this passage for it has power. When we face the world we often times will experience rejection, humiliation and even isolation. We are not of this world nor do we think like this world therefore the "world" sees us as different. That difference, which is the light of the Lord and the Spirit that which is upon us, disturbs the unsaved. So when we feel the resistance from others, know that it is very real. It can hurt, it can be lonely, it can cause bitterness in our hearts, but when we remember that God is for us therefore nothing else matters, then prayerfully we can find solace and peace in that truth. The Lord wants you to live each day with joy and thanksgiving. Rebuke anything or anyone that is not of God and allow the Holy Spirit to bless you with a peaceful and happy day, each and every day. He wants that for you. #Jesusisreal

Sunday, May 24, 2015 "The Best Medicine"

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Hebrews 13:16

Be of service to another in need. Sometimes when we are feeling low or sad about something, the best remedy is to help another. Blessing others is the best medicine.

Saturday, May 23, 2015 "Three Powerful Words"

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

Three of the most powerful words spoken to another is, "I am sorry." 3 of the most powerful words to receive in return? "I forgive you". God is love. Forgive one another as God has forgiven you. Do not allow any room in your heart for malice, resentment, or bitterness. Make room for love, joy, peace and hope. Love like God. Forgive like God.

Friday, May 22, 2015 "Everlasting"

With God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 Never let anyone tell you otherwise. Be bold in your faith. Do not allow anyone else's negativity ever affect your relationship with God. He is your everlasting life.
John 3:16

Thursday, May 21, 2015 "My Role as God's Daughter"

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways! You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently. Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes! Psalm 119:1-5

As a daughter of the Most High, I always try to stay mindful and aware of my words and actions. Whether it be on social media or in person I need to reflect God in me not my flesh. Little things such as what I post or how I speak is a direct reflection of the Lord. I don't use the words luck. I don't post my horoscopes "because they are interesting". I don't read fortune cookies and post what they say "just out of fun". I stopped watching all horror movies "for the thrill" because spirits can actually attach themselves to you and your home. I have learned so much about the responsibility we hold as children of the living God. And that is why I take my walk and role as a Pastor's wife very seriously. I want to others to see God's love in me. It really starts with our minds first then our attitudes. It is always good when we take a personal/mental inventory of ourselves so we that we can make those smaller changes now in order to make that bigger impact later. Amen! #buildingthekingdomonesoulatatime

Wednesday, May 20, 2015 "Stop Being Negative"

"Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:20

We must focus of what we do have and not what we don't have.  Focusing on the negative things of life just brings you down. Period. Nothing good comes of it except frustration, depression and anger. So allow the Lord to work in your life no matter how long it may take. Live each day with gratitude and joy and change your mind to all things lovely. Surround yourself with positive people who love and trust God. Stay mindful to God's Word and you will become not only closer to Him but you will know Him more. The closer you become, the more faith you will have and the more peaceful you will be. God loves you. He wants what is best for you and wants you to simply trust.

Tuesday, May 19, 2015 "Jehovah Jireh"

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

I find now that I take my life each day as it comes I am more at peace, and I have less worriment. I do not plan far ahead anymore. Sure I still make my lists and stay organized, but I don't assume anything or plan anything without first seeking God. I used to want to be in control, I was impatient and wanted what I wanted when I wanted it. But when the Lord called me out of the world and my secular job in 2010, I found that I had to depend totally on Him. It is where He keeps me so that I never stray far and that is fine with me. He has provided for my family and I for all of our needs. He has blessed us abundantly. He takes care of all of our needs. He even blesses us with our "wants" too. He has just been an amazing Counselor and Provider through it all. He is our Jehovah Jireh and I will not fear.

Monday, May 18, 2015 "The Numbers Game"

We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. 2 Corinthians 10:12

Too often we measure our worth in numbers. Whether it be how much we are worth, what we weigh or even how many friends are in our circle. The truth is Jesus is the complete opposite. He was not a wealthy man nor did He have many relationships when He lived here on earth. He was always moving forward never looking back. He was wise in His decisions and very on guard with people around Him. He did not open His heart to many. The Bible speaks so clearly that we are to value our worth in Him and only Him. Not status, image, others, or wealth. So the next time you are feeling down on yourself when your flesh wants to play the numbers game, stop, be still and rebuke it. "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh". Galatians 5:16

Sunday, May 17, 2015 "Free Gift"

Jesus Saves.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Saturday, May 16, 2015 "Wait and Believe to Receive"

James 5:16 says, 'The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results.'

Whatever it is you are going through, continue to pray.
Pray your self through it. Don't give up. I know it can be discouraging and our patience run thin but His wisdom
and answers are worth the wait. Stay in the spirit, speak
the Word out loud and bring power into your life. The prayers of the righteous are heard and have power so wait and believe to receive.
Prayer works.
Prayer is powerful.
Prayer is the key that unlocks the door to Heaven.

Friday, May 15, 2015 "Jesus Completes Me"

So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. Colossians 2:10

We must come to realize we can never make someone else happy nor should we rely on someone else to make us happy. I have found no other relationship to be as satisfying and complete as my relationship with Jesus. People call it religion but to me that represents a traditional repetitive style of prayer and worship. For me I talk to the Lord all the time, everywhere, every day. I never forget to "say my prayers" or "say grace at the dinner table". That is like saying I forgot to talk to my parent/spouse/friend today. I forgot to breathe today. My relationship with the Lord is not something I only think of on Sunday. He is with me seven days a week. He is a commitment. He is a lifelong decision. He is not a temporal fix or solution to a now problem. Jesus is the answer, not just an answer. I could not do life without Him.

Thursday, May 14, 2015 "He Does Not Want our Money, He Wants our Trust"

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7

You can tell a true heart of a person by their check book register. When someone is rich toward God, they are rich toward His gospel and truth. When we give of ourselves and obey God's principals of tithing, we are showing our faith and trust in the Lord. Remember He deserves our first fruits, not our left overs or IOU's. All of our blessings are His. He does not want our money, He wants our trust. Our trust moves His hands. And may His favor be bestowed upon you today.

Wednesday, May 13, 2015 "Wouldn't You Want Me to Share?"

I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. Isaiah 45:3

If I knew the location of the Fountain of Youth, wouldn't you want me to share that with you?  Wouldn't you be upset if I kept that to myself? If I knew what tonight's winning lotto numbers were, wouldn't you want me to share that with you?  Wouldn't you be upset if I kept that information to myself?  If I knew where there was hidden treasure, wouldn't you want me to share that with you?  Wouldn't you be upset if I did not share what I knew? If you answered yes to one or all of these questions and consider them to be "good news" worth sharing, than you can now understand why I am always sharing Jesus and the gospel with you and others. For He is the hidden treasure... He is the good news! By accepting Jesus as your personal savior and Lord, your life is transformed and renewed. Your wrongs are made right, all sins are forgiven, and you are guaranteed eternal life. No more shame, guilt, or fear...no more walking this life alone doing the best you can. Instead you will be led by the Lord God in Heaven, guiding your every step and move. You will be powered by the Holy Spirit and one with God. I don't know about you, but that is worth more to me than any potion or fortune for none of that can be taken with you. No one is buried with their age defying creams and wallets. So next time you wonder why people continue to share with you the gospel of Jesus Christ,  you might remember this and listen with an open heart. Be blessed!

Tuesday, May 12, 2015 "The Key That Unlocks Heaven's Gates"

Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

My favorite scripture tells me that when we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will grant us our heart's desires. I must say this promise is true. I cannot begin to share all the dreams, thoughts, visions, and prayers I would think and speak to the Lord. He heard them all. There is truly no greater life than this. To be free from this world and all that lies in it, to be submissive only unto Him and to live in His will according to His purpose is the key that unlocks Heaven's gates. Listen to His voice, obey His commands, give glory and honor in all you do and love like Him and your life will be transformed. Mine has and I am forever grateful.

Monday, May 11, 2015 "Let Us"

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

Let us be the influence in this world.  Let us show others the love of God by our actions. Let us be a person of our word. Let us be an encouragement for someone needing a word of hope. Let us walk the walk not just talk the talk. Let us speak truth and life and never death.  And when doing this, let us always glorify God in Heaven.

Sunday, May 10, 2015 "Jesus Give my Mom a Kiss for Me"

And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Matthew 23:9

I am not a mother.  My Mom went to be with Jesus three years ago so Mother's Day is a tough holiday. I choose to concentrate on my Father God in heaven who is my parent, my counselor, my rock, my everything. He loves me and protects me. He provides all of my needs and blesses me beyond comprehension. My life is filled with His abundance of peace, love, and hope. He wipes my tears and fills my heart with joy. I thank you Lord for being my Father. For loving me so much you sent your only Son to die for me so that I could live eternally with you. You are awesome and I love you with all my heart.  Thank you for comforting me today and give my Mom a kiss for me. #MyMomis4everinmyheart

Saturday, May 9, 2015 "He Will Make a Way"

"Only fear the LORD and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you."
1 Samuel 12:24

The Lord provides all of our needs according to His riches and glory. Do not worry about bills, what you will eat, what you will wear, how will you make it to work on an empty tank of gas.  He will make a way when there seems to be no way. All you must do is trust in Him. Obey His Word. Honor His commandments, follow His path of righteousness, live in His will and He will provide for you. The Lord assumes full responsibility for our needs when we obey Him. So listen to His voice, obey Him and have reverence for His Word and you will never need or want for anything. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; Hebrews 12:28 I am living testimony of this biblical truth. Let go of the reins, stop trying to control the situation and let Him take over. Trust Him today.

Friday, May 8, 2015 "The Great I Am"

God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelite's: 'I AM has sent me to you." Exodus 3:14

There is nothing He cannot do. I am powerless, but He is the Great I Am. I can take anything boldly to the throne and ask it in His name. I am not shy in my relationship with Jesus. I exalt His name on high and give Him all my praise and glory and trust in His promises. I know He loves me and hears my call. I thank Him for all He has done in my life and all He continues to do. He is God the Father above all heaven and earth. He is Yahweh. He is God.

Thursday, May 7, 2015 "Be a Reflection of God"

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

I pray for those that can never seem to get past themselves. The self centered, self absorbed, narcissistic people of this world. The Lord was the most selfless man. It was never about Him. We are called to be image bearers meaning we are called to be like Him. Instead of focusing on ourselves or playing the "one up" game with others let us love and encourage others. Let us help someone in their time of sorrow or need. Be empathetic, compassionate. Be sensitive. We are the very window to Jesus so let us reflect His goodness and kindness.  #reflectionofGod

Wednesday, May 6, 2015 "Power"

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words. Romans 8:26

Speak life into your words and rebuke anything that is not of God out of your life. You are powered by the Holy Spirit to do this and it shall be done. There is power in our words, thoughts and mind.

Tuesday, May 5, 2015 "God or Money?"

Why do we worry about paying the bills? Jesus boldly suggested that money is the biggest competitor against our commitment to God. Why do people climb the ladder to secure a higher paying job? Who do we really serve? Jesus contrasted earthly riches with eternal treasures, teaching that if we seek the Lord as priority number one, God will faithfully take care of our needs.

Matthew 6:19-24

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy,[a] your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy,[b] your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Monday, May 4, 2015 "Following Jesus"

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you." Acts 1:8

Following Jesus is a challenge, but you will have supernatural help from the same Holy Spirit who empowered Jesus.

Sunday, May 3, 2015 "How to Live in Victory"

"And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness". Acts 4:31

We must call upon the name of Jesus every morning and asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit. This gives us power to battle what lies ahead. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8We must stay strong in our faith and trust in His Word. That is how you live in victory and not defeat. Amen?!

Saturday, May 2, 2015 "True Character"

Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. Ephesians 6:6

"A person's true character is revealed by what he does when no one is watching."- God's Little Instruction Book

Friday, May 1, 2015 "This World is Turning Cold"

This world is turning cold. The Bible tells us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." Be a reflection of who God is, not who man wants you to be.

Thursday, April 28, 2015 "Must We Forgive...and Forget?"

"And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:25

When someone trespasses against us, we must forgive them as God has forgiven us. It does not mean we have to befriend our trespasser/offender moving forward. I use the term "break bread." For me, I forgive but use caution and wisdom. Especially when the offender has not repented or asked for forgiveness. In a circumstance such as that, I definitely guard my heart. The Bible instructs us to pray for our enemies, it does not say we must have them in our homes or lives. The Bible never speaks that we must forgive and forget. That is a worldly term, not biblical. Simply keep your heart pure and clean and do not allow any evil to enter in. Stay true to the Lord and you will be victorious against any and all malice. And give those people to Jesus and ask Him to reveal Himself to them, "for they do not even know what they are doing". (Luke 23:34)
