Monday, August 31, 2015 "It is Hard Not to Question"

We many never know why things happen as they do. We need to simply trust in the Lord in all things, at all times. It  is hard not to question and even analyze things, but He is all knowing and stands outside of any timeline. He sees it all. Therefore we must allow Him to guide and lead us. All I want to do is rest in the promise that He has it and all He wants from me is my trust and faith. I can do that! Proverbs 3:5

Sunday, August 30, 2015 "No Guilt"

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1

We must learn to forgive ourselves as Christ has.  So many people suffer from guilt. Guilt from their past and often times guilt from something they said or did against another person. But the truth is when we confess our sins to the Lord, we are forgiven. And if God has forgiven us, than so must we. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Meaning the Lord does not want His children to suffer from "self guilt".  He will "deal" with your mindset or heart matters and help you through to your healing. You must be ready and open to receive it. So give yourself the best gift you can ever give yourself....forgive yourself and live in the victory of His freedom. Amen!

The greatest commandment is to love the Lord with all your heart and soul and the second is to love thy neighbor like yourself.

Every child of God has value and purpose.  Never let the enemy lie to you and try to make you think otherwise. You are highly favored and blessed by our living God. Believe it. Receive it. When we place all of our faith in Christ. man cannot disappoint us. People will let you down but He will never. I am learning to lean on Him solely for He truly brings me all my peace and joy. He is the source of my strength and He can be yours too. Stop trying to fit into this world, at your workplace, in your relationships...look to Jesus. He is worthy of your praise and adulation.

Sharing your faith with others takes patience and precision.  When we know the Word of God is true and we know the contents, we are prepared to answer questions. People will bombard you with all kinds of questions in regards to the truth of Jesus Christ and the validity of His Word. Know Him. Study Him. Share Him. And always do it with love, gentleness and respect. 

Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 2 Timothy 4:2

Faith is getting up to walk through the door before the Lord opens it. We must trust in Him in order to believe. Our faith is what moves the hands of the Lord. Too often we wait for the Lord to make the move before we do but how is that honoring Him? How is that displaying faith? True faith is moving before He does and knowing He will sustain us.

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24  

My husband and I declared this was going to be the summer of Christian and Cindy and it was in every way. You blessed us with a very intimate small circle of friends whom we love and trust. We are grateful for those that spent time with us in spite of their busy schedules. We choose to make time for one another or we don't therefore the effort was so appreciated. It did our hearts good. And we are also  thankful for all the quiet days alone with you. They were more precious than gold.  So as another wonderful summer starts to wind down, I say thank you for being so amazing to us. I thank you for every breath I take of every day. I will continue to cherish you in every season. 

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

We do not always know why things happen as they do in our lives. Why so much pain, grief, disappointment but we know we believe in a living God who loves us and wants the best for us. When we meditate on that truth we can know that even during the storms of life, He is working things through on our behalf. Even when there seems to be nothing happening, He is working things out. We must trust and believe and continue in prayer. The rainbow always follows the rain for He is faithful to those that love Him.

Sunday, August 16, 2015 "Wait Upon Him"

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Psalm 27:14

It is all about God's perfect timing and learning to wait upon Him.  I have learned to be more patient when waiting.  And I have to say, I feel myself more at rest and at peace. I know that it will happen in His time, according to His will. So if I made the commitment to follow Him for the rest of my life than my faith and trust in Him must take precedent over all other things. Are you allowing Him to lead you in all areas of your life? Or are you holding on to some things you are too impatient for? You can let go of it all and be still in His presence if you simply choose to. You can know with all assurance that if He wants to bless you in that area, He will. No need to try to do it on your own. Let go today and wait upon the Lord. (Isaiah 40:31)

Friday, August 14, 2015 "Context"

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

As I have learn more about how to read the Bible, I have found how important it is not to take a verse out of context for it can change the whole meaning. A great way to remember is to break down the word context, without the text, you are only left with a con. Amen to that!

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 
2 Timothy 3:1-5

My attitude is life is too short to be unhappy. The Lord tells us to be wise as serpents, to guard our hearts and not to throw pearls at swine. In other words, avoid people with qualities that are less than holy. We are not to isolate ourselves but rather fellowship with those that share our beliefs, values, goals, therefore I choose to be with those that lift me up, not tear me down. We were created to be image bearers of Christ and that is what I intend to be and if it means backing off from those that choose not to obey the Lord's vision, than that is what it means, for I love God more.

I choose to live a simple peaceful life. No bells, no whistles, no drama, no chaos. The Lord is not the author of confusion therefore I avoid it at all costs. For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints (1 Corinthians 14:33You can do it too by living a life of positive thinking and positive words. Speaking life in your life and the life of your loved ones makes all the difference in the world. Choose peace. Choose Christ.

Monday, August 10, 2015 "Happy Birthday to my Husband"

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” Ephesians  5:31

Today is my precious husband's birthday. What a beautiful man he is from the inside and out. The love of the Lord is upon Him. His light of love shines bright. He is a righteous son of God and he is blessed. Today I honor him on his special day and am so grateful to call him my husband.

Man cannot stop God from blessing you.  If the Lord ordains it for your life, it shall come to pass. No door opened by God can ever be closed by man. Believe it. Know it. Trust it.

Saturday, August 8, 2015 "My Relationship with God"

It is okay to be angry. It is okay to get upset. It is okay to be disappointed. Emotions are normal, they are natural. What we don't want is for anything to manifest. Suppressing or holding things in is not good for us. A bad or negative attitude can wreak havoc on our spiritual self so be mindful and keep it under control. I think it is good to get a good scream out or have a good cry. The Lord knows our hearts and hears our cries so nothing is being "hidden" from Him. I am very honest and upfront with the Lord. In fact people would think I am crazy because I twirl and float in my pool all day just talking away with God. Before you know it, hours have passed. He is my confidant, my best friend. I don't try to be something I am not in front of God. He knows when I am mad or worried. I bring it all to the cross. And guess what? I don't have ulcers, sleepless nights, worry warts or emotional issues. I am a healthy daughter of the living God. I am whole. I am at peace. And I am loved by our Father in Heaven. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,o him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

Never discount the power of God for nothing is impossible for Him.  He can move that mountain that has you trapped with faith as small as a mustard seed. Faith is the key for it is believing in our Almighty God and believing His Word is true. When we believe in all of His promises, we move His hand. The Lord is able to do exceedingly abundantly in our lives. Don't forget that and hold on to Him. Don't give up for He is with you and He is mighty to save.

Wednesday, August 5, 2015 "Unwholesome Talk"

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

Why do people judge and criticize others?  The truth is many people hold others up to a higher standard than they have for themselves.  I know someone who brags so much about their own family and accomplishments and can complement their own children but is tight lipped when it comes to anyone else. They find fault, they shift blame while taking zero accountability themselves. We all know someone like that. The tongue can cause so much damage when it is not tamed. We need to speak words of encouragement, affirmation and life. Speak what is holy and helpful to others. Let us build each other up and be a blessing to one another.

Monday, August 3, 2015 "Lifetime or a Season"

A time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; Ecclesiastes 3:6

The Word tells us some people, some places, and some things may last for a lifetime or simply for a season of time. I thank the Lord for all of those seasons of people that have come and gone. But I am most thankful for blessing me, for a lifetime, with the most amazing Godly husband a girl could ever pray for.  And for the handful of lifetime relationships He has blessed us both with. Good honest solid Christian brothers and sisters who love us unconditionally for who we are, flaws and all. What a gift they are. So if you are going through season changes in your life, embrace them. Allow the Lord to work through them and know those in your life are meant to be there, for now...or for a lifetime.

Sunday, August 2, 2015 "The Enemy's Plan"

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10

The enemy comes to distract us from our calling.  We were created in God's image to glorify Him. When you are being tempted, tested, and tried, just know where it is coming from and why. When you understand his purpose, you can gain understanding and you will no longer react to it. The enemy is an instigator, plain and simple, and what were we taught to do with instigators? Ignore them and they will go flee. Call upon the name of Jesus and they do flee. (James 4:7We have all authority over the enemy so do not fear. Stand on the rock of truth. (Ephesians 6:13) Continue to be at peace and at rest and continue to spread the good news to all you meet. Be bold in knowing you are the victor and trust in the Lord to do the rest. The battle has already been won!

Friday, July 31, 2015 "He Will Never Disappoint"

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7

Be anxious for nothing and know the Lord is with you. Put all your faith and trust in Him and no one else. He is the only one who will never leave you or disappoint you. Trust in Him and Him alone. Amen!

Thursday, July 30, 2015 "The Way we Treat Others"

"Do to others as you would have them do to you". Luke 6:31

Be very careful the way you treat others for you will reap what you sow. When we sow goodness and kindness and love to another person, we will reap the same. But when we are unkind to someone, do not be surprised if that comes back to you.  If someone sins against you, take it to your brother or sister so they can do right by you. (Matthew 18:15) Don't harbor resentment or anger because it will manifest into so much more and before you know it, you are no longer speaking to the person out of anger. None of this if pleasing to God so let us treat one another with dignity and respect. Let us be honest in love and speak truth. This is how we build the kingdom of God. #sowgoodseed
