Tuesday, September 29,2015 "Resist"

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world
1 Peter 5:8-9

None of us are exempt from satanic attacks, but I do believe the more you press on for the Kingdom of God, the greater the resistance. We must pray, pray, pray! We need to rebuke satan and his servants, casting them out and binding them up. Having done all, then stand in the peace and presence of our most living Father.

Monday, September 28, 2015 "Lean Not on your Own Understanding"

We can literally drive ourselves crazy wondering why things are happening as they are, why people are doing what they are doing...but you know what?...sometimes you just have to let it go and trust God with it.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Sunday, September 27, 2015 'We Are the Head not the Tail"

The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Deuteronomy 28:13

To fail is to be human. We will all experience success and failure in our lifetime. We mustn't let our pride get in the way of trying. When it comes to our life with Jesus, we must always know we are the head, not the tail. We are the victor, never the victim. Our messes will always become messages. We will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Amen!

Saturday, September 26, 2015 "Our Choice"

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. John 5:24

Life is a series of choices. We choose what to wear, what to eat, where to work, where to live, who to hang out with...and we choose our eternal future. The truth is the Lord desires for all His children to dwell with Him forever, but He does not make that choice for us. He gives us the free will to make our own choice. Salvation is more than a prayer, it is a life commitment.
Choose Jesus=Eternal Life.

Friday, September 25, 2015 "April Fool's Day"

The atheist's day of celebration? April 1st.

For the director of music. Of David.
The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. Psalm 14:1

Thursday, September 24, 2015 "The Message"

As a Christian person spreading the good news, I equate myself to a newspaper delivery person...I can only deliver the paper (the message)  it is up to you to read (receive) it.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Wednesday, September 23, 2015 "Remember"

Take a moment each week to think about what your life would be like if the Lord would not have justified your heart. This spiritual reminiscing will serve as a continual reminder of the truly miraculous power of God. Be careful not to become desensitized to the change that God has made in your life.-Etzel & Gutierrez

Tuesday, September 22, 2015 'Stand up for Christ"

This world is turning very cold.  Do not be discouraged.  Do not conform to this world but instead be the beacon of light. We must be the ray of hope others need. We must not be silenced. We must be bold in these end days.  Stand up for Christ.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Monday, September 21, 2015 "I Can Do All Things"

We all need to focus on how God thinks and what He thinks of us.  The enemy wants us to suffer physically, mentally and most of all spiritually. As Joyce Meyer says, "the battlefield is the mind". We need to work on strengthening our minds and bodies in order to battle this spiritual war. Philippians 4:13 is not just a familiar Bible verse: "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." Allow these words to empower your mind. They are filled with wisdom and biblical truth. God loves you. You are saved by grace and there is nothing you can do to change that. Live in victory for you are the head not the tail! Deuteronomy 28:13 Amen.

Sunday, September 20, 2015 "Our Mind"

It is hard to move forward when our mind is in the past.

"Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 1:13

Saturday, September 19, 2015 "Not Having God First in Your Life"

God must come first in your life, no matter what. Family, job, responsibilities all may seem like noble causes for missing church, Bible study, prayer time, alone time with the Lord, but they are not justifiable. Just remember that anything/anyone that comes before the Lord is considered an idol in His eyes.  Idolatry is a deadly silent sin so be mindful and be aware. (Exodus 20:3-6) Put God front and center and trust Him to allow everything else to come together.

Friday, September 18, 2015 'Hold on"

Hold on to God. He is all you need!

"For I am the LORD your God who takes
hold of your right hand and says to you,
Do not fear; I will help you." Isaiah 41:13

Thursday, September 17, 2015 'A Transformed Life"

To know Jesus is to know peace.  When you truly accept Him into your heart, your life will be transformed. (Romans 10:9)Your sinful ways become unbearable and you find yourself turning away from things and sometimes people you once associated with. It is a very natural and beautiful change and as you transform, people begin to notice. This is when others see His face and light in you.
Be the light for Jesus today and everyday!

Wednesday, September 16, 2015 "Better than Bitter"

Don't give up or lose hope when it seems the world is turning cold.  They say it is really a sign of the end times.  But instead on focusing on the negative or what you are not getting, focus on God's love for you. Know that your life and future is secure in Him. But I know sometimes we will have those moments. I get discouraged when I feel like I give more than I receive. I am a big foodie so I love to cook and invite people for parties and dinner and it is a joy of mine. And I do it because I want to and never for anything in return, but I would be lying if I said I don't get hurt that no one ever calls to invite me over or out to get a cup of coffee. It is extremely hurtful, but I refuse to let it manifest and make my heart become bitter. I refuse to stop being who I was called to be. My home will forever be open to others. Better than bitter! Only way to be.
I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:12-13

Tuesday, September 15,2015 "Free Gift"

"The Bible teaches that God invites anyone to accept His free gift, knowing that sufficient payment cannot be found within the power or abilities of the person who stands in need of salvation. This payment for sin does not spring forth from a heart that is tainted with sin. You cannot change your spiritual state by some deed or physical act. The best deed done with the purest of intentions in man's eyes will never be able to change his spiritual state of sinfulness."-Weider & Gutierrez
Acts 16:30-31

Monday, September 14, 2015 "Say Yes"

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6

My Lord promises me a hope and a future.
Who would ever want to turn that down?
Say yes to Jesus!

Sunday, September 13, 2015 "Just Keep Sharing Jesus"

Don't let the results determine your actions. We may not always know if our evangelizing saved a life but we know our God saves, and He wants His children to come to know Him and not perish. Therefore we must place our faith and trust in Him and not judge our worth by stats. Just keep sharing Jesus!

This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. John 15:8

Saturday, September 12, 2015 "No Place Like Home"

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. Proverbs 24:3-4

There is no place like home. Yes it is a famous movie line but to me, there is no place like home. I love to be home. It is where I am most happy and safe. We call it our haven. It is place of peace and balance, no chaos or strife. My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.(Isaiah 32:18) It is a place where the Lord dwells and His Spirit is felt by all who enter. We pray that every guest leaves differently than when they came and that their spirits are refreshed and renewed.
May His love fill your home and hearts!

Friday, September 11, 2015

We will never forget.
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” Romans 12:19

Thursday, September 10, 2015 'Lord, Please Help Me"

"Lord, please help me." It is the most effective yet shortest prayer we could ever cite. Three of the most powerful words. Lord God hear me and answer my prayer.

Help me, LORD my God; save me according to your unfailing love. Psalm 109:26

Wednesday, September 9, 2015 "Be Bold"

When some of God's soldiers wake up in the morning and their feet hit the bedroom floor, the enemy says, "Oh no, she's up!" Let us be one of those warriors for Christ!

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Tuesday, September 8, 2015 "Those in Need"

Never give only to receive. We are to give to others joyfully and willingly, no strings attached. I get saddened when I see others only "lend" to someone they know can and will pay them back. How about giving that person a love offering instead? We can never out give God. What we do to our brother, we do to Him. (Matthew 25:40) Let us not get it confused. People separate the two but we really shouldn't.
But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous. Luke 14:13-14

Monday, September 7, 2015 "Obedience"

Obedience unlocks the Lord's supernatural power in our lives.

But this command I gave them: ‘Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. And walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’ Jeremiah 7:23

Sunday, September 6, 2015 "Take Back Your Mind"

It is time we take back our minds. The enemy holds many strongholds in our minds and thoughts. We need to break these chains of bondage by the power of the Word of God, that is manifested through the Holy Spirit of truth. Right now ask God in the name of Jesus to allow the Holy Spirit to illuminate your mind as you read the Bible and get in agreement with the Word of God so you can become free today!

"But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. "He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. "All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you. A little while, and you will no longer see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me." John 16:13-16

Saturday, September 5, 2015 "Our Steps"

A person's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand their own way? Proverbs 20:24

Friday, September 4, 2015 "No Such Thing as Luck"

People love to use the words luck and coincidence.  Truth is when you believe in Jesus Christ, there are no such things. We believe in His blessings of favor and grace for He ordains every day we live. Nothing left to "chance".
In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will. Ephesians 1:11

Thursday, September 3, 2015 "Count it all Joy"

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds." James 1:2

I have learned to embrace every stage of life.  If you are single, embrace your singleness. Don't dwell or obsess about being married, embrace where you are.  Same goes for when you are married, embrace being married and do not dwell or obsess about being single.  Through my spiritual journey I can honestly say I know what it is like to be in the palace and in the pit. I have had great wealth and poverty in my life. I have experienced great loss.  The truth is we all will have stages and/or seasons of time that are more joyful than others. When we learn to embrace it all and count it all joy, we will have a deeper peace and understanding. We can't avoid trials therefore why try? What we can do is maintain a positive mindset at all times. In doing this, we can learn how to embrace everything that comes our way and in doing so, God is glorified.

Wednesday, September 2, 2015 "Why Did God Allow this to Happen?"

"and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me." Psalm 50:15

People will curse God or get angry and blame Him when bad things happen to them.  But the truth is He allows those very things to happen to get the attention of the person.  When a non believer, meaning they have yet to confess Jesus Christ as their Lord, has tragedy or challenges in their life, they are quick to blame God. "Why me?" "Where is God?" "Why did a loving God allow this bad thing to happen?" Life's challenges whether they are relational, financial, physical or even spiritual, are opportunities from the Lord. He wants you to turn to Him and allow Him into your life. Are you having a hard time lately and feeling overwhelmed? Are you searching for peace and are unable to find it? Call upon the name of Jesus and He will come to you and comfort you and give you rest. There is a purpose for why this is happening. #trustJesus

Tuesday, September 1, 2015 "Hold Captive Every Thought"

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Christians are to have clean minds. We shouldn't pollute our them with things that are not holy. When we allow sinful thoughts to enter our minds, it often times will lead to sinful acts. So it is vital we hold captive every thought. This is pleasing to God.
