Tuesday, December 29, 2015 "Overcome Evil with Good"

Do not allow others to put their messes on your doorstep. Sometimes people measure themselves based on other people's lives and accomplishments. While others tend to compete and compare. I say let us celebrate one another by encouraging and uplifting one another. With so much junk in the world, we are called to be the light and the salt. Let us obey the Lord and be His beacon and show others His love.  How refreshing would that be?
"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."  Romans 12:21

Monday, December 28, 2015 "Count It All Joy"

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds." James 1:2

It is natural to reflect back when the year is coming to end, and I pray that your year had more joys than sorrows. The Word teaches us to count it all joy for the "Lord  works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

Sunday, December 27, 2015 "For They Do Not Know"

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. 
Luke 23:34
The behavior of others can sometimes get me down.  When they treat me or say something to me that is meant to hurt or embarrass me it saddens my heart.  What I have learned is to counter their actions with prayer.  So if someone is hurting you or angering you instead of getting upset and hurting your own walk, pray for them. The Bible says to "pray for they do not know". The wrath of God will fall upon anyone that hurts His child so you need to pray for their hearts. So let's pray together now when we ask the Lord to please forgive those that come against us and fill their hearts with your love and show them how to be. In His name we pray, Amen.

Saturday, December 26, 2015 "I Choose Faith Over Doubt"

 "But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind." James 1:6
You can choose to have doubt or you can choose to have faith but you can't have both. God is irritated when we doubt and fear for we are basically saying we don't trust He can take care of our circumstances. When we place our faith in doubt we are rejecting the Lord's promises. No faith, no promises. Let us place all of our faith and trust in the One true God for He can do all things. I choose faith!

Friday, Christmas December 25, 2015 "One Solitary Life"

He was born in an obscure village
The child of a peasant woman
He grew up in another obscure village
Where he worked in a carpenter shop
Until he was thirty when public opinion turned against him

He never wrote a book
He never held an office
He never went to college
He never visited a big city
He never traveled more than two hundred miles
From the place where he was born
He did none of the things
Usually associated with greatness
He had no credentials but himself

He was only thirty three
His friends ran away
One of them denied him
He was turned over to his enemies
And went through the mockery of a trial
He was nailed to a cross between two thieves
While dying, his executioners gambled for his clothing
The only property he had on earth

When he was dead
He was laid in a borrowed grave
Through the pity of a friend

Nineteen centuries have come and gone
And today Jesus is the central figure of the human race
And the leader of mankind’s progress
All the armies that have ever marched
All the navies that have ever sailed
All the parliaments that have ever sat
All the kings that ever reigned put together
Have not affected the life of mankind on earth
As powerfully as that one solitary life

Thursday, December 24, 2015 "Nothing is Impossible"

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

Nothing is impossible with God. There is not a problem in your life that God can not solve.  He gives us full authority and power over the enemy when we keep our eyes on Him. So stay in the Word, be strong and courageous and focus on the power of the blood, not the circumstance and you will be victorious.  Praise God!

I truly believe that nothing happens that God does not allow.  I know when I am obedient to His will I am living in His holiness therefore I am blessed.  I do not suffer from guilt or self suffering for I know my steps are ordained by Him.  When I sin and fail, He picks me up and places me back on the righteous path. I try to concentrate on Him and not dwell on life's woes.  It is not always easy but with His mercy and grace, it gets easier. #sogratefulforJesus

Monday, December 21, 2015 "Stop Worrying So Much"

Be anxious for nothing but in all things pray. The Bible is clear we are to bring all of our worries and cares to the Lord for He cares for us. I know when I begin to get nervous and feel anxiety building I will softly say, "Jesus Jesus Jesus". I know He has everything in His control and He doesn't want me to worry so much but it is hard. So if you are like me and worriment is a struggle, ask Him to deliver you from it and meditate on scriptures that speak on worrying and anxiety. It always seems to help me and I pray it can help you too. Be blessed and trust in Him. 
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6

'Tis the season of hustling and bustling.  Last minute shopping, never ending to do lists, menu planning, cards to mail etc...but we mustn't lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas for Jesus is the center of it all. He is the giver of all of our blessings and gifts, not an old man in a red suit. Let us keep CHRIST in Christmas

The Lord will allow things in our lives to happen when He wants us to move and when He is trying to get our attention.  It is so important that we are in touch with the Spirit and are able to discern when it is happening. The way we equip ourselves is by being holy, prayerful, and obedient. 
"More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." Romans 5:3-5

Tuesday, December 8, 2015 "Christ in Christmas"

We need to be sensitive to others this time of year for many are suffering.  We must be empathetic to those that do not have the Christmas spirit and keep them in our prayers.  I never knew profound loss until I lost my parents, especially my Mom.  Holidays will never be the same, especially Christmas.  But with the Lord's love in my heart I was able to overcome the grief.  He shows us how to cope without our loved ones and how to rejoice in knowing they are reunited with their loved ones and Him in heaven. The truth is we never can know the battles others are facing therefore we mustn't judge or criticize but rather love, pray and support them. 'Tis the season so let us be ambassadors for Christ and put Christ back in Christmas. 
When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. Matthew 2:10

I truly pray for those that mock God for they do not know what they are doing. (Luke 23:34) Their souls are lost and their eyes are blind to the truth.  They speak death and cause destruction just by their words and acts.  May the Lord have mercy on them.

Being a Christian means we are called to be selfless, not selfish.  In this world of selfies and self gratification, there seems to be a disconnect with God.  This world is not a reflection of who my Father is nor what He stands for.  That is why we must continue to fight the good fight for God and not give up! The world may be turning cold but His children will remain on fire for Him.

Monday, November 30, 2015 "Miss You Dad"

The Lord called my Dad home ten years ago today.  I never experienced such loss before and it was and still is so profound to lose one or both of your parents.  You feel lost, alone and orphaned.  But the good news is when you are a child of God, you are never an orphan for you are His.  He healed my heart over the years, and I can truly say I can think of my Dad and smile and not cry over the loss. I was proud to be his daughter, and I know we will see each other again. #reunitedoneday
