As hard as it may be sometimes, try to combat evil with good. Allow the Lord's grace to be upon you so that they see His light in you. The world believes in "getting even" or reciprocating a dirty deed with another but we are called to disciple the world therefore we mustn't react or be as the world but rather do what pleases the Lord.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2
